Second Infusion of Infliximab, anyone had these side effects?..

Hi, I had my second infusion of infliximab yesterday, after having my first within about 3 days my crohn's symptoms had got alot better - no more stomach cramps, rushing to the loo continuously, wanting to be sick after eating as food couldn't go anywhere, but what I have had is headaches! They come on towards the end of the day around tea time - I've had them every day although last few days seemed to get better until I had my second one yesterday. Since then the headaches are back and like migraines. Also really tired and have a sore throat today.
Did anyone else have these kind of side effects when they started? Will they go? It seems the infliximab is helping my crohns at the moment so I don't want to give up on it yet as really don't want to go back on steroids! Any feedback appreciated.

Headaches and sore throat are often reported side effects. It's good that you're taking note of the effects you're experiencing and being an alert patient! I'd recommend keeping a journal of everything you experience so that later on you won't have trouble with the timeline when you report side effects to your doctor.

If the side effects remain mild then just list 'em off at your next appointment, but if you start to get concerned, call right away and let your specialist office know what's up!!

I now take Tylenol for the rest of the week after I have an infusion.

It really seems to help me.

If it does get worse please call your doctor, these side effects can get very bad. however this being said they are quite rare.
