Well I'm 64 going on 35,and I hope you'll all agree I still have my wits about me,if not the rest.Although I can still do most of the things I did in my 30s when I bend down to fasten my shoes I wonder what else I can do while I'm down there.Oh, and I grimace a lot more while doing it.So I win,if only for being the oldest.

Unless Honeysuckle is another name for something that smells icky and you put your feet in it, I wouldn't worry about the baking soda. Just a good bit of compost should see you fine - not in your shoes - in your garden for the Honeysuckle! :rosette1:

Hello Aura - thanks for your horticultural advice. I have now appointed you my personal 'Help Desk' - so be prepared

What do you want sense for.....light entertainment and hilarity, thats what we need.I suppose your cigar forum is very "stiff upper lip" lighten up Man !!!!!!!!

I win, cos I am awake and it's my fault for letting Wolf sleep on the bed. He wanted to play=-[]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]3 see that was him on the keyboard. Anyway he wanted to play 'bite my feet while I sleep' its a hell of a way to wake up! - so I win

Hey - that was an ambush !

Are you winding down for 4th July yet? Would you like to borrow my bunting?

Well that's sweet ofyou to offer, but have my own proudly flying on the flagpole...with a light that is turned on at night. Winding up for the 4th is more like it, lol!

(you're getting sleepy, Robert....very sleepy....)

My 33 going on six lady that I work with Monday and Tuesday mornings (literally younger acting, she had her cord wrapped around her neck neck at birth), and I painted our fingernails red, white and blue today. Flag going up tonight. Mom coming over for dinner and fireworks on the 4th. Good times.

Update for my other forum. My wanna be bully (I refuse to be bullied) has almost all of her "friends" coming over to my threads and posting nice things to me. Bully still says she didn't do anything wrong, of course, and that everything is my fault. I tried several times to say nice things to her ya know. Me bad. Doug told me to leave it alone, but I like digging holes for myself. And they called my daughter "drama queen" before she even came to live with us. Doug's grey hair was being pulled out (by himself) in clumps yesterday.

I better win for him, today.

So scottsma...we are of the same age..yes fun and laughter is what we want..we struggle enough with our daily living as it is....So while you are sleeping on the otherside...I will claim the win for the kiwi at the bottom of the world........................yeah baby!

:us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag:This is the Utah win. Getting ready to celebrate our Independence from those darn Brits! Thirteen flags for the thirteen colonies who stood up to the tyrant King George III, and won.

Other forum update (why I can't play and get along well with others) - I just found out my nemesis has borderline personality disorder. NOW I understand. I'll be nicer to her --- by probably ignoring her. She can't help it.
I win again!

So thats whats happening on the 4 of july...well I never! ...fancy that! ..and I thought it was because King George forgot to order the tea in the approved manner....and on that note I will take a win........on this rather wet and cold day in the land of the long white cloud...

Wallath, I would love to read history books from other parts of the world. And have everybody else read ours. There was a "tea party," though. A part of the revolt.

:highfive:don't worry I've read the same books..I thought on this rather wet and cold day in our part of the world that in taking a win  I'd :rof: have a dig at that most precious of things in all of the US of A ...the 4th of July..hope you have a great day:kiss:..and remember the flame of freedom burns brightest in the US..and may it never die:lol:

:us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag::us_flag:

USA USA USA ALL THE WAY!!! HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO MY AMERICAN PEEPS!!

oh yeah btw.....WIN for me!!

:pillowfight: Never yield!!!!! goes the saying.........I'll take the win thanks......:sheep:..

:soledance:....perhaps for a moment or two.....:sheep:..thanks I'll take it back now!.:sheep:

LOL. My foster son would say "come on. Take a joke." I'm so gullible at times I fool myself. Probably because of the heat.:us_flag:

Oh yeah, I win. muahahahahaha!!

Poor deluded Kirsty - by the way (in your new role) - any suggestions for lunch bearing in mind I am a poor cook.

Morning Robert, lovely to see you this morning. To be honest I am not sure what you can handle food wise (I mean that in a IBD way). But its summer, in the UK - so I would suggest going down to your local and sitting in the beer garden and ordering some scampi and chips, with a pint!

Alternatively, you could stay at home and have a sandwich. You could grill some bacon, and have cheese and tomato. Egg and mayo sandwiches are nice but tend to be :stinks:

Toasted sandwich, panini, omlette, scrambled eggs, tuna and mayo sandwich

Mmmmmm - Do you know I live 15 paces from a pub, overlooking a river, with a great beer garden. I chose my flat very carefully - I ignored that it is miles from the railway station, shops, etc - it is about priorities.Anyway the pub would be cheating so I like the sound of Tuna Mayo Panini. Dropping daughter at work then going shopping.

It is good having my own help desk - thanks Kirsty.

Just had a big earthquake...just down the road a bit.....:dance:a 6.5 to 7.0 magnitude..shaky isles that we are......and while I'm here I would like to humbly claim a win :rosette1:

I would imagine Wallath takes it very calmly.

Cold tea? Really ! Cheryl I was hoping we could make a Brit out of you - I can see it will be a long job.

Sandy we have not argued all day - I am getting withdrawal symptoms.

Back from the gym and in the mood to win.

Good Afternoon Peeps, hope you are all fed, watered, rested and unshaken(Wallath) and of course that your "innerself" is having a good day,oh,and your aircon is working well.I'm so nice how can you not let me be THE ALL TIME WINNER.Thankyou all in anticipation.XXXX

Did you not read the first part of that sentence? I said I like hot tea, said that first! Pay attention!!

I know, Carol, my bad! I just keep thinking they have common sense....after all these years, you would think I would know better!

Over on the other 'Last One Wins' (you know - the one Cheryl can't find) we have discussed the perfect day's television schedule - this is mine - can you do better?

:dance:We all love a a party here in the land of the long white cloud:dance:...as to the earthquake :highfive:....pass the tea will u love...:cheerss:.....out of sympathy I'm sure you all understand if I grab a win here:sheep:.....

Glad you are ok Wallath and now that you have had sympathy and time to win-----------its my turn to win
Cheers!

I can't help it! I'm deathly (I hope that part doesn't come true) afraid of earthquakes! We too live in an earthquake zone, though not as often. They say we are overdue for "the big one."

Sorry I couldn't come play, Robert. I had to go to work (playing in the swimming pool.) Also checking on my other forum, the depression one, which is depressing because the person I used to consider a bully really has no friends left. I really do feel bad for her, but she takes all attempts to be nice to her as personal attacks. She must be really hurting. I really do feel bad for her.

And, Robert, Andy Griffith died today. That is depressing too, isn't it?

Cheryl, we tried to watch no, or at least little television, just last week. It lasted about an hour.

I'm baaaack! To win!
Win, win, win, win, win, win, win!

Oh - and looking at my worldwide weather and earthquake app today after Wallath's earthquake, I found out that Utah had an earthquake today too - a 1.9. (people can't even feel them until they get about 3.0).

I win, yeah the earthquake woke me up. Strange waking up thinking the bed is shaking, I am shaking, everything in the wardrobe is shaking. How's Trev?

Had a quiet day today, seemed to need it.

6.2 is significant. Is everything Ok there Aura?

I wouldn't call walking up to an earthquake quiet. Shhhuuudddeerr! I'm even afraid when I have to stop in a vehicle under an underpass (because of a red light ahead) that an earthquake will happen and the road/interstate above will squish me like a bug.

It's all okay, just fortunate that it was so deep at 230km. It's my first quake for a while. I should be used to them as I grew up in Wellington. Hubby was shaken out of his bed in Blenheim (I should have said who pushed him :lol2:, but that may not have gone down well)

If somebody had pushed him, I could see you doing it when he got back! (I'm so bad)

Glad you and yours are okay!

Thanks, Sandy - we are all good - Trev and Wallath were closer to the centre point. Hubby will be home most of next week so that will be good. He works hard, but I look after him when he is home. I sent him away with a tin of orange muffins for his workmates this week.

Okay if we want a party we are all Americans today.

Happy 4th July you lot
:us_flag: :us_flag:

Should be some easy wins with you all celebrating

Hey Kirsty

Cricket is on cable and I made a decision not to have it as would spend way too much time watching! I am taking my son to cricket training later - he plays for a village cricket team out in the middle of nowhere.

I am at home all this week - so too much time to annoy people on here. Those Americans - fancy having a celebration midweek and then have to go to work the next day!

I think we are getting a link to the chat room on the home page soon.

Orange muffins sound good!

I love watching cricket - I have the Ashes 2005, 2009 and 2010/11 on DVD.

Hubby used to play village cricket too - he played for Kempsford - that's in the middle of the countryside, tucked away near Fairford.

I'm going to hit the sack soon - for some reason I have exhausted today. I'll probably be back in a few hours and then I could give you live updates. Do you check out the scores on cricinfo website?

The muffins were good. One of hubby's workmates, whose Irish, asked if I had the skills to make lemon muffins - so I made orange ones instead and stuck them in green patty tins :ylol2:

Cable is my only luxury in life, that in a bit of waxing now and then - just never sure if that is a luxury - or a session in pain...

Time for a win.

Cricket is just the greatest sport. This is the first year I have not been to Lords for years - what went wrong. Village cricket is great fun - 15 year old's alongside the 60 year old's - very inclusive.

Waxing !

No way

Meanwhile back at the farm, while you are all watching cricket...I will steal a win and hope no one bowls an underarm........

That's the good thing about watching cricket - plenty of time to do other things - like keeping an eye on my win for example. Best go make the cucumber sandwiches for the afternoon tea break Wallath.

Doug has the rest of the week off just to bug you, Robert. Score!

Now time to go ride my bike before the rest of Utah wakes up. Another score!

I hope Sandys back safe from her bike ride otherwise she could be in the next state by now. It's almost 4hrs since anyone posted,so if you're not bothered I WIN AGAIN

Yep - not much fun at Cheryl's though - she is serving cold tea, Better round at Sandy's - she found me some warm beer.

I would have given you carrott, apple,cu,ginger and anything else lurking in the chiller drawer.Mmmm Mmm

We are at the world famous Kaysville UT July 4th parade. Already had the flyover with airforce jets. Parade just starting

What's wrong with the weather in Birmingham? Not a ball bowled, I am disappointed. Oh well, I'll take a win - while everyone is out frolicking around.

Yep it's the mad UK weather - I can drive to the ground from where I live in about 2 hours + and it has been a glorious warm day here. Not sure if it has been called off yet - they can go on until late under the lights.

:boring::boring: (yawn)

Yup. I made it to the next state. Actually, around the block. I have mobility issues, and even have to use (ugh!) my dreaded wheelchair when we go to our American football (college level) games. Season ticket holders. The parking there is in the next state, or East Egypt, whichever is, further, otherwise. It depends on where you are trying to park.I think that is about the only time I use that monster nowadays. I do use a cane when outside in areas without a lot of things to lean on. In my house, I can just use walls or furniture.

BTW, Doug and Ashley went to the parade. I stayed back and had a massage! I live for my massages. No beer here tonight. Can't stand the stuff, even if I could drink it. I'm not even supposed to drink diet Coke, so I use it only for medicinal purposes now. When I have a headache. About every day. And my mother will be here, who definitely does not approve of any drinking. But she did have a neighbor give beer to her when she was about three.

You all can come over for barbeque, potato salad, fruit salad, and whatever else I think of before we have our fireworks tonight, though. Warning - my Mother with borderline personality disorder (yes, that's where I get my emotional stability from) will be there. She will either love you, or hate you. It depends on what my sister says, who will not be there.

At any rate, I win! From Colorado!

Happy family night Sandy, sounds like fun!
I'd bring prawns wrapped in bacon for Doug to throw on the Barby as a starter, my mum's carrot salad and a pavlova with strawberries and cream. I so wish I could pop over - I love barby's.

When we have them at the UK 30+ relatives turn up - it's amazing!

So---they have found the so called 'God particle" which has nothing to do with God---
just a name like fairy cakes .
Regardless of names it is an extraordinary achievement which in the spin offs has led to such things as MRi and CAT scanners etc.------that said-----------now I win!

Kirsty, most of my relatives avoid me. It either has to do with my cooking, or they live uphill in both directions. personally, I think they just hate me. (really, they are just so darn far away. One even lives across the country, and her hubby is in Japan on business half the time.)

And Trysha, I haven't paid much attention to the "God Particle." I've been too busy sleeping or playing on this darn forum. One day I will pay attention to something besides "I love Lucy" and my spoiled dog. One day, I'm going to figure everything out about God, the universe, and everything. And why Robert likes cigars.

Not in Utah! More wildfires have broken out in Utah lately from people's stupidity.

But you can watch with us our fireworks that we bought about 9:00 p.m. or the Kaysville City fireworks from our front yard at 10:00 sharp. Most people can't see from their yards, but we are lucky and get a good view.

I win, yeah the earthquake woke me up. Strange waking up thinking the bed is shaking, I am shaking, everything in the wardrobe is shaking. How's Trev?
hi kirsty, we spent the night at Opunaki, couldnt have gotten any closer to the quake. we thought someone was shaking the motorhome as we had friends parked next to us, they thought the same. how is every one today?

The end of the 4th. Its about 10 minutes to midnight, and most of the fireworks have died down. We still here them about every 30 to 60 seconds, though. Our nice quite neighborhood gets very loud on the 4th. Doug is just driving Mom home to her condo in Salt Lake City - about an hour there and back. System X, how is it where you live in Washington? Does your community really get into celebrating like ours? Are you right in Seattle? I've been trying to talk Doug into a trip to the Pacific west coast, especially Oregon and Washington. I have fond memories of the beauty there. My family used to go to Portland, Oregon every year, along with some nearby beaches, but my favorite was along Washington's coastline on our way to Vancouver Island, along with V.I. in B.C. okay, I'm rambling. Everyone better let me win or I won't shut up. It's now midnight. Happy Independence Day Everyone! Even New Zealand started with some shake, rattle and roll of their own.

Happy 4 July Sandy -
I fell down a flight of stairs this morning, my legs went out from under me and I ended up sliding down a wooden set of stairs on my knees - big ouch! I got lots of lumps and bruises now and sore back and neck.

Went to hospital apt - all good - got told I got osteoarthritis in my lower spine/sacrum/si joints.

I had a couple of good coffees, in between all that - but what a day! Nice time for a win!

What a quiet day on here - I knew it was you Americans making all the noise.

Kirsty - we just cannot leave you alone for 5 minutes can we?

Settle down now everyone - the win is in safe hands.

I like my pain meds!! I feel good now :thumleft: Can't feel the pain in my legs, neck or back - yahoo! I think I just need a big bubble - if I stay in my bubble I will be safe! I can grab a win from my bubble!! Thanks Robert for looking after it briefly.

Not trying to cause trouble or anything, but Robert,Sandy thinks your stupid !!! thats what it looks like to me anyhow. They've had thier day over the pond,so it's time for TEAM UK to take the WINNNNNNNNNNN:medal1::medal1::medal1:

Not trying to cause trouble or anything,

Erm.................... I will think you will find that is my job and I think I am very good at it. But you are right TEAM UK is an unstoppable force.

Wallath - decent effort - but....................no !

I was too busy lighting fireworks last night to mess around here. Team Utah is back for final victory.

I missed you Cheryl. Do you want to come with us when we go to the Pacific Northwest? Doug, you can light more fireworks today in celebration.
