Hey guys, i was just wondering if you guys take any supplements, if so which ones? I was thinking about getting some protein drinks and taking some L-Glutamine. How bout you?

500 mg Turmeric
500 mg Ginger
2400 iu Vitamin D-3
Multivitamin
1000 mg Krill Oil
500 mg Magnesium

Occasional use of Acidified Chlorine Dioxide to kill acidic bacteria.
Ten drops twice a day of Septistat. Homeopathic remedy for H-Pylori.

I also run slightly low on protein but do not have a solution for it currently. Not a pressing problem.

Dbergy- You mentioned Acidified Chlorine Dioxide. That is to help with Acidty and also help the balance with Alkaline yes????

The acidified Chlorine Dioxide is a product called Miracle Mineral Supplement or MMS.

Chlorine Dioxide is usually used for sanitizing hospitals or for water treatment.
It is one of the best disinfectants known to man, and it only kills bacteria that are acidic. It does this by stripping away electrons from the bacteria. Basically it is a selective oxidizer.

It has only recently been used internally by the more adventurous. It is not approved to treat anything, but I used it specifically to kill certain bacteria I believe are responsible for many of the symptoms of Crohn's. I used it for four weeks hoping it would get rid of the sensation in my Terminal Ilium. It worked so I used it for two weeks longer to make sure all of the bacteria was gone.

I have not had any more of these sensations since then. That was about a year and a half ago. The LDN may be keeping it away using my own immune system, or possibly I did get rid of all of it. I only know that it worked and I was glad it did.

It is experimental, very powerful, and they are trying to ban its sale and use in this manner in Canada right now. Use at your own risk and investigate it thoroughly.

Personally, I will always keep some on hand because it works well for many infections, viral and bacterial.

Currently only:

Tried before Colostrum, Ginger, Turmeric, acidophilus, Bee Propolis but with no clear results

Soo noone else is taking glutamine? lol
I was also thinking about getting some probiotics my doctor recommended. I cant remember the name but i do know that you can only buy them in cananda, it is like 100% insects and bugs ewwwww:tongue:

I take L-glut. or well use to. 1st tub i ran through didnt seem like it did much if anything. Been tryin to find studys on it, but not much is out there for a nailed down answer.

Probiotics are just living soil organisms.Nothing much to em really...

Now whip worms on the other hand.............

My FNP is going to put me on glutamine; she mentioned it at my last visit.

Right now I'm taking:

5,000 + IU Vitamin D (liquid drops)
Multivitamin
Probiotics
Chinese Herbal UC supplement (my accupuncturist specializes in Chinese Medicine)
B Vitamin Supplement
Iron (rarely take it, although I need to)

I'm going to start digestive enzymes as soon as I pick some up in a couple of days.

I take:

GI Encap
Iron
B12
Probiotic (HMF Forte by Genestra)
Fish Oil
Rhodiola

I was taking Glutamine for a little while, but haven't been taking it lately. I didn't know if it was doing anything because I was taking so many things in conjunction with it.

I tried L-Glutamine for quite a few months but didn't notice any improvements but I do take the following...

bee propolis
omega 3-6-9
vitamin b12, A, C-Calcium Ascorbate
fibre supplements
probiotic calle primadophilus reuteri made by natures way
chamomile tea

all daily and my GI is impressed with how this combination has helped with symptoms so much, not full remission but a heck of a lot better than going the 30+ times a day with bleeding that I was having, now it's an average of 5 or less times/day no bleeding and fully formed stools.

My main issues are still frequency since I used to be a one/day pooper before CD and the other issue is urgency, I just cannot hold it in like I used to be able to before CD or even when I first got sick (I could hold it in better then compared to the last 12ish yrs) been sick for 18 yrs now with never having a full remission...

I'm also either allergic or non-responsive to traditional oral RX used for crohn's, so on top of the above supplements I've also altered my diet, no junk-food, fast-foods, processed foods/beverages, animal fats, caffeine, refined sugar/artificial sweetners.

:)
