hey all , hope everyone is staying safe , the world is gone mad , i would say we are close to a total lockdown here in Ireland , the panic buying has slowed a good bit , i think people had no more space in the cupboards for any more , we did stock up a little on dry goods so if the shops do run low we are good for a few weeks , but i think people will get fed up of rice , beans and pasta fairly quickly though ,
hope everyone stays safe for the next few weeks and months ahead , hugs (from a distance) from a dreary Cobh in Ireland , and remember its still a wonderfull world ,

Hello all, I went grocery shopping last week- not a wise move the people were like mice on crack - frightening. I can honestly say I haven't ever experienced anything that stressful in my life to this point and not sure that I wanted to do it again. There were people pulling a grocery cart and pulling one that were loaded to overflowing and the shelves were empty in some sections of the store. I bought what I absolutely needed to last a week and got out before I did something foolish and embarrassed myself and yelled at everyone to get grip. Everyone was saying that it had calmed down with some stores limiting the number of people allowed in the stores at a time, making people line up outside, taking numbers, hiring security and limiting the numbers of items that can be purchased - yep they lied - still like mice on crack - I have decided that i really don't require food for the next while and what I have in the house will have to last - if I run out I will be forced to take my 92 year old mother that is in end stages alzheimers to the store and make her go in CAUSE I'M NOT GOING BACK IN THERE WITH THOSE FLAMING LUNATICS. My best friend is here from Alberta, she is staying until August when she becomes a Grandmother for the first time and she says she isn't going either. Couple of chickens we are - but I do have 2 pkgs of toilet paper from before the virus outbreak. Crohn's finally came in handy for something - though I'm not sure why because my understanding is that you don't get dh with this virus. MICE ON CRACK I tell you. Okay - done ranting. Take very good care of yourselves please - shelter in place as they say and be well. Winning

Same over here girls.Libraries, pubs, clubs, gyms, theatres and restaraunts and café closed 'til further notice, which means all available public toilets.Shops are maniacle, well not the shops, the shoppers...…...stay safe friends.hugs.

Still having a struggle keeping head above water......never give up...never give in...
I suspect some of the symptoms may be due to high dose Prednisone....will be glad when its reduced.
Doctors are following patients by phone here....two lined up for next week.....dont see what they an do though
Just have to tough it out.
Can hardly walk across the room....legs dont hold up.....dont want to stay in bed ...makes matters worse.
Any useful suggestions would be most 🙏 welcome
Never in my life have I ever heard of this giant cell arteritis....sure is a beast....but
Winning.....

Hi all, im doing ok. Just been trying to keep an eye on what the hell is happening next. Things change almost hourly at the mo.
I was off work last week due to holiday due days. Spent as much at home as possible inbetween having to go for supplies most days, as i could not do a full weekly shop at once due to the shortages. I hope people start to calm down on the shopping lark, or half of us will starve to death if the virus don't get us 1st.
People are totally over reacting and thus then causing the exact problem they were trying to avoid...SHORTAGE OF PRODUCTS!!! Common sense has exited the building big style🤪🤪
Trysha hope you feel better really soon hun💕
Everyone please please keep as safe and well as possible.
My work is still open as of yesterday, they are delivering food stuffs from our deli dept and the rest of the garden centre for our customers to help in these hard times. No delivery charge either. We hope it helps our most vulnerable customers, and those self isolating or social distancing. So iv turned into a personal shopper for the time being.
Take care everyone . Hugs of the virtual kind.💋💞💝

Me too.Hubby went for the daily newspaper and had the sense to pick up the last pack on the shelf.I was amazed and very grateful. You'd have thought I'd won the lottery. After planning to have an 8am shop today I spent last night dreaming I was on Supermarket Sweep. All went better than I expected. BUT queus at the docs and chemists were ridiculous as only allowing 2 people in at a time. But the Dunkirk spirit got us through....apart from those waiting for their daily Methodone and they got short shrift...cheeky monkeys...

It is like winning the lottery to get loo roll 🙄 glad u have acquired some good old Les👏🙂.
Keep well the both of you
💕💋
Well our holiday has gone, for the want of a better phrase 'tits up' . Flying with 2 different airlines could prove awkward re refunds/vouchers as nxt booking maybe with different airline/s altogether, oh deary me . Oh well will have to wait n see..
Least we weren't stranded somewhere 😯

Thought I would check in. Like most of the world, the states have been closing businesses where people congregate, like restaurants, theaters, etc. Grocery stores are open though. I have not seen toilet paper in a store for 2 weeks. Luckily we have a small supply. People buy the stuff as soon as it lands on the store shelves. The store is limiting shoppers to 1 package each and the still can't keep it in stock. Utah had its first death from the coronavirus yesterday. It was a man above 60 years old from our own county. Very sad. In the midst of all this, we had a earthquake! 5.7 on the richter scale. I thought the house was coming down, it lasted so long. We have had hundreds of aftershocks, none as strong as the main shock. Most aftershocks are very minor shaking. It has been a scary time here.

On Friday I had a EGD performed. It was in response to my recent flare. The EGD found 2 healing ulcers in my stomach. Also, there is a finding of possible Barrett's Esophagus. That is a pre cancerous condition, caused by stomach acid entering the base of the esophagus. We are waiting for the biopsies to be returned, but my G.I. is sure it is Barrett's. I am on prescription strength Omeprazole to control the stomach acids. I am now scheduled for a EGD every 2 years to observe the Barrett's.

Sandy asked me to say HI and let you know she is doing well. She is scared about the coronavirus because of her health history, but doing OK otherwise.

So sorry regarding your hols Mandy but it was on the cards eh? (I don't mean the credit cards)...Maybe your work place will close down too due to the present lock down ? Les has been told to self isolate for 3mnths due to his cancer problems. He is not a happy bunny but we can drive to the coast with a flask of coffee and stare longingly out of the window for half an hour.I might even get all those books read that I've been hoarding.....

Well I was told last nite that I'm not working for at least 3 weeks, but I'm sure it will be longer.
Made use of the time off today n cleaned my bedroom n bathroom windows and washed the curtains. Will chose another room tomorrow n do the same. Clean clean clean me thinks. Its something to do.
Take care everyone. Big hugs 💖💝

Just been to my front door to join in with the 'clap to show support to our key/frontline workers ' I saw it was happening at 8pm this evening on the news this morning.
A big thank you to all of our key workers from our family to yours 💕💞💖👏👏👏

Doing the Coronadodge and stepping into the road while passing someone I can't help feeling rude. And I don't want to smile in case they think I'm being sarcastic...…..Giving up drinking for three months.....sorry,bad punctuation,Giving up-----,drinking for three months

I'm trying to keep my distance but some people are not, keep getting to close to me n I have to move away. Idiots 😡 . Wish I could get a full shop at 1 time but can't as half of the stuff is not there so keep having to go back for more. Trying to keep indoors but proving darn hard.

Take care n keep well everyone 💕💞

Mandy,go as early as you can.I have gut trouble every morning 'til lunch,so I got up at 5-30am on Monday and with a couple of Loperamide for support was able to get to Morrisons for 8am.Tesco are letting the old and decrepit in on Mon,Wed,and Fri 9am til 10 so stop the hair colouring and get your trolley loaded up.I'm only going once a week or I might murder somebody..

Today I received the biopsie results from my EGD last week. It is confirmed that I have Barrett's Esophagus. In fact, there has been some movement towards it becoming cancer. It is not cancer yet, but I will have to undergo 3 different ablation therapies in the next few months. They basically burn off the precancerous cells in the esophagus. I am glad this has been discovered this early, and I believe I will be fine, but I am scared by this.

Sending positive thoughts your way Doug, sorry that you have to go through this. Stay safe everyone. I have boycotted shopping - told everyone here to eat what I cook or starve. Working so far, I'm sure soon I will have an uprising on my hands and have to go out and face the lunacy again. They have asked everyone in BC to stop their spring cleaning as they are unable to handle the amount of refuse and recycling that they are getting and this would be in direct correlation to everyone staying home. So if I can't clean, won't shop, I guess I'll have to read and crochet.

Wishing you the best of luck Doug, hope they can keep it under control. 💝💕
Hey Grumpy....I'm spring cleaning but so far have not had to throw out anything other than my normal rubbish. Our rubbish centres are closed currently so anything of that nature I'm sorting and keeping on 1 side . I will then have to take it later in stages when things get back to normal 🤞. This will result in me having a cluttered corner but it will be a clean one🙂

Love n hugs to you all.
Keep well n stay safe 💞💕💝

Well maybe some people will be using loo roll as streamers🎉🎉.....you know those that brought them all 🙄!!!!
Think I will start to stock pile for the next armageddon, once this 1 is over..just need to build me a bunker to store it all in 😃😃

Thinking of you all
Look after your selves
Hugs 💞💖💕

Looks like the Garden Centres could be up the creek Mandy...…

This must be a terrible time to be a burglar.Doing it from home's not an option, but neither is going out to work because everyone's in all the time. Maybe one silver lining of this is will be some of them persuing other avenues ? (As in new carreers, not just nicking stuff from other Avenues)

Thanks for the cheery news there Carol 🙂 they(,my firm) are doing food deliveries for people who phone in with their orders. We have bread, milk, meats, cheese, pies a whole gamut of foodstuffs. Hoping that will help them keep going. Running on skeleton staff just to take n deliver the orders. Fingers crossed it helps them through n I have a job to go back to.
Hope to find you and Les are ok 💞💕xx

Probably both ;)😉
It gives you something to do though twice a day...putting it on n taking it off 😃 . If you want to keep really busy put on lipstick too💋😃

Love to all 💕💞

I'm still alive. I think already had, "The Rona." I cannot be sure because testing is very limited here locally. We have around 100 cases in my region with roughly 35% recovered. I hope you all the very best and... I'm back! Love and hugs to all. I pray for you all. I understand that some of you may have lost a loved one, and for that I feel very, very sorry.

Hey Chris so good to see you 🙂. Even more glad that if you have had it you have got through it 👍
Testing over here has been practically nonexistent in general 😥. I have been having cold like symptoms but I can't be sure it's not Corona. Have been isolating as much as possible just incase. Not being able to work coz of lockdown is good(needed a good rest)but not being able to enjoy the time off is driving me mental 🤪 though it is giving me chance to get jobs done I don't normally have time to do 🙂. Keep well and keep safe buddy. 💞💕 hugs n loves 🌈

Relieved to see you back Chris, please stay...…..Why is my husbands new hobby endlessly asking questions ? If he sees someone out of the window he demands that I tell him who they are and where they're going. To clarify once and for all; I DO NOT HAVE THIS INFORMATION !!!!!

Maybe you should post notes through your neighbour's doors Carol, asking them to carry a placard with said info on and to hold it up as they pass by. Might give your ears a breather ;).

It does seem to help reduce the spread..though it does create a queue at the supermarket that goes on forever, which though I understand that, I do find it very annoying to have to wait for up to an hour to get in the store just to buy 1 bottle of milk. So I have decided that if at all possible I will go around 7pm when it's so much quieter and most people are done for the day 🙂💕

My weekly shop tomorrow so will put the alarm on for 6ish...…….
How is it that when watching telly,a scene of people socialising outside in groups Is already as weird as old shows where characters smoke in pubs ?

Mmm yup it does seem strange 🤔
Oh such a pain doing shopping right now...I hate it at the best of times . I like to be in and out asap, so to be waiting to even get in the store is a nightmare. I know it has to be.. but it still grinds my gears 😔

I'm frustrated as well. Shopping is like a nightmare... Pinch myself... NOPE! I'm on the mend though and I'm actually a little scared to be honest. I'm not scared of much besides the hospital and nasty spiders. I hope you are all keeping well. Motorcycle season is very near and that should lift my spirits.

One day at a time. Cheers!

It's a very scary time Chris, like you I don't scare easy but I am currently pretty scared. It is a very very nasty virus and we can only do as guided and pray it works. 🙏💕

Shopping was a breeze, probably because of the time.Still lots in the queue but it moved quickly. It seems to have calmed down a bit. There were plenty of loo rolls which I ignored as I have enough for now...…..I have discovered that if you keep aa glass of wine / beer in each hand you can't accidently touch your face
:D

Sandy and I are going to "social distance" ourselves tomorrow by taking the kayaks out on Mantua Reservoir. I really need a day on the water. When fishing we are a lot more than 6 feet away from other people, so I have no problem with doing this during the pandemic.

14c here today and temps supposed to rise as the week nears the Easter weekend hols.I wonder how many idiots will spew forth from
confinement into the great outdoors ?.Good Friday here is a traditional Fish & Chip day and queues can be ridiculous.(I cook our own)
But all outlets down on the quay are closed, both fresh and cooked venues, and there will be a lot of people who don't live in the area and have a run to the coast at this time of year, who won't realise it's part of the lock down.we will have a walk down and look on in amazement as we always do......from a safe distance of course,as we always do.

I will be hopefully spending the nice weather in the garden🌳🌻🌺🌷, Niall and I have been having a tidy in the garden today as it was pretty warm n sunny today. Clearing the winter debris and cleaning the furniture. Funny how when it's clear n tidy it looks twice as big 😃
Love n hugs 💝💞

I worked on the cleaning end of things around here too. I then took my bike out for a test ride with the new tires. All went fine. No bugs in my teeth. :)
I hope you're all doing as well as can be. I also hope Boris and his wife recover swiftly. Stay safe all... :) Cheers!

Your garden sounds very inviting Mandy
Still enduring the prednisone side effects and gradually easing down the dosage.
The specialist wants to discontue it and start using methotrexate....not happy about that since it can bring other problems
Wish the whole giant cell arteritis would disappear into thin air......but then 🐖 🐷 pigs might fly...
We are all in lockdown same as you but can go out infrequently 6 ft apart in lineups for needed shopping, medical appointments ...etc
The physiotherapist comes to my apartment for physio and acupuncture.....always feel better after a session.
No hairdressers...all closed down....hard....I usually get hair styling once weekly...no good at doing it myself.
Walking is hazardous since my legs and arms are weak....have to use a walker...its handy to lean on at times.
Headaches are the worst but improve for a couple of days after acupuncture.
Take care everyone be safe be strong

You can only tell if a bikers happy if he/she has bugs on there teeth

Trysha it's time you got a break gal...I really hope you do and soon. My garden is not very inviting at the moment but hopefully after it's make over during this spring/summer it will be very inviting. Just wish I had the money to get all the stuff needed to do it now..though getting the supplies is a problem too at the moment 😔.

Keep well everyone please. Big hugs and loves 💕💞🌈

I have a full face shield... ;) Last year it prevented a rock from hitting my face at 80 KPH. I was still smiling though, Carol. I love to ride any kind of two wheeled contraption. Let the good times roll.. At least we can still have a bit of fun eh?. :) My best to all of you. Cheers!

Hey Shanen 🙂..glad to see you are ok. Too many people over here are flouting the rules, apparently they don't apply to them for some reason!!!
Fine go for a daily walk it's allowed, but many are gathering in large groups in public places , also having friends n family round to get togethers in their gardens. The lockdown will go on even longer if they carry on, as the virus will not be contained 🤬...idiots!!!!

Take care n keep safe everyone 💝💞💕🕊🌈

Hi all.
Got some new fence panels in the garden 🙂.
Going to fix some solar lights to it today. Got lots of wood to burn as we can't take it to the tip at the moment.
So watch out for the smoke signals 😃
Keep safe and well 💞🌈🕊

A little better today thanks Carol.....lovely sunshine helps....
Feet still a bit wobbly
Tomorrow is physiotherapy and acupuncture day....the physio will come to my place since i cant get out.
People are getting a bit squirrelly closed up in their 🏠
Its no different for me I am used to being alone and sometimes using the time wisely.
Its hard when no visitors are allowed.
Nobody can sneak in with all the 🎥 📸 cameras........including the elevators.....its a big building..
Winning

Aw bless her, Emma is so cute Shanen, you must be so proud👼 🙂
I too am some what introverted, but this is hard because it is forced lockdown, its not the same as being able to go about your business if you want to, but choose not to . That's the difference, lack of choice/control of what you want to do. Still it won't be for ever 🌈💞💞🕊

Love n hugs to you all 💝💞💕🌈🕊

Gorgeous little thing Shanen,I bet you're glad they didn't name her Corona though.I hope her mom is doing well,it must have been such a worry.I also, like my own company, but my hubby insists that we make an effort to do something each day, even though he's supposed to do a 12wk isolation due to health probs. We had a laugh today. We went for a bike ride and on the way home decided to stop at the park over the road for 5mins to listen to the birds. There was a lady sitting on a bench throwing a ball for her dog. When she saw us she stood up and ran onto the field,so we took her seat. She started laughing and said "I thought you were police and I was going to get a telling off"
As part of the new lockdown laws, you're not supposed to sit and rest during your exercise hour.We were on black bikes and wearing Hi-Vis jackets so she thought she was in trouble.

Hi all 🙂
All ok my end...hope you are all okay.
Cleared a load of cr*p from my garden now. All we need now is the decking and astroturf...oh and the money to pay for them😀
Enjoying the lovely warm weather we are blessed with at the moment 🌞🌡
At least I look like I have been on holiday, tan coming along nicely, should in Corfu at the moment.

Keep well and safe everyone 💕💞💕

When I logged on I noticed a headline that says we're to continue with social distancing for a year but children back to school end of June !!!
How's that going to work ?.....Enjoy your garden and don't forget the sun block...I mean every one knows you haven't been off on your jollies.
