I went to the emergency room on 12/23 with typical Crohn's symptoms: abdominal pain, nausea, chills, but no rectal bleeding (I rarely have that). The CT revealed inflammation in my colon and the area where I'd had a recto-vaginal fistula and abscess worked on early December of 2011.
They admitted me to the hospital and I'm still here as of 12/26/12. I'm so frustrated! Between 12/23-12/25 I was being given 120mg of solu-medrol daily. My knees, legs and feet are so swollen that it's difficult to walk (I waddle more than anything).
I thought that this would be a two-three day admission and then I'd be discharged. The only testing being done now is daily labwork. Even now, doc said I'll probably be here until Friday. This is my second admission in five months. I haven't been like this in about three-four years.
There's such a myriad of emotions flowing. I'm the only one in my family that has it. At work, there's only one other person on my floor who has it. My family tries their best to be supportive and understanding, but it's not the same. In short, right now I feel like I can't win for losing.
