Our Joan has become quite ill. She is always so helpful and perky to everyone here, but I think we need to pull together and help her get back on the road to recovery.

She has been there countless times for me and has been an inspiration to us all, she is there for newbies and helps everyone she can. Sometimes we forget about ourselves when we help others, and Joan is one of them!

Feel better kiddo I know this will pass and getting on the right med for you will help you get back to our Joan. :hug:

*sigh* I hate it when my "gut" is right.... :(

Noticed her "missing" the last little while, and was starting to get a bit concerned.... She is ALWAYS there.... I think there are a few people around here who do the very same thing... trying to take care of everyone else and ignoring their own pain .... *Silver gives Jetta the "eye"...*

Hopefully this passes soon, and she gets back to being her bubbly self... but in the mean time.... REST.... those of us who aren't doing so bad can manage.... and re-read older posts to seek encouragement :)

I also noticed Joan wasn't on here as much lately. I was hoping it was due to good circumstances rather than crummy ones. Sorry to hear the bad news!

I hope you feel better soon, Joan! You were just starting to get over all that nonsense with Pred and stuff. Don't worry about us in the meantime. You just get better :) But we will miss your shining presence while you recover!

Dunno what's up? I feel really nauseous and my lower back hurts again, this has just suddenly come on, and I'm hoping it's cos I'm coming down off Entocort! OR
am I narrowing again?
I'm still spaced out and foggy too!
couldn't sleep last night, my hips were ragging!
just gotta ride this storm and get to next week, only taking an Entocort every other day now, will stop completely next week, fingers crossed!

I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling ill. :( Really wish there was anything I could do for you, cause you are always so sweet and caring to all of us! I certainly hope you are on the road to recovery in no time. *bighug*

Being on cortisone can have so many strange side effects, and coming off it can create the weirdest pains and symptoms. :( Unfortunately. I really hope that your nausea and hip/back pains are just some weird withdrawal symptom that will go away asap!

Oh Joan! Sorry to hear that you aren't doing so well at the moment. You always have such great advice for everyone else and seem so strong.
I wish you all the best and hope that you are back to your "normal" self soon.

I'm also thinking along the same lines as Silver, maybe kidney infection, UTI?

Oh Joan, so depressed to hear you're poorly again. I had a shit load of trouble coming off the Pred so I'm hoping it's the Endocort withdrawal that's giving you this trouble. We're all fighting this with ya. Hang in there darlin,

I havent spoken to Joan since early this morning, and I am a wee bit worried because I can always get hold of her. She said she was almost going to go to ER last night but she managed somehow. She will contact us as soon as she is able. She is in bed now sleeping the time zone is 5 hours ahead. As soon as I know something, I will keep you updated.

She is a strong person but as of late she is pretty sick.

Awww Joanie, i am just so sad to hear that you are not feeling well. You have been so very important and supportive to me & have become a very bright star in our forum family. And to think I finally figured out the damned msn thing!

Ohh god love ya dear, remember to rest and do wot the docs say, please let me know if i can be of any support and focus upon yourself. I just didn't know how badly you felt dear & there i am with my smartass remarks.

I got a one liner from her this morning. She didnt have a blockage, right now she is still fighting a headache, and other symptoms, but she is ok! I hope she is going to come on here later and give everyone an update.

Hi everybody!

I am so overwhelmed by all this! truly wanna cry! I really do!
I didn't go A&E, I'm not blocked, thank god!
but I feel like I've been hit with a 2 by 2 on my head! can hardly open my eyes!
I've got D and major muscle and joint pains, but have been to see pharmasist and he reckons it's entocort withdrawal! He's given me some more Syndol, it has paracetamol, codeine, caffeine and a muscle relaxant called doxylamine, it'll make me drowsy so hopefully I'll sleep tonight!

Thank goodness it wasn't a blockage! Hopefully the medication works and you'll be feeling better soon!

Just to let you all know she is doing so much better! Yay! But I am making her rest! She has a busy day today with family. She is on holidays now so she will be on soon.

She was crying because she couldnt believe how much everyone was so supportive of her. I told her we all love her because she helps others even when she is in need of help.

Rest up girl!!! :nonono: That is an order.;)

I hope you are feeling better, Joan! I have been away for a few days (traveling to see friends) and haven't been able to get on to the forum. Sorry to see that you aren't feeling well! I hope you feel better very, very soon!
