Mild flare up

I hope so too but I don't know your history either. What meds if any are you taking? No harm in giving the GI a call and letting them know what's going on so they can give you the best care possible. Hope you feel better soon and keep us posted. :)

So did you get a hold of your GI? What did they say? What sort of symptoms are you having?

they are on hoilday cannot get into the doctor till wed, and everytime i eat i go to the bathroom and its painful in the bowel

Is it possible to see your GP and have them order blood work to see if you have any active inflammation going on and if you do they may be able to prescribe a course of steroids to help tide you over until you see/speak to your GI.

Are you on any medication at the moment?

Normally when a specialist goes on vacation/holiday they have someone fill in for them. There's no other specialist you can see since this one isn't very active in trying to help you?

Edit: When you go in for blood work have all your vitamin levels checked too since you said before that you feel dizzy sometimes. Check B12, Iron, Vit D etc. Its common to be low or even deficient in nutrients due to poor absorption so you may need supplements but get the blood work done to be sure.

That would be a very good idea. I edited my post above if you wanted to read it.

Hey Marti,
Sorry to hear you are having a flare up. Is it Crohn's you are dealing with or UC? If you are in that much pain, it would be a good idea to see your GP even just to get something to manage the pain while you wait to see your GI.
By the way, it looks like we are neighbours - I also live in Bby!
Take care and keep us posted!

Feeling any better Marti?

I always find a liquid diet very helpful when im feeling unwell, it helps with cramps and it eases with going to the toilet.

Did you managed to see a Doctor yet?

Get well soon

thank you, cannot do a liquard diet till next wed as i am out of money right now and i am on disability. i see the GP next wed

As long as you're getting nutrients with the liquid diet like from Ensure or something similar. Plus its best to keep in touch with a doc if you're going to go that route since you're already tired and feeling dizzy. Be careful.

I be careful i promise,

Hi Marti,
You really are going through it with money worries as well.
When i say liquid i mean like soups. I make up pots of soup made with vegetables, chicken anything you like. Then blend it all up and survive on that.
Look after yourself
