Hello again!

Having a bit of a crappy (hehe) day. Started of normal but around 11ish this morning I suddenly got really really tired (I went to bed normal time last night, had a good night sleep an got up Normal time) an it was a struggle to stay awake. Then just before lunch time my stomach started doing its "thing"- started cramping and I had to run to the loo and was in there for quite a while. I got sent home and just slept for the rest of the day. I just went to the loo and passed blood and small bits of blood clots.

Anyway it's prob a stupid question but is it normal for people with crohns to pass blood clots? (I haven't had any parts of my bowle removed an I know passing blood from time to time is normal)

Also what do people do when they are feeling really tired and day to day tasks are a struggle?

Thanks Hayley!

As far as what to do when really tired, well, we all have different circumstances. Are you in school or do you work?

Any blood is not 'normal' - ESPECIALLY if you do not normally have that symptom. I would give the doc a call and let them know what is going on - the sudden tiredness could even be due to loss of blood - we don't know how much blood you passed, but there could be more or an active bleed.....

Definitely should at least make a call.

Thanks for replying pasobuff. Ive been told by my IBD nurse that passing blood for somebody with crohns is "total normal and nothing to worry about". (I'm starting to trust her less and less tho) I don't no how to describe how much blood I passed, there was quite a bit (I no that prob doesn't help, sorry!) the blood clots where the size of a pea and there was 2-3 colts.
I'll get in touch with my doc. Thank you! X x x

omfg....is totally NORMAL??? umm...NOT!!!!! Especially when it is a NEW symptom! Means something is not right.....now don't get me wrong, yes, for some, it has BECOME 'normal' due to their disease - but it is also a sign of active disease and/or other issues.

1 - take a deep breath.....2 - are you still passing blood or has it stopped? Is it bright red or darker? the brighter the blood, the closer to the end of the 'pipes'.....darker blood is usually from higher up.

How are you feeling overall right now? If the same or better, that is a lot better than feeling worse.....hope you hear back soon!
