The last rib on my left side has now been hurting for 3-4 weeks, the pain feels almost like one of my organs is like dislocated feels so weird, I dunno kinda indescribable and just hurts, but part of the bone itself does hurt too a little. If I walk it really aches a lot and I can't do so for a long period of time. No injuries, don't exercise besides walking, could it be something Crohn's related? I had Pancreatitis right after surgery, but don't know if those symtoms match. My back doesn't hurt, just front and side bottom rib.

Since full recovery from my resection I have stayed 98 pounds (about a year.) but 3 weeks ago weighed 93, then weighed in yesterday at only 87
: O... Again, no exercise. Actually even less exercise cause I decided to stop having sex with my friend a few weeks back.

So I don't even know what to ask my doctor to test me for, or if I should get scanned and what scan. Or maybe if it's a muscle that got strained?

So confused!

Current medications if deemed necessary: Remicade (8 weeks) Lo Loesterin, Intuniv, Fluoxetine/Prozac (recent, 2 weeks ago) and I do not take ANY vitamins or supplements. Stopped taking folic acid, everything for the past 4-5 months I haven't taken any. Just cause hate 20+ pills a day.

My daughter had something like that and it turned out to be her ribs and the cartilidge (?) in between.

Call your Dr. Will prob get peace of mind.

I used to live in Kirkland Wa. Now in Texas and LOVE the heat!! How do you like it?

Thanks, I see him on Friday and will mention that as an idea. How did they alleviate it for your daughter?

I love Washington! Born and raised Pierce CO. Never been to Texas (let alone left the NW, hehe ;) but Texas seems fun for sure, glad you're enjoying it!

Sounds like costochondritis--Cartilage inflammation that connects the rib to the sternum. It usually goes away on its own, but definitely have it checked by your doctor to make sure it is nothing else. NSAIDS like Advil or Aleve are typically used to ease pain.

DoH!! What was I thinking! I know that the hard way as well!! I was giving information that I would tell a family member, not EVEN thinking about this forum in particular.

Sheesh!! A few months of being healthy and all I have learned has gone out the window... :)

That sounds like what tots explained her daughter had! Good that it usually goes away, think I'll still get a scan though in case something else is not playing nice.

I never noticed issues with NSAID's but I can deal with it until Friday anyway : )

My doctor said it sounds like a ulcer in my stomach, but won't know until I start taking this medication for awhile.

No idea bout my rib :/ it still hurts real bad, maybe I just hurt myself somehow, dog jumped on me or something, I dunno.
