Green poop

Any causes? Had small portion of salad 2 nights ago.Literaly 6 bites. Never done it before.

I also started taking a multi vitamin. Could that be it?

Any thoughts???

Hi ontariomom. Yes,I have had green and every color of poop imaginable!what I have heard is the color shows transit time and absorption or malabsorption of bile. if its green,it passes very quickly through the small intestine. I don't think 6 bites of a salad would affect the color so much. Hope that makesk sense and it's helpful.

I am on an Ironbsupplement which makes my poo dark green! It could be your supplement if it has iron in perhaps?

i was thinking after wards that i started taking tylenol night time...and its got a blue coating, and my mulitvitamin(does have iron) and has a blue coating.....so wondered if maybe for some reason the blue was showing?

my stools are normally yellow so thining adding the blue to that would be green....

I dont know if its going through me fast, this wasnt any sooner after i ate then normal. But i dont know if that means anything.

I will see what today brings....i will try and watch and see if it turns green after i take my vitamin as well.

ok i had no vitamin so far to day, and my stools are back to yellowish/brown. So i guess that means its the vitamins???

I will take one tomorrow and see if it comes back.

Yeah, who knew poop could be a rainbow? Every day a new colour. I need to get out more.....

I have taken vitamins for a while too and observed the same thing. I do unfortunately not know if it has to do with the vitamin itself or with the dose one takes...? Any experiences?

well i havent taken the vitamins in a few days and no more green. Back to yellow / brownish.


If i didnt have diahreea so much right now i would try the vitamins again. But right now my behind is sore enough.....
