Why do I feel this?

So I've gotten used to this since it's happened several times but it's confusing and sort of weird. So all today I've had off and on stabbing pains in my area in my left side. It feels depper than skin deep anyway it typically happens for a full day until I feel a popping of some sort...like you feel when you pop a pimple (thats the best way to describe it) then it feels sort of warm/stinging and a little sensitive to the touch then the pain disappears except for an awkward feeling like my colon is slightly swollen and awkward in my gut but only in that one area. It happens every couple of months and mostly in the same region. IDK maybe I'm weird

Oh and it's not like gas bubbles rupturing...I have those a lot and they feel very different from this...

That is weird indeed. I'd certainly mention it to your GI next time you speak. I kinda wonder about the possibility of a stricture but that's just a wild guess. Maybe someone else here has felt the same so free bump

Thanks. I have a sigmoidoscopy in a week which will cover the area in question(for some reason all my problems are on my left side as opposed to the right) I hope it'll possibly shed some light on this.
