Can we have a photo please.I need something for the mantelpiece to keep Alfie away from the fire :rof::rof::rof:

It was very warm today, around 87 degrees, and sunny, but we had a light breeze with low humidity. Unfortunately we have a chance of severe thunderstorms overnight Why do they always come in the middle of the night, just to wake us up and keep me from getting good sleep?

Humid and disgustingly dreary, 82 degrees. I wish it would either rain or the sun would just come out. No matter what I do, my hair looks like Weird Al with 20 minutes of going outside.

I keep a loud fan on all night and sometimes the A/c in the window too. It blocks out all that npoise and we sleep good!:)

They were saying gorgeous day and no rain for three days, now chance of rain and storms to ruin me and Louie's picnic! Weather people!

You can have a good time in the rain T.puddle splashing etc.take a brolly and sing, take some bubbles, wash up liquid diluted in a bottle and a plastic bowl and bent wire coat hangers, and summer rain is USUALLY warm. And it's good for your hair and skin, though probably not for your arthritis.Best be safe, and go to the movies

Yes,I remember 1976 Diane,Mind you I was just a babe in arms, but I remember my mum complaining about the heat....(and if you believe that your a very kind person indeed hahaha)

We are going to a park in the mountains. Louie is 20 so I doubt bubbles would excite him now, although you never know!!:ylol2:
It is very humid today!

Dreary at best. Only 67 this morning. Had windows open all night. Looks like rain. Boy the weather men get paid alot for what I can do better by looking out my window!:ylol2:

Amazing weather! Seriously not like being in the UK at all! Is 32 degrees today and glorious sunshine!

Pheeewwww !!!!! starting to think we may have made a mistake going away with the caravan on Wed.We're going inland so won't have the sea-breeze which is making it JUST bearable now. Also a caravan is like a tin box. It'll be like being in a microwave on med/high,without the PING !!!!

Oh, Carol! You poor thing, I got a campervan and yes its hot. But its hot in the house, i'm becoming so dehydrated i'm starting to feel ill. I put wet flannels in freezer bags and take one out at a time. This is used mainly for my joints but i'm using them throughout the day because I can't cool down.

Scotland could turn out to have rubbish weather, but probably not. Enjoy that holiday though, Carol.

its been drizzling since yesterday, high only in the 80's. such a nice break, we need the rain too, the grass is dying and I am sure we are still in water restriction

I thought this "warm" weather would ease your joint pain,Diane.Poor you.Ther's no happy medium is there.? Iv'e got t-towels in the freezer, and Oh ! what a relief.......We are not going to Scotland this time, only to Kielder Forest, less than 2hrs away.Far enough in this heat.

Dana has a gel filled medical wrap in her freezer and I am using it around my neck when I clean here and have to be outside for watering plants, walking Zena, etc....
Love the cold gel!!! AWWEE!:)

We are taking our tent trailer aka pop up trailer on a family reunion camping trip Friday thru Tuesday. It is in the nineties here near the Salt Lake valley this week, but where we are going, a couple of hours away, is at a much higher altitude and should be cooler. Yipee, skipee. The trailer will tend to get a little hot in the day, but we will spend most of the time in the shade of some pine trees and quaking aspen trees visiting with family, fishing, reading or eating. some will hike, but I won't do much. I only have to cook one meal (for about twenty people) and provide lunches for Doug and myself. The rest will be provided. looking forward ...

Just watered the flowers at 10:20 tonight and I was still sweating! This heatwave is going on as far as the eye can see. Drats~as Sheldon would say!!!

Forcast HOT !!!!! at least for the foreseeable. Not looking forward to our trip away, but we're close enough to home to come back if it gets too much.I'm happy for those who love hot weather,as we don't get a lot in the uk,but the next person who asks me "Eee isn't this lovely" will get my sandal up their Jacksy !!!!

Glad I'm not the only one complaining! My sister loves this weather and doesn't use air conditioning by choice!:eek2: I'll never understand how you can enjoy sweating all the time....

When everyone here is complaining in January about -30 below windchills, I remember hot and humid and appreciate it. While I hate when it is so cold the inside of your nose freezes, I always feel it is easier to add a couple more layers and warm up than it is to take off clothes and cool down. Plus, in the winter, the cats are so much more cuddly!

Another really hot and humid day. It is before 8:00 and it is already 80 degrees out. Ugh. Yesterday at camp, my son didn't get to go horseback riding because it was too hot. I hope he gets to climb the climbing wall today, as he's looking forward to it. But when it is this hot, they only do swimming and activities in the air conditioned lodge.

Sounds just like us! Are you sending your crappy weather my way??? Stop it then!!!:voodoo: You're torturing me!:ylol2:

Beautiful day today here in the UK. I live in the North West of England and is unusually sunny - its our 11th day of sunshine - no rain for a while now.

Long may it last

Overnight storms (yawn!) have lowered the dew point and it is supposed to be a bit cooler today (only upper 80s instead of mid 90s)

:ylol2: It's another humid day and rain coming!! I've gone looney!:ylol2::ylol2::ylol2: We are to get severe storms and Mon Tues and Wed again!!! Tomorrow is the only day, no rain. I am glad the crops are getting the rain after the sun, but that is not making me thrive.:(

Been very HOT in Kielder Forest,up to 32c. Don't know how we coped.Overcast and cooler for the drive home, which was appreciated.Forcast hot again next week.It won't last. The school kids have just started their summer break for 6-7wks.When they go back to school, the Xmas cards will be in the shops.I KID YOU NOT!!!! hahaha

We have thunderstorms predicted for this evening, but I hope not, as my son has an overnight at camp, and if it rains, they'll have to sleep in the lodge. At least it is cooler out today.

Awaiting those storms still. Niks, I am so jealous! I love thunderstorms and we don't often have them.

Dreary here too Carol. Awaiting much rain this afternoon. Hopefully not gonna have a brown lawn too much longer.
