I have diabetes type 2 (i'm not on insulin) and fatty liver. I'm scheduling a resection, terminel ileum. I'm in my 30s. Anyone here with either of these problems and had a surgery like this before? I have a growing fear of some unexpected complications with recovery because of these problems... Thanks!

Hmm, I don't really know but I don't see why those would be an issue assuming the doctors know about your conditions and are able to make sure your blood sugar doesn't fluctuate too much via putting something in your IV or something (cause you can't eat anything). I have no info on the fatty liver. Sounds similar to my mom's condition (Type 2 diabetes and fatty liver) except you're younger and I think she would be able to handle a resection (even with her heart condition).
