I have been recently diagnosed with Crohn's.

For the past 6 months I have noticed air passing through my vagina. The air doesn't always pass through my vagina but sometimes take the normal route. Sometimes the air is in small amounts and sometimes it is literally a "fart" that is loud and obnoxious through my vagina.

I have never had fecal material pass vaginally but have had constant draining of pus and/or mucuous.

I had a CT scan for the fistula but it came up negative.

I have an ob/gyn appointment in a week and don't know if I should bring it up there, if there is something that she would be able to do about it. Not really sure what can be done to find them? Or maybe the cause is another ob/gyn related problem such as cyst (which I have)...

Just kind of confused and not sure where to go. Maybe someone else has some experience in this regards...

If you are passing gas vaginally, it's the most logical explanation. I only got fecal matter when my stools were soft. The softer the stools, the more fecal matter. The amount of fecal matter also increased over time. If the tract is small, you may only get pus or mucous. I would definitely mention it to your OB/GYN. She may be able to see it. Mine was able to see it, but that is not always the case. Somebody else may be able to weigh in on other tests they can do to determine if you have one.

I have a recto-vaginal Fistula that ima have to have looked at by a Surgeon. My Gastro Doc is sending me to a specialist after i have my Colonoscopy May 8th. I too have had fecal matter and air come out down there & its embarrassing, & sex really hurts. I`m afraid during sex i`ll have an accident.
