This is a website that shows you what questions you should be asking of your physican. If you do not know the answer to these questions you should either A) ask your Doctor or B) get a medical report of your doctor from them. C) Use a third party site like listed below to check their credintals.

I HAVE NOT used this website or any website offering said services... I check out my doctors on my own personal judgement...

However, the questions listed on this website could prove very vital for not only choosing a doctor in your area but choosing a specialty doctor with the extra board certifactions you need. I highly suggest you check out this site and look up your doctor unless you are 100% certified and satasfied with his/her service. Not all doctors are listed on this site though. You should be able to use your own common judgement on the doctors though that aren't listed. If you don't trust your own judgment then use the site. Simple as that.
Or another site like it.

this is good to know about..
i feel lucky in that i totally trust and like my dr. and his staff.
the only drag is it take about 1 1/2 hours to get there there are places/dr's closer to me--but-..well-for many reasons i just want to stay with the dr i go to now. he is very thorough and up to date on new stuff and i did find out (after seeing/being happy with him)-that he is board-certified.
i know i like to check out whatever is out there to better understand stuff..and to be able to ask him about stuff---but-on the whole-i will follow whatever he tells me is best.
i had gone to other GI's before this..well..2--they were good-but..somehow-this GI --i just feel he goes a bit beyond
finding'staying with a dr you trust makes all the difference in the world...

lol thats funny cuz only my dr's at the university hospital are listed. I think it only counts those, it must not be counting self-practed doctors. Because I live in a WELL -populated area, highly militarized and such and have one of the best GI's even the hospital and other GI's tell me. not even My surgeon is listed either.

Doctors

What if you leave in Canada. Do you know the web site for Canadian drs.?Not that I want to chage my GI. this is the third one ive been too and i like this one just fine. He uderstands me and I understand him.

Hi,
I checked these sites and I found them very useful for me thanks for your kind information.

I find the best way to find a good doctor is to ask nurses to reccomend someone. Of course you should check their certifications too, but nurse know all the dirty little details and quirks.
