Hi,
I'm home for the win but am very sad. My Dad didn't come today because his hip keeps popping out because a ligament or tendon is getting caught up on a bone spur. He is in a wheel chair and it really upset me. So after we ate and visited at my brothers. Mike and I went over and took him food and he was happy. But, he may need surgery. It's so hard seeing your Dad suffer. He already has been from rheumatoid athritis in his hands and they were swollen and numb. Just please say a prayer for him please. Thanx guys!!:sign0085:

Teresa, prayers sent.
GJ, I don't have crohn's and I'm still hungry all the time. No bean pole here at all.
Trysha, Glori, Cheryl, I Hope you are all okay
Sorry Robert, you didn't win today.
Carol, methinks you didn't either kind lady
Doug, I miss my fellow Ute here.

Hi I done my humira jab today, I am in bed resting now - mainly cos its raining and I am tired - it seems a good place to be. Hubby gone away for the week as is the norm. I have a docs visit on Thurs this week. I miss Doug too Sandy, give him a hug from me. He is my Humira buddy :thumleft:

Time for a win as I sit back and watch India play us at cricket. I just watched baseball - Tigers v'x White Sox

ok another random question. Does anyone have a problem when you eat, then a few hours (or sometimes 30 minutes) later you are in the bathroom? (graphic alert!) I have been having the weirdest symptoms this weekend. This last time after I ate dinner, it was all bloody on the tp. Tommorrow is Humira injection day, and I hope that will clear up some of my problems. This is all so new to me, so when stuff like this happens, I tend to freak out.

GJ, if the blood was bright red it could be from hemorrhoids, but you never can be too careful with bloody stools. Sometimes I am in the bathroom very quickly after I eat, but I have "IBS", not an IBD. However, I had my gallbladder out several years ago, and now I have to be careful with some things I eat. It may be similar for you with crohn's.

P.S., How do you know when you are getting older?
When your hemorrhoids get in the bathtub before you do.
I know -- me bad, me bad.

Sandy, that is too funny!! It could very well be my lovely hemorrhoid! It is porbably tired of me poopin all day! ha ha!

Hope you are doing well!

dealing with crud and missin' my friends here. This week we take dd to GI doc at Hopkins then come home; she heads off to college classes while I head off to my GI doc to find out about the biopsy from the endoscopy. Will insist on colonoscopy. Took over 24hrs this time for the 4 Ducolax Laxative pills to sort of work. Motility study and Ultrasound of bicep where the blood clots were as well as the implanted port is this week as well. Busy, busy, busy....

Yes Sandy, you bad! But funny!

How are all my other loony friends doing? Check in time.

Now if I can just stop sneezing..... AAAAAChooooooooo!

My win... Sniff, sniff...

Hey Ma, I doing okay - done my jab had a nap coping ok. I just had 1/4 bowl of roast pumpkin, carrot and almond soup with some foccacia bread that hubby made

Depends on how bitter you are feeling? I would suggest by your earlier comment that the apricot jam would be best - a bit more sugar to sweeten you up

Thanks for the promotion - I am a special advisor now :medal1::congratualtions: to me

Well seeing as how you willingly give your advice free of charge and have been spot on so far (apart from the short sleeve debacle) I thought you should have a raised status.

Did you hear about the sightings of an escaped lion over here - much local panic and a major national news story - turned out to be a large domestic cat - what fun

I did hear about the Lion on the loose - did anyone get any pics of the beasty on the prowl?

Hhhmmm "I'm special, special, special, special:D"

Well I don't know but I guess it looked something like this

By the way - don't push it missy

If your soup is homemade, can you please pm me the receipe. It sounds delightful and warm..... Thanks dear.

Well I sometimes feel the pressure trying to keep order around here. Too much niceness for my liking.

It is a bit like missionary work for me - to show you all the dark side.

I'm mean too Robert. Fight with Ashley and now she doesn't want to go with us for our ride to the Uintas. Mountains at a high altitude full of beautiful lakes and streams. It would be fall colors and absolutely gorgeous. We can't leave her alone for even five minutes, the little manipulator.

I'm in and out of cell phone range, going up to the Uintah Mountains so I win no matter what. I'll be back!

Newness gets you no where fast on this forum.

Attention all Newbies! Please be sure to send Robert lots and lots of hugs. He's a big old teddy bear that needs some softning'.

I win! Tee hee!

I'm baaack! Anyone can come on that Alaskan cruise that wants to. It doesn't matter how old or young you are. Okay, it does matter how young you are, at least mature enough, and not like my dog who keeps grabbing my hands away with her paws when I try to type on this tiny key board.

I have held the title of winner for 23 minutes!!! Please....don't be jealous! I am the winner!!!! Not bragging...just stating the facts! :)

just like the wind sweeping off Lake Erie and hitting Cleveland, Ohio, I am swooping through to take the win.............

I liked your line, Michael. Even though I live in Utah, I have been to all the Great Lakes, and even most of the states, Canada, and Mexico.

Sandy. Sent you emails.
My back feels alot better. I just keep battling headaches. It might be my neck. Have spurs and arthritis in it. Fun getting older.:sign0085: After seeing my Dad, I guess I shouldn't be complaining.

I'll bet Teresa is off reading a strange novel. We keep missing each other. I'm here, and staying for a while, and winning.

hi Teresa, great trip, caught up with lots of friends, need a break now.
hows things with you?

Sandy, it's about midnight here so I'm going to go for tonight. I'll talk to you in the morning before my DR.s appt. OK?

Yeah, I was told I had arthritis in my neck so bad it could make my arms and hands numb. They didn't x-ray or do an MRI on my lower back, but it hurts worse. For sure have arthritis in my shoulder though. And my feet (had surgery on one where they shortened bones and put screws in. Might have to have total joint replacement sometime.soon. Shoulder near frozen not too long ago. Yep, I don't want to get old any more.

Not too bad. My Dad spmhow pulled his hip out of socket and had to go to ER tonight and get it back in. Kind of put a damper on our holiday. I am ok, other than headache.
Glad you had a good time Trev!!!

I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter, for
some reason, took my order first.
"I'll have the rump steak, very rare, please."
He said, "Aren't you worried about the mad
cows?"
"Nah, she can order for herself."
And that's when the fight started.....

I've been a mother too long. And I'm ending it. It doesn't matter who started it. Now go give your brother a hug and learn to get along.

Actually the Hug button has to go.

Supposing I accidentally press it - my image carefully built over a lifetime is destroyed in an instant.

I suggest scrap the existing buttons and replace with:

Shock button - electric shock through the keyboard for any annoying posts.
Nod button - This will convey support, agreement and thanks.

That should cover everything.

Now if someone would invent a go to sleep and wake up when we want button, kind of like an alarm clock, that put us into a deep sleep or woke us up into a completely wakeful state when we needed it, THOSE would be good buttons. Your post woke me up too early which rarely happens, and now I'm going to be even more sleepy than normal today.

I would like a sleep button, push it and you are asleep for at least 5 hrs. I am awake after 2 hrs, not fair:eek2:

You are right, Kirsty, that is not fair. Neither is sleeping all night and half the day. Either way it doesn't make for very productive days.
I don't know if I win or lose today. Ashley is off for her first day of her last year of school.

:lol:Yep, it is Robert's fault!!!!

Robert there is an unhug button if you accidentally push it. They saw your posts and made sure that was an option!
