Hi all..hope to find you all well.
Our lovely warm sunny weather has gone today 🙁..quite a bit of rain due over the next few days, or so they say. Oh well at least I have got a nice deep tan😀. Also a somewhat tidier garden 🌳🌺

Been for our weekly shop and still no flour here.It's not that I want to bake or anything so exciting but I cook Les' fish in flour and egg.
I like a bit of kraut Chris so if you can send me flour I'll send you kraut.
 
So after all these weeks I have eventually been allotted a supermarket order delivery slot...….
I have ordered a large turkey,cranberry sauce,roast potatoes,xmas pudding and cake.and a bottle of good whiskey to help me cope with the excitement of it all.....
 
I'm fed up with adverts etc.on TV showing people online just how clever,courageous,funny,kind, organised,fit and inventive they are.
Here's what I'm NOT doing !!!
Painting the kitchen,turning the shed into a cocktail bar,knitting sweaters for rescued bald battery hens, doing 50 star jumps twice an hour,
Baking multi-coloured fairy cakes (no flour) face timing people I went to school with far to long ago to care about them,Learning to speak Cantonese,Russian,Latin andEsperanto,Reading War and Peace.....please feel free to tell us what you're NOT doing..

I'm not...sorting out the cupboards that when you open the door all sorts of crap falls out 😯...I'm not sorting my old clothes out, they are all old😔...nor am I sorting out my kitchen cupboards, or doing anything else I can't be bothered to do 🙂

Yes Carol I am also very worried about Trysha.

I'm not cutting my hair, not attending any swanky parties... (not that I was invited to any). Let's see... I'm not wearing a mask... because I like my beard the way it is and am feeling fine other than the usual problems we crohnies encounter. I'm also not doing much driving unless it's on two wheels. The last one makes me the happiest. Trysha , you're in my thoughts and prayers. If any of you feel you're at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!

I too hope you're well Trysha. If it gives you any reassurance about the methotrexate, I swear years ago it helped me walk again after my first major but little stroke and a couple TIAs (when they still thought I had MS). I had no side effects!!! 😲😀😀😀

I'm also glad you are mostly better from probable "Rona" Chris. I hope there's room for 3 on your MC. 😀

Doug and I just had a little scare but it all ended up ok. Doug woke up with a fever the other day, longer story shortened (we have adequate supplies here for testing for anyone doc deems necessary), he did NOT have the dreaded virus. In fact, Friday he woke up feeling and looking much better, the day he got his results. It was some other bug. I'm soooo relieved.

One not so good thing is next Friday Doug is scheduled to have a treatment for Barrett's esophagus with low grade dysplasia they recently discovered. They will basically be burning the pre-cancerous cells away with "radiofrequency ablation." Doug is understandably a little nervous. I'm a little nervous for him, but sure everything will end up ok in the end.

Tomorrow we're going to go kayak fishing again.🎏 I have a new kayak (again this year) because I couldn't keep up with other kayakers. I guess I'm not getting any younger, darn it all. This kayak came with a small trolling motor and I LOVE IT!

hey everyone , hope all of you are doing well , nothing much happening here , get up do some baking with all the flour we have stockpiled ;) , play with the dog , read in the sun or hide from the rain , took out the drill today to put up some plant holders and lost a few inches of skin , no more diy for me , hope we all get through this situation asap and hope humanity learns from it , thats all from the a quiet and peacefull Ireland .
 
Hey Sandy nice to see you 🙂. I'm sure all will go well for Doug...about 30 years ago I had pre cancerous cells removed from my cervix, had no problems since. Fingers crossed for the same outcome for Doug 🤞🤞. Enjoy your new kayak..I am sure you will be leader of the pack now 🙂 . Take care both of you. Hugs n loves 💕💞🕊🌈💋
 
Hi Tony...good to hear your doing ok..mmm your DIY attempts sound like my sons he managed to injure me last week (with the drill,caught my elbow and like you did took out a bit of skin) and himself 3/4 times yesterday. Thankfully none serious . Keep well and safe. Hugs and loves 💞💕🕊🌈

I don't know about the rest of the world but here in the UK we're being swamped with celebrities and "ordinary" folk online and TV doing all sorts of "wonderful" things during lockdown...…..cooking ,learning a language ,keeping fit etc......me ,I'm doing Diddly Squats
 
New Covid regulations....we can play cricket or golf with a CLOSE family member in a Garden Centre after work but preferably not on a bus !!!!
School staff are NOT ready for re-opening...as one said "we can barely control head-lice "
It would be funny if it wasn't so terrifying.
 
Hi everyone.
Carol, we had something similar here when the restrictions started. They shut down about every form of recreation in our state including all state parks with their lakes and reservoirs, which is usually where we have kayaked, (in addition to everything else being shut), but then the next day they said golf was ok. I'm sure it was our governor who wanted to golf. Kayaking we generally can't get close to anyone unless we tried. Golf, well, you know. It's crazy isn't it?
 
Thankyou friends....my dear hubby bought me a box of porridge !!!!!.(???).but made up for it with a tub of Haagen Dass strawberry cheesecake ice cream.He never ceases to amaze me but I love being married to him.It's so great to find one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.
 
Hi Tony,it's good to see you and I'm glad you and yours are doing OK.I thought of you when I saw this quotation,and all our other dog lovers too of course...….If the kindest souls were rewarded with the longest lives dogs would outlive us all.

Hope all's well for you my friends.....I had a wahaaay moment this morning while tidying a drawer in the kitchen.I have an old purse I've been meaning to swop with my present one and I found £200 stashed in it.Not a clue how it got there or more to the point why I didn't miss it.
Most was old 20s so I will scurry to the bank to change it on Monday..

And not forgetting Niall of course .And yourself, ….how you doing ? And the woman next door,is she OK ? And the nice chap in the corner shop where you buy your beer and fags ?

I'm still very concerned about Trysha as I know we all are.We can only hope she'll pop in soon with a good yarn to amaze us .Fingers X'd.
 
Pms😆😆😆😆Well Carol...they are all ok thanks hun. Though mum is much the same still can't walk or stand for more than a couple of minutes. I fear this will be the new normal 🙁but otherwise she's ok.

I think crohns might be a problem up there,if not for you then the crew.Not sure what the bathroom procedure is but you can bet it won't be uncomplicated.....on that thought ,we drove into town earlier and got as far as the carpark when I had to come home due to urgency.Made a second trip and had to return home again and stayed here.All this because there are no public toilets yet open....

As from yesterday The Seven Dwarves have been told they can meet in groups of six.....One of them isn't happy.
 
Ah public toilets... now they are rare as it is normally, these days it seems no one needs to go to the loo when not at home... 😯😯

Oh ye actually you do...oh well never mind!!! Seems to be the council's response they don't give a 💩 that we might need a 💩

Well I got a Radar key today which enables access to disabled toilets.That is IF they aren't locked behind a gate with the normal Ladies and Gents.So at the moment it's a bit hit and miss.We had a drive around and found two local ones.It doesn't take much to please me.I'm a cheap date hahaha.Of course I won't need the key when the rest are open unless there's queues. I was expecting a queue outside the disabled if anyone had noticed me going in.....I do have a card from crohns & Colitis uk that I can hand over at any shop requesting could I use their loo,but I've never used it in case I'm refused.Anyway I haven't usually got time to faff about.When I need to go I mean NOW !!!!
 
I have had a radar key since 1st being diagnosed, somewhat more recently I have had a can't wait card..have used it on odd occasions when in desperate need..only used radar key a few times too. I won't take advantage of either of them unless in dire need. Good to have them though for those times. By the way so far I have not been refused when using my can't wait card. If fact had to use it at B&M bargains the other week, they were a bit wary at 1st because of lockdown when I asked to use the loo, on saying I had crohn's and a card.they did let me use the toilet 🙂...thankfully would of been a bit of a stinky mess in store otherwise 💩💩.
Use your card Carol. If they say no...drop them a load . It will stop them saying no in future 😯😯😆😆. ..I would just to show them up and how uncaring they are..
 
OMG !!! dirty bugger.Makes you wonder what they get up to behind closed doors.....I know I've mentioned closed public loos a couple of times but today is the first time I've seen it mentioned in a newspaper....Apparently during the hot spell when half the population threw caution to the wind and gathered at beaches and beauty spots etc. locals were finding bottles of pee that had been thrown from cars also faeces in private gardens etc,and goodness knows what else. The mind boggles.....

Are we ready for the next wave of covid19 to surface..with recent mass rallies its bound to.

Totally agree with the black lives matter campaign, absolutely do.. every life matters, but surely it's going to cause a resurgence of the virus and thus more lives lost . Maybe a different way would have been better and the message would have still been heard. Praying no more lives are lost because of trying to protect lives 🙏🕊🌈💞
