Shanen, he's a cutie! And don't worry about struggling to post pics, I also struggle to do so since my former way changed (I used to post from photobucket but they changed their rules).

Madhu, yes, I'm going for the job at the stool sample place. There's a temp position which starts the week after next, and in late January there's a permanent position that starts there. I should hopefully be a shoo-in for both positions. With any luck I'll only be unemployed for another week or so.

That's awesome. Congratulations Cat :)

Wow.Shanen.What a little smasher.Just gorgeous !!!
I too am technically challenged so I'm on Sandy's tuition list as well.

.....Sandy and Doug and Tony......There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking you face but remember,Never trust a dog to watch your food.

Miniature dachshund VS Birthday cake... YUP it happened, you heard it here first! I found our old dog Dashey standing in the middle of the cake with icing everywhere. We all had to laugh. I guess she thought it was her birthday. :)

Sorry Ron, we won. We even have the prize, and here he is. (LOW has gone to the dogs.) We've been tempted for weeks, but finally gave in to our temptations, and hoping my allergies don't get the best of me. Meet Casper our new little friend.
(He likes to watch tv, particularly when he sees a dog on it.)
picture.php
That is great. :)

Casper looks like a rescue Sandy ? If he is,he's found a lovely warm family to love him.
At least when Doug retires,he and Dave will take him out and you can enjoy some "me" time........It's almost 3 yrs since Alfie trotted over Rainbow Bridge and I miss him every day. We've had dogs for more than fifty years and for all the love laughter and long walks we had,I cannot allow any more heartbreak when losing them.It would be the end of me.Hence Little Blackie.....bike for those of you who don't know.Lovely day,so going for a cycle soon'

Sandy is yet to share her wisdom with us on how to upload pics [emoji16]

Very soon. Sorry, my "tuit" (as in my get around tuit, ie too it) has been a little broken as of late. I feel a little internal repair job going on, tho.

Sandy...sorry to hear your get up and go just got up and went...know the feeling...feel better...looking forward to hearing of Casper’s adventures I.N his new home.
It was a very foggy morning this am...not very encouraging day for the gym...but went anyway....it is very energizing..
Can’t help looking at the beautiful contented baby that Shanen shared with us.
Anyone else see that meteor shower and spectacular moon last night....I am a stargazer..
always aiming for the moon...didn’t catch it yet....nor any of the falling stars...would have liked a few to share with you all and one to put in my pocket for a rainy day...
I did win the lottery last week...three numbers plus bonus..big prize $5....well it will buy another ticket...
So....Winning...

I went for my b12 shot this morning. I usually have one foot i drag when walking but my friend said that didn't happen this morning.

Hello all, puppies, dogs and babies are absolutely adorable! I hope that everyone has a great week and that all feel better tomorrow than they did today! Winning for now

Hi Carol! Yes, Casper is a rescued dog. We got him from the Utah Animal Adoption Center, a no kill shelter in Salt Lake City. He is the second dog we adopted from there. The other was Allie.

Sandy Casper is so lucky to have a home with you two now. He will want for nothing and have the best care and love a dog could wish for. 💞

I have been researching Cannabis oil for my Crohn's and arthritis. It has been sanctioned by the government for use as a supplement. There's no "high"with it and you have to be sure it's coming from the plant and not being "manufactured" in China.Going for a run in the country and to pick some up in a health shop where I saw it a while ago.It will take a while before I feel the benefits (if I do,of course) so I will let you know in the New Year.

Sandy and Doug, good job getting a rescue dog! Lily is also a rescue. She's a purebred pembroke Welsh corgi and was bought from a breeder by her original owners with their intention for her to be a show dog. But after 2 years, the original owners moved and weren't able to have Lily at their new place, so she became my dog. She's never actually been a show dog and I consider her to be a rescue, because I rescued her from a bad situation (she was staying with her original owner's uncle while they tried to rehome her, and the uncle wasn't treating her well - she was in dire need of a nail trim and a brushing, and she was being fed the cheapest, crappiest food, and just generally wasn't being treated with any love or affection by the uncle).

Carol, good luck withe the cannabid oil! Lily was given some free samples of that at the expensive hippie dog food store, although we haven't tried it on her yet because she doesn't seem to be in any pain. They told us it's legal here because it's made from hemp, not from marijuana. Although maybe the dog version is different than the human version? I'm not sure. I'll let you know how it goes if we ever do try it on Lily, but for the time being she's showing no signs of pain.

Cat glad that lily is seeming pain free that is a blessing, along with the fact she has defied the 3months the vets give her.. good girl lily, keep on keeping on oh cutie one 🐶🐾
Hope the oil works if and when you try it. Im hoping you dont have to by the way. 💕

Carol iv been mulling over the canabis option re my joint pain rather than 10 tonnes(slight exaggeration) of pain killers i now take. I figure if its natural then it should less harmful than tablets. Only thing is i dont think its legal in my neck of the woods as prescribed medication 🤔. Still maybe the hemp kind is legal...i feel some research is on the cards.x

Wishing the best for Lily.

Thanks Ron & Mandy, it's now been 4.5 months since Lily's surgery - her original estimated time left was 3 months, so she's blown past that. She is still eating well, although resting a lot. But if I dare even whisper the word "treat", she's up and letting me know that she really would like a treat please. So for the time being, we're okay!

Mandy, yeah, do look into the hemp version. I was told that it's totally legal and okay here (I'm in a state where marijuana is not legal). I just looked at the label for the stuff I was given for Lily, and it says it contains both hemp oil and hemp protein.

So I might get a job tomorrow. :D I had a phone interview scheduled for next week, but they wanted to move it up to be sooner, so we've scheduled it for tomorrow morning. It sounds like they want to hire me and want me to start right away (it's a temp job, but it's at the stool sample place, and there's a permanent job there which starts in late January which I'm also interviewing for in a couple weeks). So, with any luck, I might start work tomorrow after my interview! Or the day after, or next week. But at some point soon, I'll be back at work, and won't be on the forum as much. I'll update you guys when I can though.

Wow great news Cat.. i so so hope it goes well for you tomorrow hun. Hoping to hear you are re employed at the place you really wanted to be at. You will be missed here if your busy with your new job, but we will sacrifice you being on here for the fact that the job is so wanted and needed ☺💞💞
Been googling hemp oil cbd oil(which is now legal here) etc mmmm bit dear though, yes i can get some at holland and barrets health shop for around £5.00 but not sure if its going to work as well as the other dearer stuff. In the meanwhile i will let Carol be a guinepig and see how she gets on with what she has bought
. Hope it helps her and if so i may give it a whirl myself.
Signing off with a win(ing smile ☺) time for some shut eye now.love n hugs to all 💕💞💝

Well, I didn't get the job today, but only because they forgot to call me. Apparently there was some mix-up on their end. They were supposed to call me at 9 AM, I waited by my phone for an hour and then emailed them at 10 AM to ask if we can reschedule because nobody called me. They responded to my email right away with apologies, and we're rescheduling the call for tomorrow. They initially suggested trying to call me again early this afternoon, but I had already worked my guts into a nervous tizzy (job interviews make me nervous to begin with, and add to that the fact that I'm always on time and it drives me crazy when others aren't on time or blow me off), so I need to spend the rest of today calming my guts down (didn't tell them that part, just said that tomorrow works better for me). I'm hoping to go to the gym this afternoon if I can get my guts a bit calmer by then, because the gym is my #1 stress relief.

So yeah, I guess now wish me luck that I get the job tomorrow. Ugh.

Mandy....I bought the oil y/day.Bloody hell !!! it's in a dropper and you can use 10 drops under the tongue up to four times a day. There are 20 doses in each bottle. It's Swiss made and good stuff and I bought two.BUT it was £39-95 a bottle,I took two doses y/day and have taken two today. My stomach was a lot better this morning, but that could have been a fluke. It did nothing for my chronic back pain this p.m.But it's early days.H&B do an oil for £19-99 and of course the hemp capsules which are not as strong as the oil,but a heck of a lot cheaper.I would prefere capsules. Will see how things go until I finish what I have. There was an article in the Sunday paper on Pat Butcher,(East Enders) who swears by it and is leaping around like a kid despite having bad pain for years. But I don't think I'd like to pay what I have, given the length of time it lasts.Tramadol and Sopadeine do the job just fine.

You are right Tony.....love you new 🐶...wish I could have one....So Carol where’s the docs note? and by the way would you be related to Arnie the Terminator ?.......just thinking...
Mandy thank you for the concern.....bit of a rough road ahead at the moment..might throw it into a Santa sack and get rid of it all......but then 🐖 pigs might fly....
Cat....so sorry you had such a huge disappointment ..those people are very remiss...hopefully the job will be worth all the effort....here’s rooting for you..
Ron..hope you are feeling better

we need a doctors note or else you are off to the Headmasters office :hallo3:

You've been AWOL longer than I have. But you're excused as you're suffering from puppyliciousness.Thankyou for sharing Alfies pics you lucky so and so.

Hey Carol , Alfie is a handful , at the moment he is trying to eat his new pop up crate , he already made a hole in the door , so we might have to go back to the metal option ,
hope you are doing well ,
I'm not too bad at the moment , was a little lacking in energy so the hospital topped me up with a pint of blood so that should help with the energy levels , unless the puppy slows down im going to need it ,
hope everyone else is doing well and will get even a little better as even a little better with us means a lot .

I've been responsible for all of our dogs, hubby and son bringing in the vet/dog food/toy money .Had dogs for fifty years.Once had three G.Shepherds and a J.Russel at the same time. But that was in my thirties.I can well remember the chaos big breed pups cause. That's why,as I got older we had Alfie as our last one.Far easier and just as much fun.But I could walk six miles in those days and love the social part of dog walking. My life has changed since those happy days. Not that it's not happy now....just different.

that was very brave Carol , 3 shepherds and a jr and I bet the jr was in charge , I miss being able to walk long distances as well , we had a lovely collie x when I was younger and no matter what time I arrived home he insisted on going for a long walk , I miss going for long walks with my dog , love g shepherds but they have really messed with the breed nowadays .

Alfie is so cute, Tony. He looks like a wise old man [emoji16]

We got the first snow of the season today. I love looking at it from inside the warm house. Not a fan of cleaning it up though. Hope everyone is having a good day [emoji4]

We got our first snow today also.

Wish we would get some more snow. We have had a very dry October and November. We live in the 49th driest state in the U.S. so when we say dry it is very dry! We need good snow so we are not rationing water next summer.

Hi all first fall of snow on fri but very light, a bit thicker today but barely an inch deep. Due more overnite so il have to see if its any deeper when i get up.

I miss my last dog Gyp still and its about 10 yrs since he went over the rainbow bridge. He was a border collie cross. Looked exactly like a collie but was only small . He looked like a puppy in size all his 19 n a bit years. People used to say aw look at that puppy n he'd be 6 yrs old or 10 or 14yrs . I thought it quite funny to see their faces when i told them he was whatever age he really was ☺ they would look amazed...

Hope everyone is well and furry family members are well too. ☺ xx💞💝

We also got our first snow of the year today - and Lily got to see it! I was so hoping that she'd be able to see snow at least once more, and she made it. So happy about that. :)

Haven't heard back yet about the job. They said they'd tell the temp agency more and the temp agency hasn't told me anything yet. Hopefully on Monday I'll get some more info.

Ha, Cat i was just getting ready to type out a msg to you, to see if you had any news on the job front. Always a tricky time for job news at the weekend. Things often get left till the monday. Praying you hear on monday, and are all celebrating the good news with you .

So glad that lily has seen snow again hun ☺. Shes a tough cookie your girl. Hope she enjoys a mooch in the snow 💞

Hope you hear good news on the job, Cat. My chiropractor seemed to think my blood clots had something to do with a lack of good nutrition.

Well that's a new one Ron !!! Never heard that before.

Minus 3c but no snow (yet) Streets are dry so we're walking to the Victorian Christmas market in the town square, for an hour, then racing each other back home for an afternoon with the papers/book.

Update on cannabis oil.......Hubby says I'm a lot more up-beat than usual (what does he mean ? I'm always upbeat !!!):dance: but despite a few good days my stomach was really not well, early on.My arthritis does SEEM easier though.

Hi all...our Jaxon is going on his 1st santa steam train ride this afternoon and there is still some snow around. Nothing seemed to fall overnight.
He loves trains so im hoping he really enjoys it. It will be just his mum n dad with him as i couldnt afford to pay for a ticket for me aswell. So iv told them i want lots of pics n videos of him.
Carol i hope u enjoy the market. What is hubby talking about of course your always upbeat hen..glad it seems to be helping and hope your tummy settles down and stays that way

Ron, be VERY careful about the blood clots. My aunt, who has Crohn's, just had a stroke last week. She had a DVT (blood clot in the leg) which traveled to her brain and caused a stroke. Fortunately, she's mostly okay - her personality is unchanged, but she's very weak and off-balance and can only walk with a walker right now. She was chatting online with me yesterday and she told me that having IBD means we have a higher risk of clots and stroke, and she was warning me of the signs to look out for. She didn't have the "classic" stroke symptoms - no droopy face like what you'd typically think of. She said it felt like a really bad migraine, she wanted to wait it out, but then she couldn't get herself to the bathroom (she was trying to crawl there, she had no balance) and my uncle, her husband, insisted on taking her to the ER. She still thought it was just a migraine and wanted to wait it out, but it of course was actually a stroke, so I'm very glad my uncle took her to the hospital!

So if you have any symptoms like that - like a bad migraine, or not able to walk - get yourself to the ER right away.

There are so many things that are trying to get us, if it isn't the scourge in our gut then its something else. Yesterday I almost impaled myself into a tree that fell on the trail in the last storm, but my belt buckle saved me.
I was going up the steep hill from the creek and its the kind of slope where one wants to keep it going to prevent getting stuck. Halfway up was a pointy balsam fir on the left side of the trail, with the sharp tip pointing towards me and I thought I could get around it to my right.

But.. the hood caught the tip of the tree which then came up and through the windshield. I was kneeling on the machine rather than sitting when the tree poked through my snow suit pushing me off the snowmobile and pinning me to it on the ground. Luckily I was going slow, perhaps 10 km per hour.

I laid there with a dull pain and thought the tree had impaled me, but when I pulled it out there was no blood. I opened my suit and saw no damage and went on with the afternoon. At home I could feel the tenderness in the area where my big belt buckle is, and it had saved me from a potentially deadly situation.

This is the first time something like this has happened, and I have been using snowmobiles practically back to the time of their development.
It goes to show that threats can come from all directions.

Wow that was lucky bufford or someone was looking out for you there!!!
I dont know if you believe in the spirit world, devine intervention or whatever else but wow man that was a close shave !!!
So glad that it wasnt any worse, though i guess you will be a bit tender for a while. Take it easy n look after yourself.

That’s awful Bufford ........it’s as if the tree was out to get you ..and stop you in your tracks
Hope you really don’t have any serious invisible injury...and that you will soon be over the shock.Hope you had a good cup of tea by now...it always seems to make things better.
Are you sure you don’t need to go to ER and get checked out.??
Carol...what’s the name of the stuf you are taking.? I think I could use some urgently.
Talking of Snow did you see St Albans is socked in with it..everything at a standstill..same in Luton...I think our share of Ontario snow has lost its sense of direction and ended up over your Way!,,
Cat....still rooting for you jobwise....so sorry to hear of your aunt and hope she will soon recover.
Ron...that’s a horror story re blood clots. Are you taking blood thinners to stop any more from forming.Feel better
Mandy...how much are those train ride tickets....I would buy you a ticket if I was there...
Christmas 🎄 is getting closer...
Winning....

Aw Trysha bless you 💞 it cost £42 ish for the 3 of them n it would have been an extra £16.80 for me . Its not a lot but with christmas coming before payday i needed to be careful not to overspend. Jaxon had a great time n really enjoyed it. Thats all that matters. Il go next year ☺💞💞

Trysha the oil is C.B.D (cannabinoid).I've almost finished one bottle despite being frugal (frugal ....how Christmassy is that ?) Do you need to feel upbeat or is it for the rest of you.? Maybe you wiil need the giant economy size, delivered weekly. No snow here except a hard frost again and the days temp. started at minus 5c but has now climbed to the dizzy high of minus 4c....Mandy,hope your Jaxon had a lovely day.I can just imagine his rosy cheeks and cute smile.

Sandy me darlin' where are you ?????:ghug: :confused2:

love to hear how you get on with the cannabis oil Carol , my hands are killing me at the moment , the rheumatologist I saw this week told me its nothing to do with a flare and most likely Osteoarthritis and the only treatment he offered me was cortisone injections or ixprim which is a mix of Tramadol and paracetamol , I don't really want the injections and I don't really like Tramadol so I might try the oil if you have any success ,
crossing all fingers and toes for you Cat , and Ron hope you get sorted out soon

I appear to be no worse for wear, yesterday I went for a good ski up the beaver pond trail and through the bush to the halfway point. I'm a bit tender where the buckle took the brunt of the force. Trysha, you maybe right that the tree was trying to get me and why not, after living a whole life time heating with wood, and trying to keep my home from being overtaken by the forest.
Going in for a routine doctor's visit and will explain my adventure to her. I have a small bruising on my leg and left arm, but that is about it, appetite is good. Maybe it even knocked/scared old Crohn's back a bit.

I have to fix the cracked windshield, and it will add character to that old sled. I am going to bring in the tree that tried to get me, it still has a ball of cloth on the pointy end where it tore through my suit.

Bufford glad you seem to have got no worse than the tenderness. Get that tree burnt on the fire. It deserves nothing less !!

Doug glad Sandy is getting some relax time . I bet she is having lots of cuddles with Casper 🐶

Love to all you folks 💞💞💝💝

Thanks for the info Carol........think I’ll give it a miss ......be just my luck to get a reaction or worse....I had a near death experience with anaphylactic shock due to two antibiotics and spent a week in hospital and a month with interesting rashes.
Buford ....good you are recovering...I still think the tree was out to get you...watch what you do with it...
Mandy...you are a very kind person....I expect the little one had a whale of a time...
Ron...hope you are feeling better...even just a little bit
Sandy...enjoy your new family addition...I would really love a little dog....can’t be done ..sigh...
So it seems I drew the short straw with referral to a nephrologist who does not look very promising...had an incomplete name for me on the letter.and the lab requisition mailed to me was not properly filled in.
Sloppy paperwork does not fill me with confidence neither does the notation of 30minutes
for consult.
Physicians should be prepared to do what it takes and not impose time constraints on a first visit.
After all some patients may not require as much time as others.
Five minutes with this individual will suffice for me...in fact I’m thinking of cancelling it.
They get well paid for their time
The snow has arrived with a vengeance and has not stopped all day and now all night...
There will be plenty of snowmen in the neighbourhood tomorrow.
Winning.....

Trysha.....don't forget your gloves when you're building snowmen and a warming cup of hot chocolate for afters. Not sure if I will continue with the magic oil. We're always looking for something to make us feel better and I'm on plenty supplements as it is.I might even stop some of them when the bottles are empty, just to see if there's a difference.

Sandy,glad you're OK,thankyou Doug for the update.

Saw the doctor yesterday and she didn't find anything wrong, just a bit of tenderness on the surface. Not sure yet what to do with that tree. I was going to put the business end up on the wall in my shop. Maybe bad luck? I wouldn't want to have a shop accident. Perhaps just leave it as a memento at the side of the trail.

That's good news Buff.,as to what to do with the offending tree,do you really need a reminder ? It was an accident and I'm sure the tree is very contrite.Take care though,it was a warning that nature takes no prisoners.....:yfrown:

Chris...you're awfully quiet.I hope all's well with you.:thumleft:

Wouldn’t trust that tree as far as I could throw it Buford......it’s angling to get its feet inside your door......don’t do it...best leave it where it is.... be safe..
Carol.....I don’t feel like making snowmen at all.....the wind will freeze me to an ice maiden.or worse....

I got the job! It's the temp job - I'll be interviewing for the permanent position next week. Both positions are at the stool sample place, which was my #1 choice. I'm really excited that I get to work there! Not sure exactly when I'll start - I told them I'm available to start at any time, and they'd really like me to start tomorrow, but the temp agency and the stool sample place have to do some paperwork first. So hopefully later this week or Monday I'll start work. I probably won't be on the forum a whole lot once I start work, but I'll check in with you guys when I can.

(The permanent job wouldn't start until late January, so the temp job is just to tide me over until I - presumably - start the permanent position. Will know more about that next week.)

Thats brilliant news Cat .
Hope its all you hope and you really enjoy it ☺

Love and hugs to all 💞💝

Great news Cat.Does this mean family and friends will get a sample kit for birthdays and Christmas ? hahaha.I keep meaning to ask how your Gran's doing ? and of course let's hope Lily does her thing and sees Christmas and the New Year.

Thanks, guys! Carol, my understanding is that the stool test has to be ordered by a physician and is paid for through insurance, so I highly doubt that I can give them away as stocking stuffers. :p A girl can dream though! Ha ha

As for my grandma, I went to visit her a few weeks ago. She's about the same. Still can't remember a thing and has erratic mood swings, but she was mostly in a good mood when I visited her. Fortunately, she still knows that we're her people, but all the details are gone - she doesn't remember anyone's name or how we're related to her, etc. She also sometimes seems to regress back to her youth and forgets that people have died. At one point over the summer, I visited her and she was telling me that she was trying to plan a visit "home" - when I asked her what she meant by "home", she said she wanted to go to her childhood home to visit her parents. That was particularly distressing to me - my grandma was age 19 when both of her parents died in 1952, so that's the sort of thing she should still be able to remember. Her childhood home is actually still there - she described it's location and description for me (a house with a large windowed porch on top of the hill across from the school - and when I drove up the hill by the school, sure enough, I saw the house, and later found a photo of my grandma as a girl in front of that house with the porch, so it's definitely the right house and it's sort of amazing that it's still there, that house has to be about 90 years old at least). But for her to think that her parents are still alive, when they died 65 years ago - that's just extremely sad to me.

Lily's also about the same. She's currently resting. Still enjoying lots of treats. Tomorrow is the 7th anniversary of when we got her, so I'm going to bake her a dog-friendly cake to celebrate. And then Monday will be 5 months since her surgery, so she'll have survived 2 months beyond her expected expiration date.

Happy doggy anniversary Cat n lily. 🐶🐾🐾. Hope lily enjoys the cake and keeps defying the diagonis time scale 💞💝

Aw bless your gran.. strange what the mind remembers and forgets. Dementia is an odd creature !!! Its so hard for those around the sufferer . 💝

How're you doing Madhu ?
Hi Carol. I'm doing good [emoji4] nausea and vomiting are here now and those are not fun! But I had my first OB GYN appointment yesterday and it went really well. We saw the baby on the ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. We just loved it [emoji4]

Ah,that's lovely Madhu.Not the sickness,the scan.:medal1:

I'll bet all your families are thrilled to bits.Sip some ginger tea or nibble ginger biscuits,it might help the nausea, but I expect you're getting plenty of advice.
Keep well, and your hubby of course.:rosette1:

I'm going to take the advice of leaving the tree where it is. I did something similar 25 years ago when I broke a ski, I nailed it to a tree where it happened and it is still there today.
Yesterday I did well by skiing the entire main section of the trail to the little lake. Were off to a good start with winter this season.

Glad you got to see the baby.

Aww Madhu ...its so lovely to see and hear a baby for the first time. Glad all is going well. ☺💞💝

Bufford watch out for rogue trees and keep safe.💕

When things are going well enjoy it for all its worth, glad to hear that the baby is well Madhu. I am going for another good long ski after having skied the entire length yesterday. 6 kms of clean air and wilderness does wonders.

Hi, everyone! It's nice to see all of you around that have been as of late. That tree incident sounded scary! Many years ago, my brother somehow drove a snowmobile up a tree that was leaning halfway over, and brother and machine had to be rescued. thankfully, neither the worse for wear. (I still haven't ever been on a snowmobile.) Madhu, do you want to know the sex of your baby when they are able to tell what it is? Do you have a preference? Carol, the person who does my massages was going to bring a hemp based CBD oil for my last massage with supposedly no THC (the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana), said that because of where it came from and the fact that it had no THC it was legal here. I think since she didn't say anything about it being the hemp oil when she was here (she makes "house calls" ☺), it was prob the regular massage oil she used. Thinking about it, I don't know how it could be legal here since not even medical MJ is legal in these parts. But that sure was a nice massage, hmmmm 🤔
Casper is starting to fit in nicely, although his mischievous side is starting to come out. He is a very timid dog and jumped at everything when we first got him. (Well, he still does some.) He was either abused or not socialized with people (I think he came from a puppy mill originally from what the shelter said, then had a failed adoption because he needed more attention.) He is just starting to learn what is appropriate to chew on, and can be a little mischievous. If a clothes hanger is within reach, he likes to take them from room to room as a chew toy. All papers within his reach are fair game also. He also likes to tug at clean clothes on the bed that I am sorting, folding and hanging. Or my pant legs as I walk down the hall. It's hard to get mad at him, but I have to be firm or he will be a little terror, literally. But who can't love a little six or seven pound monster that likes to snuggle next to you, when at first he was afraid to come even near us? The first several days, most of the time his head was down and tail tucked between his legs, except when he was outside running in our backyard. I don't think he'd ever been allowed to run free anywhere before, and that first run we could tell it was pure ecstacy on his little crooked mug to run from one side of the yard to the other. He's still timid, and a pain in the patootie at times, a tiny terror, but so loveable.
Cat, I'm glad Lily got to see snow again and seems to be doing so well. Ron, how are the legs? And how are the rest of you?

Lovely to see you back Sandy.Enjoyed the update on Casper and had a giggle.I agree to your being firm with him,and patient. He needs to know his place, but a house is not a home without a dog / cat.I bet you've had a laugh in between the frustration though.

Re the cannabis oil...it doesn't have the element that makes you high (alas) but it can be used for anxiety as well as pain and inflammation. All drugs are banned in the UK.so for the gov. to sanction it,it must be ok.I have noticed that the very bad arthritis pain in the knuckle of my right index finger has abated somewhat and my guts are a bit easier (mostly). My back pain is still there though and that's the one I would like to be rid of,some hope after six years.Anyway, must dash.I only came on to send an e.mail and saw you were here. Why are you not snuggled up in bed ? Has Casper pulled the bed clothes off ? back later.

Sandy, I went to the hospital yesterday for an ultrasound. The pain and swelling has returned but they didn't find any new blood clots. My phone was dying so my wife and son tried to call the hospital to get an uprate on me but the hospital didn't have a record of me being there.

Thanks everyone. Hey Sandy, good to see you back. We have a blood test in a month to check for Down's syndrome. The same test will also reveal gender. Initially we wanted to not know about it and have it as a surprise at the very end. Now as the pregnancy progresses, we are very curious and I don't know if we will be able to decline knowing it. Should decide in a month [emoji4]

Sandy, there's nothing like having a loving pet to make a home, their unconditional love and warmth go a long ways for wellness. I have a large orange cat that fills my heart. If you ever ride a snowmobile you will want to buy one afterwards they are a lot of fun as well as being an important tool for me to get around and to move supplies as I have a long driveway that I don't plow nor could I due to length and cost. Besides mother nature happens to do all the shoveling in spring, leaving me with plenty of time to go cross country skiing in the back country. I hope to go again and do the whole trail later today.

Oh Ron! Your poor leg and your poor family! Hopefully your leg will just settle down now, and obviously you've connected back with wife and son. Are you still in the hospital or did they just do the ultrasound as an outpatient procedure or ER visit? Did they find the cause of the swelling? Did they put you on water pills or give any suggestions how to keep the swelling down? I know you have mild cerebral palsy which makes it harder to move, but even stretching that leg occasionally will help some from clots forming in the future.

Bufford, you are right all the way around re pets, snowmobiles, etc. I love cats also, but we had to give 3 of 4 cats away when I developed asthma years ago, the fourth stayed with us only because when trying to give the cats away, he would disappear when people came to look at them. We discovered after the fact that he would hide in the floor joists above an unfinished basement, smart puddy tat. My first bad asthma attack was while shoveling the driveway LOL. Our little driveway now (a different one) is only about 20 feet long, so we don't have the same problem you do. Good ol' Suburbia. Have fun skiing!

I am home. The hematologist said to keep moving. He also said to eat red meat and spinach once a week to improve my iron. Don't know the reason for the swelling.

Ron glad you are back home...gee what a time of it you are having old chum. Strange they cant find the cause of the swelling. The fact they they said there was no record of your being at the hospital is shamefull....to add to that they then cant tell you what is wrong with your leg...
I hope that your leg settles and you get some answers on its cause soon.💕

Hi to everyone, big hugs n loves to all 💞💝💕

Not a good start to the day......too many bathroom trips, pain and dry retches. And it's raining.I was in all day yesterday, so I must get out for some air today, even if it's a walk 'round the park over the road.I usually pull myself together by late morning and maybe the rain will stop.It hasn't been bike weather this week and I'm in need of some exercise.....
