I hate antibiotics

I hate antibiotics. I have had a bad respiratory infection and the dr gave me Levaquin and tamiflu. It has made me feel so bad it hurts my belly made me nauseated. I have gagged and gagged till my whole belly is sore . I have D . It is Christmas time and everyone is supposed to be having fun I am pissed and feeling like ****. Please I'm open to any suggestions

Make sure to take a probiotic while on Levaquin to avoid over growth of yeast. I'm sorry you are feeling so bad. Make sure you get plenty of fluids, especially with diarrhea. Pedialyte (for kids) comes in clear, flavorless variety. You can mix it something more palatable. Good luck, and i hope you feel better.

Imp gave you very good advice. You really have to drink lots because they can upset your tummy and cause Hiatus hernias (like I do) or ulcers. But you have to finish them or they dont work for the problem you have. Hang in there.

I'm on antibiotics now too... a z-pac for a sinus infection. I plan on lotso yogurt. I think its azithromycin... not sure though.

Sorry Bethy! Hope you clear it quickly....I'd do everything IMP says - hopefully it will help. If the diarrhea is a new symptom for you and is severe, I might give the doc a call to just to make sure it isn't effecting your Crohn's (did your GI give you that or you GP? I always clear antibiotics with my GI nurse as she knows which ones might effect my Crohn's). Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

I was on azithromycin, burned my stomach a bit, and first time ever on it and had Pnemonia and it helped.
