Hello everyone,
This will be the second log I am making to document the effectiveness of a CBD product. My wife has severe Crohns, and in my previous log we tried the Charlottes Web CBD oil. Unfortunately, the only positive effect my wife saw with CW was a better nights sleep. She still experienced intense stomach pains and upset stomach.
This go around, we are trying out the Haleigh's Hope CBD oil product from the Flowering Hope foundation. The specific product is the Haleigh’s Hope Organic 20:1 w/Safflower. This product is not high in THC. It is a "watered down" version of the more potent stuff that people in Colorado can get ahold of. Its bred down, from my understanding, to a Hemp oil which can be shipped 50 state wide. It's still derived from the real thing, just with a low THC count.
Anyways, at the end of my last thread it was determined that she was not taking enough to afford a positive response. She was taking one gelatin cap containing roughly 0.50 mL of CBD oil before going to sleep.
This go around, we are upping the dosage to a minimum of 1 mL a day, and might possibly go up from there under the presumption that "more is better".
She started the oil two days ago, and since there is practically no THC, we arent expecting instant results. She is also coming off of a flare, so there might be more time before seeing positive results there as well. However, the first night, she took 1mL of the CBD oil which filled up one and a half size "0" gelatin capsules. Last night, she took the same dosage.
The Haleigh's Hope bottle comes with a neat little dropper/syringe that is marked in 0.1mL intervals all the way up to 1.0mL, so its pretty easy to measure out. We are going to also look into breaking the dosage period from right before bedtime to 3 times a day. Possibly a whole gel cap at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Maybe a small amount before bed as well, but we'll see how it goes. I will update with pictures of the product when I get back to my personal computer.
