I am just so pissed, my apologies for the word. I no sooner think that ahhh, tummy hasn't really bothered me in a bout a week, I am on my lowest dose of pred, and I think I might make it to remission......head goes off on me and I'm on my 2nd day of a full migraine. Of course with that comes the nausea, etc.. Ok, count my blessings....tummy still ok, no D, and 'this too shall pass'. Deep breath. I haven't shared my feelings with hubby and family because they worry waaaay too much. Thank you for allowing me to do it here.

Nightmare! Hope it goes soon. I get headaches a bit too anyway. (Before diagnosis) Not sure if you can take paracetamol with pentasa? Do though. Are you able to take anything? Should you take anything?

I have Fiorinol (tylenol/codeine/caffeine) which usually works ok if I catch migraine at the beginning. Not so this time. I just have to wait it through with regular tylenol now.

Nightmare! If you have any lavender essential oil, rub some on your forehead. I find that can help a little. I really hope it goes soon for you.:frown:

I got bad headaches when weaning off pred, lasted about 5 days, 2days later i had to drop a dose and it went like that for about a mnth lol.

Make sure you have plenty of water. I also use dyralite (sp?) to get enough minerals in me cos of dehydration. Seemed to work well. I also fid tiger balm (white) to help, its made with menthol so cools the skin down. Works so well on hangovers/headaches/stomach/ joints etc

Rygon, I had no clue it could be related to weaning off Pred. I don't know what dyralite might be, probably a different name in US, but I shall look that up. thank you sincerely.

I was given Amitriptyline for my headaches after the steroids. It's also helped with joint pain and the cramps, restless legs and it keeps you calm!
Another alternative is Feverfew, a herb to treat migraines etc.
I drink Dioralyte too to boost up electrolytes when I'm dehydrated, I think it's like your Gatorade or Powerade?
hope you feel better soon

Have you ever seen a neurologist for your migraines? How often do you get them? I used to live through my migraines (I have NO IDEA now how I did that) and the nausea and the incapacitating agony... now I take triptans and for the most part they stop the migraine in its tracks. Instead of being out for days I now usually just have to take a short nap. I've touted the benefits of them on here a couple of times before.

In any case, I'm glad to hear it has passed and you are feeling better. I understand how truly disabling they can be and it's always good to know somebody else understands (even if you wouldn't wish it on them).

Very relieved its over Judith. There really is nothing worse....well prob apart from the flares but anyway I'm glad you can relax now :)
