Bolton,
I just cannot describe how tired I feel right now. I've got to collect my daughter from school in 15 minutes and I can barely keep my eyes open.

I'm slowly getting back into a normal sleeping pattern after being off work and I actually felt quite good this morning but as the day has gone on I've literally not stopped yawning. I've had bloods done fairly recently and I'm not low on iron or anything, but this is genuine, fall asleep on a washing line, tiredness.

Does anyone have any ideas or can recommend what they do to deal with this?

Hi! I'm on only the forum sporadically, so sorry I don't know if you're flaring or not!

Exhaustion independent from flaring/inflammation has been my chief problem for years.

Working on my alignment has helped me alot. My head is clearer and I don't always feel 2 mins away from falling asleep. Not a magic fix by any means but I feel better than in years.

My docs checked bloods and things like B12 for years, but only last summer did I get my Vit D level checked. It was low - supplementing (D3 - got one in olive oil from vitacost) has brought me back to a good range. I think this has helped me, too.

Hi Eviebaby I know how you feel with the fatigue. I suffer from this to n it's a nightmare. My blood work is "normal". I don't know how to make myself less tired, I've tried more sleep n rest, multi vitamin supplements etc. I now think it is just how it is sometimes for me now. I do have less tired days now and then. Hope you can get help for your fatigue. Best wishes 💕

My fatigue has been horrible for the last three months!

My lab work is also normal, then again most of my tests com back normal so its not a lot of help!

Feel better soon

I always seem to fall asleep early afternoon. Usually I'm okay in the morning, then after lunch it hits me and I'm useless for a couple of hours; can barely keep my eyes open. Then I wake up again and feel fine through the evening. Weird. If I have work to do I know my best chance is to do it in the morning and evening and forget about the afternoons.

I hate to say it, but exercise. I did a lot of cycling over the summer, and would try to do it as that time of day and it would get me through it. And after a while I stopped feeling tired at all. Now it's winter I'm struggling again.

Seem to be getting a longer sleep at night a couple around 10 hour's and 8 and a half lastnight in the day i feel like an extra from night of the living dead lol trying to imagine fall asleep on the washing line tiredness does that mean your hanging in your sleep ☺☺

DEmberton is right. When I was first diagnosed I was falling asleep on my drive home. Falling asleep in the doctors waiting for my appointments. as soon as I sat down, I was dosing off. It's horrible.

I thought If I can improve my fitness then surely I will have more energy, or at least use the little energy more efficiently.

I dusted my dads bike off and went for a ride. started with 3-4 miles at a time, as thats all I could handle, then coming in for a nap. Soon I was riding 10 miles (Double figures was exciting!) But I did find a massive improvement, I could go a day without napping, and didn't have to pull over whilst driving for a nap!

In the middle of last summer I did my first 100 miles. Back in the days where I couldn't drive 20 miles without needing a nap, if you had told me I would be riding 100 miles 2 years later, I would have laughed in your face and told you where to go.

But if you have the time and the energy to do some exercise, always do it. I still have bad days, I still need naps every so often, and any strenuous exercise takes it out of me, I can't sprint or lift weights, but slow steady exercise has helped me no end!

Keep us updated with your progress on this! :)

It just means that I could sleep literally anywhere! [emoji5] standing up, walking, or on a washing line!
