Why does my stoma keep changing in size?

Hi all
Can anyone tell me why or if they are suffering the same that they're stoma changes size of its own accord. It doesn't bother me other than it causes leaks. I have a pre cut bag and its beginning to get on my nerves!

When did you get a stoma? They generally tend to change in size the first eight weeks post-surgery, but can also change if you've gained/lost weight.

You should be measuring your stoma every time you change your flange to make sure it's going to fit right. Eventually, it should settle down and be stable. You can also look into the Convatec moldable wafers or even moldable rings (like Ekins) to help with the leaks.
