Hi everyone, we all know how this disease can really impact every part of our lives and even destroy families and relationships, so I just wanted to share some good news with you all....
My lovely partner Gareth and I have been together through some really tough times, most of the hardest related in some way to my illness. There have been many times where I could of understood if he didn't want to deal with it all anymore and decided to leave, but he's stood by me every step of the way and has always supported me at every turn.
On Wednesday night, while we were on holiday together, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! Of course I said YES and we are both really happy and excited. :dusty::dusty:
I can't tell you all how much it means to have the support of such an amazing man, but I just want to say for anyone feeling alone please don't give up, there are definitely people out there ready and willing to support us and deal with the ups and downs of chronic illness.
