Have had bowel issues for several years, but Crohns or Colitis had never come under consideration. Was unwell over the Xmas/New year period 2017/18 and suffered a heart attack on 16th January. Have since been diagnosed with Crohns (although because of medications I am on from the heart attack a full investigation of my condition has not been possible, so we are unsure if it is Crohns disease or Colitis, but being treated for Crohns), on reflection, it is possible a Crohn's flare up brought on the heart attack. Still trying to find the right drug treatment for my condition, started on Anzathioprine, however blood tests showed an abnormal liver condition, so as soon as liver returns to normal will go to plan B. (possibly M6). At 68 years of age, have been told I am pretty old to have these problems.

Welcome. I hope they can get a diagnosis and find the right medication for you soon and you can go into remission. Let us know how you are doing.

Don't quote me, but I THINK the older you are when diagnosed the milder

/ less serious the disease is.I'm sure someone will put me right if need be.It's unfortunate to say the least, that a heart attack and treatment,is stopping you being treated for crohns.I really hope you begin to get results and to feel better soon. Please let us know how things go.I found your post interesting and there will be others that your post will help.
