Hi there, I have been living on white bread as i thought it was soft & therefore better for me & my CD. It has certainly served me ok for a long time, however my stomach has recently been becoming more noisy & sore, so amongst other things i thought i'd try cutting out the bread completely (doesn't leave much else i admit!) & it's been amazing!! Hardly any noises, no soreness & best of all - no diahorrea! - i thought that was something i just had to live with & was completely used to it, but its now like i'm like a normal person! I had a bit of pasta yesterday & a wrap & noticed the noises coming back, albeit a lot less than before. I am sticking to as much wheat free as possible in future, weird that it has taken me 16 years to realise what a difference this makes!!

Have you tried wheat-free, gluten-free bread? That seems to agree with me better than real bread. Goes without saying that it's not as delicious as the real thing but Genius is the tastiest I have tried (as recommended by people on these forums) - also the dearest unfortunately, but I make a nice banana sandwich using it and it's far nicer than the other brands.

Congrats on going wheat free, and finding improved health! Avoiding gluten helped me considerably also with the gut. I'm not cured but much healthier than before. That is one thing I've noticed also. Even though I'm still ill, I'm not nearly as noisy with stomach grumbles as i was before.
