Fistula Surgey Help! Photo included.

Please help.

No known disease but have had problems with fissure etc.. since I was young.

5 years ago I got a bad absess and had general surgeon open up. 5 years later turned into a bad fistula which I had Seton put in for 6 weeks and a fistula opening surgey was done 10 day ago. The fistula itself is open and doing great but I know have 2 open sores on OTHER side that are killing me.


Any ideas?? please see photo

Sounds like it could be abscesses or more fistulas developing. Worth getting checked out.

Dave thank you for reply. Are abscess common after surgery? This doesn't feel like a new fistula but like 2 canker sores you would get in your mouth.

My fistule was on the other side not pictured and is opened and doing well.

Spoke with the RN on call doc can't see me until Tuesday and she said it sounds like Colitis sores. God only knows what that is. Doc mentioned in my chart.

I get infection in the incision sometimes. I get abscesses when I'm flairing. I've had them develop into fistulas in the past but not all the time. I'm glad your getting checked out.
