Panda eyes?

I was looking in the mirror this morning and I had particularly pronounced dark rings around my eyes. This is not uncommon and I can get very dark areas, particularly under my eyes when I am having a flare up. Does anyone else suffer with this?

Not that I've noticed. I have pretty thin skin too.

I have dealt with dark circles off and on for my entire adulthood. I've never paired it with flare ups, though. Perhaps they get worse during a flare. I haven't paid it much attention, though.

Dark circles around the eyes can be a symptom of iron deficiency. That yours occur during a flare would make me lean quite heavily in that direction.

I also can be from lack of protein. A lot of young people who have long hair can get blackness around the eyes because the Keratin and Proteins are sucked out of their system.. Trust me I know.

Yep, I get that a lot. Had my iron levels tested a few weeks ago and OK. I think the dark circles actually got more pronounced when I moved onto the stronger meds.

I get the dark circles, too, but only during flares, too-my husband jokes that he knows I'm on the mend when the dark circles go away.

Yes I have noticed the same thing ,not sure if its because I dont sleep very deeply when in a flare.

It also happens to people with allergies. Whenever my daughter or I go in for allergies, they always comment on our dark circles and refer to them as "allergy eyes".
