Wanting desperately to see comet Ison!!! anyone seeing it please take pics and upload if possible, British weather is as crap as my health,as gloomy as my loo and as boring as my Crohns.

Gosh, I would love to visit Costa Rica again (not just for the weather, for everything!)

It's overcast, gray, and not as cold as it could be (45 degrees F) in New York City.

Blizzard coming this afternoon. Over 30 cm of snow for the next 24 hours. I'm going to cocoon today.

This country grinds to a halt if there's 3cm on the roads.

Us Brits have NOTHING to complain about weather-wise,but we do,we're Brits..:ylol2:..........keep safe and warm !!!

sunny and a "warm" 3C----balmy for this time of year but I have no doubt there will be changes in the near future!

According to the Mirror "there may be trouble ahead" so batten down the hatches and stoke the boilers before Thursday........Let's hope they're exaggerating !!!

Oh my gosh! I had seen the cutest lined wellies yesterday. Just below the knee - built to stomp through the snow with faux fur peeking out the tops. Rugged but darling ;)

35 degrees celcius yesterday, late storms. One or those days when it is so humid you wonder why you didn't wear your swimmers to work and there is not an anti-perspirant made that is going to deal with it. Ron.

Yesterday was a lovely 80 F day. Today, we are below freezing. Its raining ice. Texas does not have the equipment to clear roads of ice, so we are probably stuck inside for a few days

The National Guard has been dispatched to the state of Texas. We have declared a state of emergency.

In all honesty, I am kind of laughing at this. But I guess since we were in a severe drought all summer the trees can't stand against the raining ice and they are expecting a lot of trees to fall down.

Still sunny and warm here. The toucans are happily eating the nuts off the fan palms and dropping them in the pool. Saw two iguanas basking in the early morning sun as well. No birds with frozen legs here! Give me six months and I'll be complaining about the rainy season again.

It got up to 75°F here today (very unusual for WV in early December). 48° now, expected high of 41° tomorrow. Snow with a high of 36° the next day!

We are iced in, at least for today, maybe the rest of the weekend. Most of our trees aren't going to make it through this storm.

Freaky weather the world over these days. We had many garden plants and trees die off with crap weather.

has been cold wet and chilly again today. no ice, no snow, no wind, nothing out of the norm, apart from that 'LIGHT' in the southwestern sky between 6 and 7 pm (northern hemisphere). Anyone else seen it?

erm... do I get an xmas pressie of tickets to down under? I'm so jealous of that weather. Enjoy it Ron.

Our son in OZ was on the phone earlier and apparently the grand kids are wearing woolly beanies. It's probably in the low 20s.I'm ashamed of them.I mean how soft can you get ??? :(

Grey here, but no wind(at least not outside anyway)...8c.

It was sunny and just around 0 Celsius (32 F) today the wind-chill this afternoon made it feel like 23F - cold enough when you are outside and on a ladder part of the time putting up Christmas lights and getting the Christmas tree ready to go in the house

It's starting to look like Christmas out there. We had about a foot of snow in the past twenty four hours. It's supposed to get down to 0° F (About -18°C). Brrrrr again.

First real snow of the winter all day today in Chicago. City didn't respond very well which is odd. Traffic delays, city plowed the streets well but train platforms were unsalted with a layer of snow (VERY dangerous). Took 90 minutes to get somewhere it normally takes me an hour. Tomorrow should be a very sloppy snow day too.

This was my warm weather today and almost everyday. It's been absolutely beneficial to my health.

I'm sending you a hug, Thanks, cos I need to make friends with you. What a lovely place, I'm rather jealous. do you have two loo's there? I'd like to come and stay. Probably the whole of crohns forum need to vacation with you lol.

Like Scottsma yesterday, it's springlike here, but not as glorious as Costa Rica, hint, hint.
My D3 comes in tablet form.

Double figures again today.Had a drive out to the country, but it's a bit sad with the bare trees and hedgerows.Still,we enjoyed a walk and a pic-nic.Got to make the best of it while we can.

I don't know what's worse......slush or frozen slush !!!

Good question...I think the answer depends on the kind of shoes you have on.

ThanksP, may I ask which region of Costa Rica you are in? The country is so lovely (as are its people) and your picture makes me want to return! I've been to Arenal, Monteverde and Manuel Antonio.

Cold and sunny today. The snow from yesterday has completely melted.

I live in the Central Valley, where the weather doesn't require heating or air conditioning...just screens on the windows. We also have a place on the beach in between Manuel Antonio and Jacó. We fell in love with country, it's people, and way of life years ago. We finally decided to make the leap and move here permanently.

I laughed a few weeks back watching the southern hemisphere rugby league players trying to stay warm during one or the rugby league world cup games. They all looked like they wanted to be home. Fast forward to the yesterday. It was day one of the third ashes cricket test between Aust and Eng At the WACA ground in Perth Western Australia. At mid day temperatures were over 43 degrees celcius. Quite a few of the English players looked like they would kill for some mud ,slush and snow.. Ron.

Grey and cool here. Our son in Perth sent a picture of the kids in the pool and him having a cold beer in the shade.44c there today. So I sent him a pic.of our cold, grey, angry North Sea.I'd still rather be here than there though !!!

Minus 15 Celsius (-24 Celsius with the wind chill) (That's about 5F with a -11 F windchill)

About 30 cm (12 inches) of snow on the way tomorrow

RR, what's with the Chinook. Do you have helicopter deliveries of emergency supplies?

Very wet and windy today. Really glum out. No need for a Chinook here mind.

loadsa snow here
it took 600 snow ploughs and 200 sanders to deal with the Toronto snow!....

It's been snowing since early morning, probably about 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) down; -4 Celsius (25F)
Plow went down the road about 10 minutes ago, so it might be time to clear the driveway

Spooky1 - a chinook wind is what blows into Alberta and can change the temperature 40 degrees in a matter of minutes. We can go from - 20 C to + 20 C in 10 minutes. Most of our snow melts or dries up and we get very strong winds - sometimes gusts up to 100 km per hour. We love these when they happen - like a mini spring in the middle of winter.

I thought the weather changed fast in Utah at times! No comparison. Unfortunately, the weather doesn't change much once the winter inversion (trapped air pollution) hits. It is here, and big time. Cough cough, gasp ...
