I'm having a bit of a dilemma & wondered if anyone could offer advice please?
I had a resection at 17 (i'm now 31) - following this I was fine for 11 years, ate what i wanted, no problems, no pain & no meds. In year 10 of that 11 years i started a 'healthy' eating plan (diet!) & lost 4.5 stone through diet & exercise. At year 11 I collapsed at work, woke up surrounded by blood & a long saga of hospitals & tests later they concluded it was probably something to do with my crohns. I think i caused this problem by eating what normal people deem healthy foods i.e. nuts, whole wheats, veg, fruit etc
I've been on Pentasa for 2 years now & have lived on white bread & soft stuff - but i now think the white bread could be causing a problem so i want to find alternative things to eat. I was wondering what other people in the UK tend to eat on a normal day?
Today I plan to eat rice crispies & soya milk for breakfast, i have cous cous avacado beetroot olives chicken feta & salad cream for lunch & will either have soup or fish for dinner with maybe a yoghurt thrown in. I know i'm very limited & try to stick to low residue - but perhaps there are foods im avoiding unecessarily? Any advice appreciated.
Thanks
