Pred now or in the morning?

Okay, I have the pred. Should I give it to him now or wait until the morning?

I usually take mine in the morning, with breakfast.

Johnny took it in the morning, with breakfast. I think if you have him take it before bed it will make sleeping harder.

I would give it to him in the morning. It can affect sleep.

Always give steroids in the a.m as that is when cortisol is naturally highest.
Give with food as they can cause gastric upset.

Based on your feedback, I'll start him on it in the morning. The doctor said to continue with the Entocort too. That scares me a bit! I'll be keeping him home from school tomorrow to keep an eye on him. Not sure he could go anyway since his tummy is hurting him so much.

Definitely a morning med Shelley! AZMOM has some amusing experiences with her Claire rearranging her room at 3 am whilst on pred. I hope it helps!!

A little room organization at 3am huh? LOL I gave it to S this morning and put him to bed at 9:45 and hoping he sleeps well. He was up every 2 hours last night to go to the restroom so I know he's tired. Praying for a good night's sleep for him tonight!!
