A bit blowy today. Hey that telephone pole looks a bit unsaf..........................................................................

Well, here I am, possibly the first that's going to experience the storm from the Mexican Gulf. Very windy at the moment and have challenged the supermarket along with everyone else who all admit, the same as me, we are prepping! so bring on the storm of st jude! I sincerely hope my house, built like a flat pack from ikea, will last the next 24 hours.

i'm wishing the best of luck to the rest of you in this storms path, and a mention for those who are on the continent and in the same path that will receive it tomorrow. That's the Scandinavians and the French too.

Good luck us!!! hold on to the loo sides and prepare for great wind.

Coldish, breezy sun and showers.........but managed a walk in the woods today ( at one of the National Trust properties ),which was really lovely. We're members,so that makes us part owners.I hope our trees will be OK !!!.......Be safe everyone, joking aside.

No doubt the dog felt good walking in his posh property woodlands no matter what the weather.

He's far too interested in his ball Diane and doesn't appreciate the beauty of nature one little bit !!! Having said that,he lost ANOTHER ball today. He put it down while having a sniff at something wonderful, and it disappeared in the leaves.I think the fairies took it,although I wouldn't know WHY,it was in a bit of a state to say the least.:ylol2:

Well, the storm expected never really materialised for us her on the north coast of Cornwall. most that happened was my very old rotary line broke, but it was rather rusted through at the bottom.

Good luck all in the path of the storm on the continent.

Lovely day up here. Not a breathe of wind until mid afternoon, and a short shower.I think they sometimes go over the top after the 1987 debacle, but I believe some have had it bad.

yes, slightly ott weather forecasting

It certainly was - not least as it took me 2 1/2 hours to get to work and over 3 to get home. Shocking really - just get on with it! I knew it was OTT when I switched the local radio on at 6am and the reporter said 'I can see a wheelie bin that has been blown over'.

Really nice day,not a cloud in the sky............Whoever started the rumour it was grim "Up North" wasn't talking about the weather.

Whether the weather be cold
Or whether the weather be hot
Whatever the weather
We'll weather the weather
Whether it's cold or not.

Sunny,breezy,chilly here today.:)

Think we're in for high winds again. not exactly St Jude, but then the Storm of St Jude wasn't exactly quite what they had predicted. We all did our prepping and felt silly.

Unfortunately, YES !!! But the good thing about us ageing together is,when it's cold and wet,he likes to get home asap.,and I'm not going to argue with him hahaha. It would be cruel to keep the poor old soul out at his (my) age.Having said that,it's almost time for walk no.3.Hubby does the last two toilet visits (out the back) so I can get my PJs on early.Keep warm D.

perhaps your next model should be a cat. they walk themselves, but not much in this weather. They seem to sit this side of the catflap and stare at me, I think they expect me to switch the wind and rain off. Then, when they realise I can't do that they go to the front door and expect it to be opened to reveal better weather!

when all else fails they use the litter tray. I haven't trained them to use my loo as I don't fancy sharing it! It's definitely MINE.

Oh, if only we COULD change the weather. It made me smile, imagining your cats at the front door. Lovely and sunny here, but cold and blustery too.I've put the winter duvet on,and hubby's got his long winter underwear on,so I declare.........Winter IS here !!!

Watched the Australians and Fijians playing in the rugby league world cup. Blowing a gale , Pouring rain and single figure temps. No wonder they all looked like they would rather be home.:} Ron.

Ron, were you watching it with a few beers though. did the Crohns allow it?

Actually sunny and no wind today. Tomorrow we're British again. Heavy rain all day. nothing new there then.

No can't drink ,just had parainfluenza. Four lots of anti-biots. They have knocked me off the tightrope and I'm spending a lot of time in the loo. Spent some time in hospital ,with everything going on they found troponin (heart attack enzyme) in my blood. Go back to the heart clinic thurs and Tuesday next week into hospital for a colonoscopy, including the prep and a day after for observation. They better not make me miss any games :). Ron.

Not too bad.Been for a tramp in the country.Filled my lungs with good fresh air.Have to make the most of it while we can.........Boots are covered in sheep muck if anybody cares.hahaha.( or baabaabaa )

Dull and gloomy. Am really getting severely depressed despite the D3 with k2. Anyone have problems with magnesium making the big D worse? I suddenly can't take it. But I got super strong b vits.

Had the storm from hell yesterday, widespread hail the size of tennis balls. Lots of car and roof tile damage . The police at Maroocyhdore received new patrol cars during the week ,front and rear windows smashed in all of them. Out on the highway they thought there had been a major accident . Four cars and a caravan were totalled by hail. Several of the occupants had to be treated for shrapnel like wounds. There were holes right thru the car roofs, I only had small hail but at one stage it looked like snow , Ron.

DougUte said merry Christmas when he saw the snow out the window this morning, but definitely not three feet out there.

@Ron50, stay safe, please. I'm wondering if anyone there has uploaded on youtube. I'm sorry to say but I love to take note of the weird type of weather the world is sprouting forth on one and all.

Tis a white sky again, cold and getting colder. No chance of seeing ISON yet.

I'm not going to gloat, especially after the last few posts. The temp.IS going to drop mid-week though. Please keep safe and warm, weather friends.

My thoughts are with all those in USA and worldwide, who are suffering the aftermath of ferocious weather. We in the UK have nothing to moan about in comparison.(but we will,we're known for it).

Carol, you are so funny, but it's true. Moan, moan, moan, moan, moan. Nothing to moan about at all really. How much bad weather do we need to moan about when all we really need is a nice warm loo?

White skies, again (moan), miserably wet and cold. But i'm ok and thinking of all of you in areas where your loo's have just blown away by megastorms. Really thinking of you.
Take care if you're in those areas the world over.

Seems like in Melbourne we always get all the seasons in one day. It was raining this morning, but sunny yet windy in the afternoon, then freezing and still overnight.

Figures...

sunny but cold, but I also saw news on youtube that American towns/cities are having record low temperatures. Good luck and stay warm and as well as you can.

Lovely day here.11c and sunny.Forcast say we can expect -20c (north)for up to 8wks,sometime soon.But they're not always right,so here's hoping.

Hotties at the ready,Diane !!!
