because I thought that if I only eat certain foods and little amounts, that I would be fine....right?

WRONG! It apparently will strike whenever it wants to, even when you haven't eaten anything. We just got health insurance through my husband's work. Only thing is, we have to come up with a $3K deductible, which his employer matches what we put in, and then everything will be covered 100%, even prescriptions. That's a good deal, but we are behind on rent so we might not be able to meet that deductible right away.

We can, however, go to the doctor beforehand. They have to see us and just bill us, but I don't want to just have a field day until we meet that deductible.

My stomach has been a rotten mess since last week. It's really getting the best of me.

Plus, with having MS and neurological symptoms, I've had it up to my head. I feel like I'm going crazy. How do you guys deal with this?

Hiya Jamilea

Hope you're ok hun? was wondering where you were!
You're dead right about inflammation striking whenever it wants regardless of diet!
You're not going crazy, but you're suffering, so give your doc a ring, make that appt, I know it's money, but worry about that later, you come first, you and your health.
I deal with things like this by SCREAMING IN THE FACE OF THE DOC, DO SOMETHING, NOW!!!!
Pred is cheap, how about some of that?
Hope you get something sorted soon, good luck

Thanks Joan. I know I'm not really going crazy, but sometimes I do wish, and this may qualify me as crazy so hold on lol: I wish that I really was having just a psychiatric problem, where they can tell me what it is, and there's a pill, and I can go on with my life because I'm sick of feeling this way.

Is that normal?

Hey Jamilea, sorry to hear you haven't been so well. You're absolutely right about the inflammation striking whenever it feels like it! Glad to hear you've got insurance, and I can definitely empathize about the high deductible.

It's okay to feel like you're going crazy - I think most of us have been there, too. Try to take it as easy as you can, and please get yourself to the doctor as soon as you are able to. I agree with Joan, pred is cheap, so is Lomotil (anti-diarrhea med) so see what your insurance covers and ask the doc what your options are. Good luck, and please let us know how it goes and how you're doing.

I don't have the diarrhea issues, only constipation, however, I do have the diarrhea that is worse at time. Last year, I had diarrhea for a week!

I made an appointment. I requested one from the GI for next Thursday as my first choice. I will call tomorrow and follow up with it to try to get that set up. I will let you guys know.

Good Luck hun
and I know how you feel, I was going crazy mental for a long time, I think they had me booked in for a lobotomy too! I wanted to be sectioned under the Mental Health Act and just rock in a chair!
And once I got my dx, everything just made sense! I wanted to go on the telly and tell everyone 'I told ya I was ill, ya bunch of *******s!'
There is light at the end, just gotta find it! You'll get there, I did.
