Life is a very precious thing, as unfortunately many many people are finding out right now. So many lives lost due to this virus. We can try to change people's attitudes towards others and hopefully will, because we are all equal.
This virus though is totally indiscriminate and has and will kill many more people. If we don't keep our distance at the moment. πŸ•ŠπŸŒˆπŸ’ž

I think what happened that caused all this rioting is absolutely horrible, but lives being lost over it and all the millions of dollars of property damage is not right either (yes, lives have been lost in the rioting and not just from the virus, multiple assaults at various locations in US). On top of that, I've seen some almost identical videos of what happened to that poor man done to white people also, one where the white man had called the police because he was in fear and they ended up restraining him (gasp!) because he had mental health issues (and they knew it); I think SOME police have gone power hungry and have lost their sense of humanity. However, I think that's the minority of police officers, but glad to see attention brought to it like I'm glad to see attention brought to discrimination in ANY form. You're right Mandy, all lives matter! I'm just disgusted with this world right now.
Ok, rant over.
Doug and I are getting ready to go camping :)and to our second kayak fishing tournament of the year. We sure love the group of people associated with these tourneys, and glad Utah's virus situation isn't as bad as most of the country so we can get together in groups of up to fifty (tho not advised for those of us with health concerns but we're doing it anyway.) If it were inside and closer contact we wouldn't, but we feel fairly safe outside and most of the time are well distanced from anyone. We'll wear equivalent of face masks also. It should be fun even tho we never win.😜

I agree Sandy.. it happens to all races, colours & creeds sadly!!...it should not be happening to anyone 🀬
Surely this virus should be making us better people, teaching us that life is precious and the need to look after each other is greater than ever. Peace and love should be a priority always and even more so moving forward from this. I pray for a better world all round. πŸ™πŸ•ŠπŸŒˆπŸ’ž
Hope you and Doug have a fabulous time and stay safe . Hope the fishing goes well and the fish play nicely πŸ™‚πŸ’•πŸ’‹

I caught a medium small cut throat trout the other day Chris, practicing my fishing, here's what he looked like:
(I personally like trout better than most Lake fish around here fish for both catching and eating. We do catch and release for the most part, however, and tho I measured this one, he was not for any tournament and I threw him back to live another day. All tournament fish have to be released.)

Your right Chris....usually those of us who are not in the position of office/government. They don't seem to do intelligence, common sense or practicality. But then being of the privileged few, I guess they had never needed to use any of the above.
I know I could do a better job of it with my hands tied behind my back, blindfolded and earplugs in. πŸ™‚πŸ•ŠπŸ’•

Cheers Chris...though I would lay bets most of us "Normal folks" could do a better job of it. We have to survive on a pittance of either wages or benefits. It makes us very savvy and very capable of finding a way of getting the most/best out of a situation. So I'm guessing most of us would have made the decision to lockdown way before the governments did, thus saving many lives. Also our economy would be in far better shape, getting the most out of our money is a priority to us, so I think we would make much better use of the money the governments waste. πŸ™‚πŸ•ŠπŸ’•πŸ’‹

I dont think here in Ireland we need to worry about being comfortable in the heat as the cooling effect of the summer rain is only round the corner every day , hope everyone is doing well , from a showery and windy Ireland ,

Tony I feel your pain we are waiting on a mini digger 😯. So yup I will be in the same boat!!!. Hope the path n patio look good even if the rest is a quagmire at the moment. Aw Alfie is so darn cute πŸ•πŸΆπŸ’•

Stay safe everyone and keep well πŸ•ŠπŸŒˆπŸ’žπŸ’‹πŸ’‹

The quagmire was a few months ago Mandy , it really should be redone completely but to be honest we're letting the weeds fill in the blank spots so it looks crappy but lots of bees and butterflies 😊

Ah right, go weeds then 😁😁
We are completely redoing our garden and our neighbours for her. We are upcycling her flags and decking for our garden. So with all the stuff from there our own stuff we are again upcycling, our garden looks like an explosion in a builders yard. We need to clear it out so the digger can get in, then we can get the different levels done and then make it pretty 🀞

Just a little something to cheer you up...….I.B.D ers have a higher chance of having / getting dementia. Not sure of the percentage although I think it was 5%......my hubby asked if I thought I had it and I said no, then he asked "how do you know you haven't"? I told him that one of us has to have a clear head and it's definitely not him !!!

The weather was miserable near us so we drove about 200km ( 160 miles )for more dull weather but the scenery was way nicer ,we even brought Alfie who barfed about half way there πŸ˜“
Hahaha is that all ? One of our GSDs,Kassie, had diarrhea coming down the motorway from Scotland. We had Brooke and Teala in the back of the Volvo with her and they were all trying to get through the dog guard to the front. I can still smell it. Happy days but not one of the better ones.

I'm still trying to decide what I want all of you to buy me for my prize. A chalet in the Swiss alps? No, I don't ski. A yacht? No, I like my kayak. 😜 :ROFLMAO:πŸ˜‚
Hmmm.πŸ€”
I know! I want all of you to run my neighbor out of town who has trapped our cat twice and threatened (no question, they would do it!) to ship him to the animal shelter next time he goes in their yard. (They bait him with canned cat food which he doesn't get at home. We'd have to pay a fee to get him out.) Our poor puddy tat cries and yowls half of his awake hours and has been acting out now that we're forcing him to be an indoor only cat. This has been going on for a few weeks. Sigh. A zillion other cats wander around the neighborhood but ours is the only one that succumbs to the canned temptations.
Then the second part of that prize I want a super duper cook/maid. Sometimes I'll still cook, but not today. πŸ˜πŸ™‚

Well !!!that's out of order and unfair your cat is targeted 🀬. Chris has made a good shout re the local animal authority.
Maybe the other cats get canned/wet food at home so aren't as tempted??
Can you maybe give you puddy tat 🐱some, to reduce the temptation of the food in your neighbour's yard. πŸ™‚πŸ’žπŸ•Š

Glad to find the regular page again...
Hi Everyone...
It has been longer than I realised since being here last....and at first I did not remember the site name or how
to pick up from where I left off.......
Giant cell got the better of me for some time but now it seems I may be on the mend.
Apparently there are no cures just support measures.
I did find that acupuncture helped the all over pains for a few days at a time..
So busy fighting it ...couldnt do anything else....just about kept my head above water.
Some of the doctors just checked by ☎️ telephone but the main specialist checks me in the office
Bloodwork is constant as are other investigations ..radiological etc...
It is strange going intao a huge building and being the only one there besides my doctor behind a locked door.
The physiotherapist acupuncturist came to my apartment .. still does....to continue treatments.
He is the only one who had something positive to offer and which has helped.
But now I feel on the mend and trying to pick up the shreds of life ...
Cheers!!
Trysha

Thanks Carol and Mandy.
Still winding my way through the forum.....I have forgotten so much but its gradually returning.
Life stood still for a while but has now returned I think.
For a while I was unable to see properly but its improving although in need of a little attentionfrom the eye doctor....delayed buy covid........
Up till now I have not been able to go out too far but things are getting better
My head felt like it had a ton weight on it but that feeling abruptly left just over a week ago and i am now much improved.
Good to see you all again

Hey Trysha...by God girl you are 1 extremely tough cookie!!. I'm asking God,the universe and even the fairies to give you a break for a long while. You sure deserve one hunni.πŸ’žπŸ•ŠπŸŒˆπŸ’‹.

Chris...you are lucky bikes are quicker than bearsπŸ›΅πŸ» and they weren't particularly hungry πŸ˜‰πŸ•ŠπŸ’ž

My hair is appalling !!! I've always been very fussy with it and I've decided I'm desperate for a cut.I made an apt.last week for Aug 11th but I've decided I really can't wait that long.Of course he's closed on Mondays but I'll be on the blower at 9am tomorrow..
Have you managed to get yours done Trysha or is that way down your list of things to do ?

Carol.. my hair looks like an explosion in a cornfield, my sister cuts mine so in theory not an issue, but neither her or myself can be bothered to do it 😯. It will have to be done soon, as I should be back to work after being on furlough in August. Can't subject the customers to this mopπŸ˜πŸ’ž

Tony, how I would love to walk on that little beach with my dear departed dogs...….life just has'nt been the same without them.I had 50 glorious years of fun love and enjoyable beach, woodland and hill walks...….Little Blackie (bike) has been a godsend mind you and hubby is well trained NOT !!!...……..Hairdressers on Saturday wahaaaay.

Hi folks. Just thought I'd say Hi. I have my second ablation therapy EGD scheduled for the end of the month. Not looking forward to it. I was suppose to have it in June, but the endoscopy center screwed up and did not tell me I needed a Covid test until it was too late to get the results back before the treatment. So I had to reschedule 6 weeks further out. I am not looking forward to this. The first treatment I had vomiting episodes for a whole week after. Had to be put on a med to reduce that vomiting. I also just could not eat for a week.

Sandy is doing pretty well. We are going on a kayaking/camping trip leaving today and will be gone until Sunday. I am excited for this. Hope everyone is doing well.

On 24th of July masks will be mandatory in shops !!! why not months ago ? Police are not happy as it's sure to cause more than a few arguments between shop staff and some clever-dick customers. Our police are 20,000+ men down since Torys took over. also a lot of folk are not using masks properly and where are they going to dispose of the used once only ones. There will probably be instruction just before Xmas...….

actually he has put the price up but it was worth it .It's not glamorous just a tidy casual like me .I nearly passed out with the heat of wearing a mask
but it's what we have to do now...….

It does put me off shopping I must say.I've worn one since the onset due to Les's problem, and I've saved quite a bit of cash.I haven't been in a clothes / shoe shop and have avoided the supermarket stuff as I can't wait to get out into the air. I think that when you get out of the habit of doing things, you're not in a hurry to go back to it .A bit like smoking etc. Mind you,I wish I had the cash I've saved since I stopped smoking
26+ years ago......I didn't spend it ALL on chocolate

I got invited to my friends shop... You can park three semi trucks with trailer ++ I'm quite happy to hang out with the guys and offer a little help. Not a job, but something to do. He has lots of tools and a hoist as well, so I may be allowed to work on a couple projects. Fingers crossed.
