Music tends to help me forget my problems.
It brings about a euphoric feeling of ease. I know there may be other links or threads for this subject, but I wanted people to know that music can be an outlet.
Use music to bring out emotions kept bottled in.
Use music to cry, laugh, sing, smile, shout for joy.
Use music to bring out feelings.
Us misic to express your anger, frustration, etc.
Use music to push away feelings of what ever might be ailing you inside and out.
Sing loud and proud. Yell the words if you need too. Get your whole body into it if that makes you feel better.
Some people aren't good at expressing themselves to others, so re-route those feelings you need to get out to how you feel thru music.
We all need to express ourselves. Feel good about it. Do it how it makes you feel better.

They say music can alter moods and talk to you
But can it load a gun for you and cock it too?

haha, your post just made me think of that lyric. But anyways I agree 100% with you. Whenever im in my car I put my ipod on a sing with my music. I have like 50 songs I can repeat the whole lyrics of.

Hi Vigi, how are you doing today? I love music to relax and just forget about my health issues. I do NOT like anything that is rap, hip hop, or violent. I hate music that is negative and promotes killing, hate, and racism. Do we really need that kind of stuff for our youth to be listening to anyway as well as someone like ourselves when we are trying to heal and get into remission??

Have a pain free weekend!!! God bless you my friend.

Killing, Hate, and Racism???? Please find me one rap or hip-hop song in the past 5 years that has promoted that. They may sing about it but they are in no way promoting it.

Moderator hat: Hey guys let's not discuss the issues in music but just leave this thread to what the OP intended. Thanks Moderator hat off:

I play guitar and sing daily to help me get things off my chest. It seems to help me a lot and I feel much better after just singing whatever I'm feeling.

I listened to this song that talks about doing heroin and it reminds me of getting IV Dilauded in the hospital and how good it felt. Kind of a good nostalgia, dunno if that`s good or bad haha.

Hey Vigi, got those bulls by the horns yet?

What music do you like? I'm an old rocker but have found in my present more mature state of age that I prefer a poet with an acoustic guitar or piano to just about anything else. Glad to see you mingling:).

I ALWAYS sing in my car and in the shower, it's a must lol
But I seem to tend to stick to r'n'b, hip hop, acoustic and *ahem* pop if i'm in a generally good mood but always find if i've got something to gripe about I'll listen to emo or rock stuff even if it's a happy song just because the guitar usually makes it sound a lot heavier.
It's why I don't really listen to rave or clubland because I can't relate to it through the songs having no particular lyrics and the same beat...
