I recently left my Humira pen out of the fridge for 90 minutes in my 70 degree faranheit home. I searched the web to see if this was ok, but did not find anything conclusive. I called Humira and they put me in touch with their special section which deals with this issue. They asked me if the pen had been in the sunlight and how warm my home was. They concluded that it was fine and that the med would not be inactive as a result of my having left it out. It would be ok to either take the med or put it back in the fridge and take it later. I asked if they would share their calculation methodology with me so that I could perform my own calculations rather than call them in the event that I happen to leave the pen out for more than 90 minutes or if my home is warmer than 70. They declined; they advised me to call back each time. It seems they don't want folks like me to have their proprietary info. Oh well.
