I have been on Remicade since january and still having flares like clockwork. I was wondering how long should I give Remicade before labeling it FAIL?? any help will be appreciated.. Thanks Seth

I would label remicade a failure after that long. Most every remi story I have read the person has seen improvements after the second or third injection. I think 8 months is plent of time. My mom started feeling better after the first treatment with her crohns.

What dosage of remicade are you on? If you have seen any improvement, but not much, your dosage may need to be upped.....ifyou are already on a higher dosage and it isn't working, I would consider it a fail at this point.

When I started remicade I saw improvement within a month.....and I am on a LOW dosage according to my Dr.

Also - you say your flares are 'like clockwork'.....are they coming and going? Is there a pattern - like they occur just before the next infusion - how far apart are your infusions?.....

I was on 8 wk infusions and week 7 I always started to feel bad again. I started getting it every 6wks and it has really helped.

Im getting flares right before my infusions that are at 8 week periods. I will try and bump it up to every 6 weeks and see how it works. thanks for the comments! Seth
