What is YOUR weather like today??

Crohn's Disease Forum

Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

It was a very nice summer day yesterday, the kind of day to hang out on the deck. Then last night we had a potent thunderstorm where the night was lit up like day by steady lightning with a lot of rain. Today there is a noticeable chill in the air, brisk northwesterlys wth passing showers. 18C. Glad I took advantage of the good weather, its an indoor day today.

Sunny this afternoon. Not been out just pottered about the house. Now watching footie on the telly. Loving the sound engineers playing crowd noises in empty stadiums. I admire when the get the fake crowd screaming exactly as goals are scored. Quite funny really. Mind watching without crowd noise is peculiar. I've also been watching the reruns of the Euro footie and the Olympics from previous years. Hope i live till next year, i want to see the footie and olympics for real.

Oh, Dianne we hope you live much, much longer me darlin'.....you seem to have the right attitude I must say.We none of us know when our time will come but let's hope for a speedy painless passing, with a contented smile on our lips..
17c with light showers....a reading afternoon with the odd chocolate and maybe a nap...

Cool mornings but sunny days ,tho that is about to change with rain forecast for the next three days. Might go and visit one of the local zoos tomorrow just for something different. The animals are exotic and not natives. Most are endangered and involved in breeding programs. They have been doing it tough during covid so my entrance money and a donation will probably help. Ron.

It's hot here today, 29c and still muggy. A buddy of mine saw me at the post office and asked if I would like to come and see his new body shop. I can't work like that much anymore, however I'm happy to go hang out and offer a few jokes and to be the gopher. It's a nice big shop, man I miss being in the shop real bad.

Can't think of a nicer place to go than the zoo Ron.Our zoos have been very close to shut down due to not being able to feed the animals.Luckily the public donated cash and food to keep them going until opening time. Most of the animals would have had to be destroyed.Things we would never have thought about have suffered due to Covid…..Chris,hope you enjoy your time "helping out" at your mates.

17c sunny morning and overcast afternoon. We've been down the coast on the bikes but I'll spare you the whinging about the crowds..... it was pretty bad though......grrrrr

Its been cool the past few days, I moved three more loads of firewood yesterday and there was not one deer or horsefly. These are dying out now for the season and the mosquitos while nasty have also lost some of their energy. 17C and expecting more rain, a little too much we could use some regular summer beach weather to dry things up.

Welcome to my world Chris. Still waiting to go to the zoo Carol. The weather has turned a bit ordinary with cold winds and showers. Forecast for the next couple of days is 16c-17c with rain increasing with some heavy falls possible along the whole east coast. Covid is showing no signs of going away any time soon.Ron.

Please say more about the glorious 34C weather. I am jealous. I put all my winter clothes away as we had such a good spring. Omg, i said it was our summer. Seems i'm not wrong. Very white skies early this morning, one patch is slightly yellow. I suspect that's all we'll know of a warmer sunny day. I have seen lots of leaves starting to fall. Don't know if others in the Uk have noticed for around 10 years now our autumn is creeping in earlier. Maybe we did just have summer?! I think actually the cloud cover is supposed to break up and we might see the sun and it's glorious brightness that cheers us all up.

Went to scan. the hospital has nothing but strewn face masks surrounding it and all roads leading away from it. Got a good mind to get Greta along to hound them! It's unforgivably bad.

Some folk are really disgusting Di. and stupid. Those that dispose of masks willy-nilly have obviously got no idea WHY they're wearing them and are wearing them for show only.
15c and showery.Waiting for a call back from IBD nurse.Supposedly lunch time but maybe she's having a late one (2-20PM NOW ).Not complaining though, just glad she's there at all

I'm jealous of your weather Chris, last night I had to light the wood furnace after a dull cold day that never went above 15C. While this summer is closer to normal it seems our summers are getting wetter and colder. We need some benneficial warm summer like weather to dry things up or else the mold and rot will become an issue once again.

Didn't i tell you, Carol, you might be sent an appointment time but it's always going to keep you waiting forever. Nothings changed. My onc phoned me last time 2hours 20 minutes late! They just want to know that you're staying in, that's why they do it i'm sure.

I'm having a really tough time. My neighbour is too unhelpful in his helpful ways. I call him 'bodged job' John. This is the last time i let him do something for me. Why are there such incompetent men on the planet. It's stressful and depressing that he's interfered and i let him. I didn't have his view on my bird/water feature that i set up. It's nothing like the one i'd put together myself (spending £50) now it's completely different, the change is awful. Trouble is he's costing me in trying this and trying that but i knew what i wanted and now it's absolutely nothing like. He not only breaks stuff in the process but is stupid enough to just down his saw on my decking and a brand new garden bench i bought in spring! He's a disaster whenever he offers to do something. Oh nightmares! I think i need to move.

There's a name for guys like that, Di. We call them a "hack." Usually the only tools they own are a hammer and a hacksaw... and they probably have the blade on backwards too! There's one local idiot here who sat on a shelf and he sawed the end off that he was sitting on... That guy is seriously a member of Mensa... No kidding!!! It's another copycat of yesterday here with the high being 33c.

Ah, you have one of those, Chris. I can rest assured that John next door does not belong to mensa, rofl. He's the sort of bloke who when fixing a vehicle he takes you out in it to see how well it works but is so heavy handed that he actual disengages the gearstick, thus costing more and another day without use. Yes, it costs ME to fix it. I was well pleased one day when he was dressed up so smart one evening, got in his car and disengaged his own gearstick, thus having to use wifes car. I can believe your 'nutty' or 'absent minded professor' type belonging to mensa

Actually sunny out this morning. I shall do a tad in the garden, but feel inspired to create a modern art pic today, perhaps a little Joan Miro, or Kandinsky. I also have to await that dreaded scan result phone consultation today. Arrgghh!!! I'm scared. They can only say what i suspect... It has got worse., I'll just keep that in mind as it's the reason i asked for one, so i can't expect a good result. Hopefully doing right brain stuff will occupy my mind with complete abstraction rather than emotional. I could go very modern here and do the blacked out canvas representing a gloomy outlook (our weather is sunny out)

Stay safe everyone and enjoy whatever it is you're doing.

He phoned early and caught me off guard. I have cancerous lymph nodes over my abdomen and pelvic region. Doesn't seem as though they want to do anything more for me yet. Oooops, guess i get stronger painkillers for a while.

It has been sunny and nice enough but i do have to admit i hate these days when i have my cancer spoken to me by the oncologist. Think i'll phone my McMillan nurse tomorrow. I can speak to her very easily but i can't relate to the male onc on the phone.

Hope Les is doing well, carol.

The weather is a little cooler today with the high being around 27c. Big hugs to you, Diane. I'm always here if you want to vent, please do hit me up if you need someone to talk to. I really like you and would lend you an ear. I wish everyone the best... And yeah, the guy I was talking about... He really is a member of Mensa... Don't ask me how...

We have had some rain and a fair bit of wind. Another east coast low is starting to spin up off the NSW coast.
I am very sorry about your scan results Di. I don't like it when the lymph nodes start to get involved. I had six cancerous nodes but colon cancer is a bit different. They remove the cancer in a field with clear margins on each side or the cancer but the field they remove includes all of the flange which supplies blood and has all of the regional lymph nodes relating to that part of the colon. There were 13 nodes in my field and six were cancerous. They did not know if the cancer had entered the area where the flange is attached to the body. There is a lot of fatty tissue and cancer is very difficult to pick up in the fatty tissue. I had to wait seven years to be cleared. From my experience there is two main treatments for cancerous nodes., surgery or radiation. I hope they move quickly and offer one of those options. All of my love and support, Ron.

It's another autumnal day outside. Sincerely hope we have sunny weather in August. This summer has been awful so far. I so wish everything would get back to normal. None of my friends are going out anywhere so i'm still stuffed at home on my own. I'm going to challenge the horrendous bine stem again. It runs right across my garden and neighbours. The brambles are just as bad too.

thanks for all the support. They have no intentions of doing anything more for the time being. At this rate i might as well attempt a trip to Pompeii and Herculanium. I know, it's risky but i don't know how long i've got without too much pain.

I wish I could reach through the screen and give you a big hug Diane, life sometimes is more about misery than anything else. We have a few of those people who believe they are masters of all trades, but none. There's the guy down the road who was offered a new build, but decided it was too much and bought a new mobile home to save a few dollars or so he thinks. He also turned down installation because he wanted to save money. Its taken him over a month to set the place up, balancing the structure upon on what looks like lego toy blocks, and the sewer pipe was pieced together with old used pipe of different sizes. As the saying goes the cheapest installation always ends up being the most expensive one as time goes on. He still cannot live in the place, if he paid for proper installation he would have moved in the following day it was delivered.

yeah, i'm so fucked off now. Phoned gp for prescription. They wanted me to chat with my own gp, but he has never once written a prescription in 5 years here. I have to lie to reception and tell them i have a female issue to see a diff doc. I told them that today and they went mental at me. I mean it's not my fault he won't prescribe. He refused me a stool test sample kit. That was the day that i learned to buy meds online. I bought Metronidazole (flagyl) and it worked after a couple of weeks. I complained about a pressure that i've had in my head for a few years and he told me to ignore it and focus on my ovarian cancer. My aunt keeled over in the street with 3 brain tumours related to hers. Of course it can go to the brain. Other ovarian cancer women do have it there. I just can't persuade the NHS to do a head scan. I have got an appointment with a female gp on Monday, but hell the anger flying my way is stupid. I should have complained before. Other patients also have this problem. If they don't play fair now, i'm going to contact GMC, Minister of Health, and the Pakistani equivalent, and omg, they are desperate for a new practice. Think i might do my Greta 'Notmuchfunberg' and protest outside town planning. A gp who never prescribes is no gp at all.

I'm having a bad 'phase'. Tomorrow exists and so will i.

Stay safe all.

You have every right let em have it!! I wish I could have been there to stick up for you, Di. I would have yelled so loud that they would have jumped for cover and slammed the door on them too. I know I would get arrested, however, it just makes me pissed to see anyone dressed down like that in a hospital setting. I'm so sorry that you are having such a rough time. XX

Our weather is mixed sun and cloud. The current situation is 24c with intermittent rain showers forecast all afternoon and evening. We need more rain.

We had some more light rain overnight but no where near enough to help winter crops or those relying on tank water. It is very sobering to see more wildfires and 30c+ temps in Siberia.
Di if the medical system cannot offer anything else they really should be obliged to offer you the best quality of life available with modern medicines, I think that with the world wide covid crisis al lot of doctors have given up and stuck their heads in the sand. You deserve better, hugs Ron.

Out of the fridge and into the oven describes the weather over the past 24 hours. Yesterday was mediocre, not quite warm enough to sit out on the deck, then during the middle of the night I reached for the air conditioner. The morning is hot today, a nice break from the damp and cool conditions, very humid high 20's. I feel for you DI, the public healthcare system can be stubborn. Going back before my present GP I had to wait over 10 years to get a new GP after my old one retired. Waiting around in the walk in clinics for hours when in flare mode was excruciating, there's got to be a better way to deliver health care instead of leaving out patients in need.

I do envy your temps, Chris. Actually i awoke to sunshine today. Looks nice enough out though still wet from all the showers lately. the grounds need it very much and things are now looking a little greener rather than of recent. I have a load of pitholes in my lawn as the badgers can dig deeper. Omg, my lawn, lol. We should have been watching the olympics now. I really am missing live sports events, this is one of the really sad things about this pandemic, everything has been cancelled.

I expect we've all noticed the uptick in new cases. I'm really worried, i mean with all those protesters mingling amongst each other, it will be in every part of each country again. What with the riots in the US i can't see their numbers dropping any time soon. I am now as worried as governments about a winter flare up of this. It's such a bad thing for the economy and work.

Stay safe everyone.

Warm and muggy, I spent the afternoon out on the deck and may do the same today. It may break the 30C mark, but well see. 2 liters of gatorade Chris, that would be enough to kill me by the sugar volume. By the numbers it would appear that there is no stopping this second global wave, I too wonder what things will be like when winter comes.

We're under an extreme heat advisory for our region, as the temperatures will rise into the high 30's C for the next week or so. I'm doing my best to find small outside jobs in the morning and knocking them off the list... Such is life. I mix my Gatorade weak, Buff... I find it too sweet otherwise. ;)

Wow, there are some strong gusts of wind out there today. It's also cold and with that awful drizzle most the time aside from the heavier downpours. Very Autumnal.

Spoke with a lady gp this morning. she specialises in cancer and palliative care. We chatted very easily and with no problems and she is having the prescription sent to the post office. I tell you, God on reception does everything to keep everything flowing how they want it flowing. I don't know why they get so stroppy if we mention a gp who refuses to prescribe. anyway, i feel much better about that.

Guess who had two hissing hedgepigs last night? I was delighted. Haven't seen one in ages, now i've got two. I think i shall start putting the food out again for them.

Stay safe all.

Cool nights and days getting a little warmer. Howling westerly wind. Things are pretty quiet up here. Covid is giving Victoria a hard time at the moment. A lot of people are not following the rules. They are getting tests done then going out everywhere before they get the results. Clowns.Ron.

Di., I'm so happy that you found a sympathetic ear at last.Did you make a note of her name so that you can get in touch with her in the future ?
The Mirror reported today that your neck of the woods had a tornado yesterday ?
Siberia is having unprecedented heat waves and forest fires....It does make you wonder what next.
17c and rainy today but the south is expecting 30c+ by the weekend. Please let the North East be overlooked.
After allowing the Uk to enter Spain on holiday last week the government have decided that owing to a rise in Spain of covid, our happy holiday makers will have to self isolate for 2wks on their return.estimated 60,000 people. Not forgetting those who have already booked for the next few weeks. They will have to get in line to get refunds....again.

It was a hot one yesterday reaching 32C, which by late afternoon had me seeking refuge with the airconditioner. A good do nothing day listening to Simon and Garfunkle out on the deck. It threatened a storm, but held off before it became an angry rage in the distant east while the sunshine basked. Today its cooler, and I'll get some things done later.

Cool and damp again, the weekend a distant memory. People are not helping, down in Brampton there was a house party with over 200 in attendance, it became out of control and ended when gunfire erupted. More billions being handed out freely by the government, its getting out of hand from all corners. All it would take now would be a break in the food supply networks and the thin layer of civility would be broken.

It's 33c in the shade and rising as I type this. I went out to do some watering and I feel like I ran a bloody marathon. I heard about the house party,Buff. Apparently there was a $100,000 ticket given to the home owner. I hope they give out a few more, maybe it would make a real example of the consequences of behaving like an idiot. People seem to understand they've done wrong when you hit them in the pocketbook like that, no matter the age... How do you like them apples?!!

Cool and dry today. same for the rest of the week. Yes people can really be thick. This idea of "" I am not really sick"" is killing a lot of aged people in aged care. We have outbreaks in aged care homes all over Victoria, some are from staff working in several homes during their weekly chores and spreading disease as well as sick relatives visiting older relations. We are losing around 6 people a day in aged care establishments. Ron.

I also think that they are not being fully honest about the numbers. Canada has been patting itself on its back for keeping the numbers down, but when one accounts for the fact that the USA has a population ten times greater, we are not that much better off in terms of keeping the infection rate down in terms of rates per 100,000 people.
Cool, damp and plain dreary today 17C. Send some of that heat our way if you can spare any Chris.

Still cool windy but fine and sunny. There are some alarming signs for spring and summer with parts of the Northern territory and north Queensland putting several areas on alert for severe high fire danger. As far as covid goes parts of Australia mainly Victoria and NSW have turned into train wrecks very quickly. we have an outbreak in southern Qld with two young women who travelled to Victoria and NSW then returned to Qld giving false details, names and addresses and visiting quite a few venues in south Qld before being diagnosed with covid. It is believed that they will face criminal charges. We are starting to realise the situation of super spreaders existing with covid. The entire outbreak currently in NSW is suspected to have come from one super spreader. Ron.

I hear Australia has an uptick in its numbers, Ron. Cannot believe younger ones give false name and addresses just to get away with travelling. Why do the idiots do it? Honestly, if all played sensible we could control this better. I think this goes to show that people don't really care if they get it or not. The protests and beach goers are so irresponsible i'm sure this will go on until next bloody spring!

Well, the sun is out at last and it's warming up nicely. Going to give the winter woollies another wash and dry and hope to put them away finally this summer. Might just top up the tan today, get some of that D3 stuff from that thing in the sky.

Stay safe everyone.

Hi All
I am with you Buff on that one the pandemic seems to be on the rise in Europe i think i will give holidays anywhere a miss this year.
What happened about the shark that was supposed to be in the Thames?
The weather here in Darwen is warm muggy & fine rain.
Take care everyone.

It was a warm but very windy day. The forecasters are saying that we can probably expect much warmer and wetter weather from now on. I spent the day at the zoo. The tracks were very rough but I had to take my wheelie walker. I would not have gotten around without it. I enjoyed the company of the animals and it was nice to see the reactions the little children had to them. Ron.

I love seeing safari parks and zoos too, Ron. The places generally have a good family day out atmosphere, and yes, it's lovely to see the animals. Talking of animals, i watched a badger trot past my lounge window the other night. He was casually minding his own business whilst looking for morsels to forage on. the lawn looks a lot worse with their digging marks after the rain, they are digging deeper., Haven't seen sight nor sound of badgers or hedgies in the garden.

The weather appears better today, with sunshine and temperatures near normal. Yesterday I moved more wood. I cannot believe I cut as much wood as I did in that short time back in the spring. Moving it and stacking it proves to take an awful lot longer, but I am somewhat ahead with the piling effort, which is a bennefit in case I start flaring. The spread of covid has me concerned, many young people have been purposely spreading the disease as if it were a game. There have been cases where they gather and party together with a known carrier.

Winds have swung to the SE which means slightly warmer but wetter. Great white bit another surfer in WA today. It was a 5 meter shark and it bit his surf board in two. Lucky for him he was thrown off and his mates got him to shore with non life threatening injuries. Covid is running wild in Victoria. They did a check of those supposedly in Quarantine at home with the virus, Over 25% that they checked were not at home. We are doomed to die of stupidity. Ron.

It's 39c here, it might as well be Death Valley. Too hot for my liking. I saw people leave the beach at 1:30 pm... they couldn't even tan in this heat. Tourists, you can go behave or go home. There have been expensive cars being keyed around here by angry locals... Two wrongs don't make a right, but our Premier suggested tourists not to drive their cars if they were worried. I had a good laugh, as did others... ;)

Carol the evenings are stretching out now and growing as the daylight recedes. I too enjoy the longer evenings as we go into fall, but summer is nice too when the weather cooperates. Not today, with the wet weather ahead of another cold front. Yesterday was a dandy summer day, and took it all in knowing good things don't last long.

I found it too hot as well yesterday we swing from one extreme to another.
I like Spring & Autumn not too hot & not to cold the truth is we are never satisfied.
The beaches were packed again yesterday.
The rules in Lancashire have changed again today just shut the pubs and have done with it.
Take Care Everyone😷

Sunny again today. Yesterday was lovely and i did nip out just to celebrate the official release of vulnerables. They are now talking about all over 50's being risk assessed and told to continue isolating. Can't stand our govts handling of this. I just need a break in life, this covid is stressful (and to think i put up with all that time at home with crohns, i can't believe i'm complaining about covid!

Can't believe it's August. I noticed the evenings are getting slightly darker, all the school stuffs are in the stores, xmas stuff will follow in September (did i honestly mention that?) and this year will have been non existent.

Right, i'm off for a little drive out only, no stopping but it's nice.

Apparently we are fast tracking towards spring. SE trade winds and showers. We do need some rain. . I know what you mean Di. It won't be long before I reach the first anniversary of my retirement. About the only plus to that is that I am still alive. It is very sad that the world has divided into two groups. The young who don't seem to care and the elderly who will have little chance if the young don't care. They are rioting in Germany now because their rights are being violated. The scientists are scouring the universe for signs of intelligent life, I think they gave up looking on earth. I think this whole situation is starting to depress me. Ron.

Clear and very fall like with a chilly northeasterly breeze. I went out to get groceries and resupply. It was raining, and with the covid we had to stand outside the stores in line in the rain. Upon returning I realized I had no keys, I had left them locked inside the truck with the keys in the ignition. Fortunately I carry a spare key taped into my wallet.

The rest of the day was the same, pouring rain, the public loos being shuttered in the stores by covid mean't dealing with a full colostomy bag threatening to blow out, outside in the rain in the bushes. I found myself walking off with somebody else's cart twice in the grocery store. Later driving by an accident where a car went down the side of the embankment, not to mention the seagull poop on my windshield. Yes it was one of those days.

Definitely a "senior" day Buff eh? I bet you were glad to get home...…..Another warm day here.Just read on-line that there are plans afoot to
lock up the aged and infirm again and let the young and inconsiderate wander the streets etc. willy-nilly ….good idea......We,the decrepit, will be allowed out once a week to shop etc.

Overcast again. Very wet over in SW WA. We will get some of it later in the week. Temps are rising slightly up here. Stage 4 lockdowns in Melbourne with overnight curfews. Stage 3 in regional Victoria. They have had a lot of daily cases in Vic, up to 700-800 a day with an average of around 9 deaths a day. Everyone holding their breath waiting to see what happens. Ron.

I can't believe six months have passed already, I have a birthday this Saturday oh joy my family won't be able to visit.
I think we should cancel this year and try again in January.
I too have read that over 50s may have to stay home if they have Diabetes, Heart disease.
What pisses me off is i still have to have a work capability assesment over the phone to keep my benefits.
I dont think the Government know what they are doing.
I am going out with my bubble friend tomorrow with the mask on show.
Keep Safe Everyone Val🤣

Sunny but windy. shame i've done all my washing really.
Went out yesterday and no queues to get in to Tesco superstore and only one person ahead of me in the checkout queue. I had a good wander around as it wasn't really busy. Was nice to have a leisurely browse. Bought myself a blouse and a house plant to cheer myself up.

warming , tho Victoria has snow down to 500 meters . Rain expected here on Thursday. I know what you mean Buff ,I am having real problems with the pain from neuropathy , burning more than pain. It is interfering with my sleep. I tend to get more sleep watching tv . Ron.

13c and dreary...can't believe it's going to be up in the 3os at the weekend''''
I find that even when I'm having a bad day I try to do a few little jobs just in case I feel worse tomorrow. I like to be under the weather in peace rather than worry about I should be doing....Nuts I know.
Chris.....stay cool !

14C partly cloudy. I put the fire on last evening to take the chill off, and it went down into the single digits during the night. We too are expecting some summer conditions by the weekend into the upper 20's. Carol, I came to the conclusion shortly after taking retirement that I wouldn't stress myself over getting things done. With the exception of the firewood effort, nothing else is that important and it can all wait, and maybe for so long that its no longer important. I pay more attention to what my body wants, and sometimes I fear that it is the grave.

Not cold out, but light showers and a breeze. somewhat overcast today. I'm looking forwards to our African heatwave at the end of the week.

I still stress over getting things done. I have no idea why i'm so addicted to my to do list, and i never get through it. I just seem to be unsympathetic to my health. I should respect it more i think.

Will do.I expect to lose power hopefully that’s all.

The weathers been so odd today. Its been cloudy all day low 80’s.About an hour ago it got really sunny. Then it got real dark and now the winds are picking up.

Take care Tubes, It is shifting between Cat 1 and tropical storm. It is the tornadoes it may spawn the[at scare me...... We have 27c today ,it looks like summer is over for us. It is crazy southern NSW ,Victoria and Tasmania have all had plenty of snow. Their winds are south/southwest whilst ours are from the north bring in tropical heat. We are expecting some heavy rain on Thursday and Friday. I went to the doctors today. Nothing inspiring happened there. Ron.

Thanks Ron.We got zero rainfall. The winds got up to 45mph but all turned out good.About 2 years ago my city removed all the trees on my street which was a good thing cause I went for a ride this morning to pick up some breakfast and maybe 10 minutes from my house trees were down as were some power lines. But lucky my neighborhood was largely unaffected.

Today is gonna be in the 90’s and they are expecting 25mph winds.

Nowhere near as good as they had suggested, but no rain so far. Tomorrow and Friday should be blazing, up to 35C. I'd be happy with winter temps at 27C ron. But it doesn't sound like a cool winter at all to me. Carol has a couple of days to build the earth sheltered dwelling for a constant temperature.

I've noticed the badger has used just the one spot on my lawn as his toilet. Well, like cats they dig a hole. They don't bury it and it's almost a mile high now. I don't like it! the little bugger.

Large fronts sweeping the country from west to east. Very cold down south with lots of rain and snow. Large thunderstorms over alice springs and the rock, storms in the simpson desert and Birdsville. Some of the east coast is expecting up to 200 mm in the next couple of days and yet another east coast low is expected to form. We are expecting some rain tonight and tomorrow. On covid, Melbourne is in stage 4 lockdown and the rest of Vic in stage 3. Queensland has once more closed its borders. our second wave has been way worse than the first with over 700 new cases in Vic yesterday.Ron.

We had another day at 27c unlike the southern states. It could be a very warm spring coming. I have noticed on the news that Greece and Spain as well as California have had wildfires. I hope it is not a bad omen for us. Ron.

warm here but bearable if I don't move around much......In the high 30s in the south and according to pics in daily paper it's absolute chaos on the roads and beaches down there....People are too close and apart from the virus egg sandwiches will be crunchy with sand...…..that's what we had as kids for pic-nics at the beach, and a bag of chips on the way home.

I'm in the spam again! Mind, i have an excuse for not being on here. It's lovely weather! I'm so pleased i don't live in Bude any longer. I can't imagine what the tourists are like. I probably wouldn't have ventured out at all. As it is the village is far quieter than during lockdown. The numbers going past my place has positively dwindled. They don't seem to have gone back to work either. People's behaviour is really strange. Our beaches have been packed and people getting stressed in their vehicles as they queue in their cars to get to a beach. Really silly. Right, back out to the sun for me. Got to appreciate it whilst we have it. Stay safe all.
