mixing with tobacco...bad...

Okay, so, I've been smoking for awhile and it always helps. My boyfriend does it for nonmedical purposes and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, rolls it with tobacco and joint papers. I was wondering if this is really bad for you and will do more harm then help? I don't know how to convince him to smoke something else, so maybe we will just not do this together anymore. But yes, I do partake in this currently, and I am wondering if I should STOP completely?

Also, my friends who do not smoke for medical reasons also use blunt wraps to roll their MJ with - I think I've heard these wraps also contain tobacco and am wondering if you think they should be avoided too?

What would be the BEST way to smoke MJ for your health? I find the "Spliff" route is nicest for ingesting it but it has tobacco in it which I really think, we can all agree on, is not ideal for getting better. I'd like to know because I am visiting this boyfriend soon so I want to change our habits while also getting the chance to injest this great medicine.

Thanks

Put it in a little pipe and smoke. Don't mix it w/ tobacco. That is wrong on so many levels

Aside from the cancer issue.
If you have UC, it's better for for you. If you have Crohn's then it won't help as much as tobacco makes Crohn's worse. It will still help but you won't get the full effect.

The best way to use pot is eating, followed by a vaporiser, then a joint followed by water pipe, and finally regular pipe.

Blunt wraps may contain tobacco but it depends on the brand.

If you process it in some way it will help more as the cannabids are fat and alcohol soluble. The easiest way is to make Firecrackers, however they do taste like hell.
You take two saltines spread one side of each with peanut butter, sprinkle pot on the peanut buuter, and sandwich them so that the the pot is surrounded on both sides by peanut butter, wrap them in tinfoil and bake them at around 325f for 25 minutes.

They taste like shit, but it is the fastest and easiest way to get the most of it without making your own butter or tincture.

My boyfriend did tell me about the firecrackers thing, but the thought of eating nasty tasting anything doesn't sit well with me. Ive done it countless times for various tests but I wonder if there was a good tasting alternative. I read somewhere you could bake it in cookies easily, but people have laughed at me when I mention this. For now I am probably going to continue smoking joints with very minimal tobacco in it. Its a lot harsher on my throat, but I would like to remove tobacco completely. I don't know why I have an aversion to pipes and bongs...

I don't really know alot about this as a treatment. I know that I used to smoke heavily and it put me to sleep which meant I didn't have to deal with pain. But it wasn't practical and I've cut down my intake so much that it doesn't do that to me anymore. What is typical of a "dose" of MJ to allow your digestive system to relax enough to eat well, you think? Does it vary among baked and smoked methods of ingesting? I don't even want to get into Vaping, I know nothing about it.

I just bought an iolite vaporizer because I didn't want to smoke anything (I quit smoking a while back and don't like to even think about smoking even a pipe... too much temptation!). I love it! It is so nice and easy to use. Very nice sensation that does not burn like smoking and very good use of even small amounts of mj. Love it!

I wouldn't trust any form of tobacco, if you have Crohn's. UC would be another story, but still probably best to stay away!

Smoking with UC is all about which cancer scares you more.

I was actually told to continue smoking tobacco by my GI. He said to hold off quitting smoking until after I have surgery to remove my colon.

A vaporizer is a really good way to go. Eating it is another good way it is a different feeling though. I personally don't like the blunt or pipe way it's more harsh to me. I like to use a bong, it seems more smooth and I tend to not need much A's where pipe I use more product.

I think Vaping honestly sounds like the best way to go, for me. It removes all the harmful effects of smoke, and is way more convenient than baking it, however, whenever I used a vaporizor in the past, it didnt seem to 'work'. Anyone else feel this way? Any tips on vaporizing? I'm going to see what google has to say about it, too. As for Pipes and bongs...that is a lot more feasible for me when I am away at school. Cant keep that stuff around when I am living at home.

On that note, Vaporizer is also not something I could consider keeping around my home either. Unless I can convince my mother otherwise, which she wont like since it is illegal. So, so confused. :/

I wish I could get a medical mj card, but I am a resident of NY where its not legal yet, but its legal in our neighbor NJ. Is there rules about crossing state boarders to get clearance from doctors for that kind of thing?
