Thanks, Spooky. It's really helped me feel less isolated to write about my experiences and to share stuff on my Facebook page. My older sister asked me not to write about my disease and that was pretty hurtful. She's afraid her friends will read it and she says that Crohn's consumes my life. I think Crohn's is part of my every day life because it affects so many things. Writing about it and connecting with others has been very therapeutic. And unlike my sister, I am not ashamed of the fact that I have Crohn's. It feels good to "own" it instead of letting it own me.
