    No period?

Thank you both for responding! I still haven't gotten my peroid and have been off pred for 2 weeks now. I'm not under weight so I don't think that's a factor. I did lose about 15lbs but have gained a few lbs back now (not that I want to, lol..I'm just so happy to eat again I think it's hard to...

    Headaches and backaches

Thank you both for your insight on this. I did do some research and found that you shouldn't mix the two but I was instructed to take the Ami AS NEEDED...not daily. The St. Johns I take daily and need to. I ran out one time and thought, "eh, I'll be ok". Oh no, what an attitude I had! SO...

Thank u both for getting back to me :thumleft: I've done Yoga on the past but haven't found much motivation in doing it again...maybe if I get Wii fit? I haven't seem a set or instructor I really like. I'm not really that picky I swear! It's just with the joint pain and back pain some things I...

    Headaches and backaches

Thanks everyone for the advice. I saw my dr yesterday and told him about my problems and that amitriptylin had helped others with chronic headaches. He only prescibed 10mg and gave me a 30 day supply. I think he was hesitant because it's and anti depressent ??? He's a so so dr but that's how...

    Probiotic

I use probiotic 11 from Natures Sunshine (through their website). It's the only probiotic I've found that really helps. It's also dairy free, which is also hard to find. I use a few of their products had I can tell they're much more potent then others. Not too expensive either!

To have a drink or to not have a drink?

oOOoooOOO ...ok I had 1 drink AND I'm still awake...pretty impressive for me,lol. But now I'm hungry and normally I'd eat chips and salsa or hummus but hummus kills me right now (boo) and I have no salsa! bummer.:lol2:

To have a drink or to not have a drink?

heehee..you guys are awesome. The only downfall to having a drink if it backfires is that I have 3 lil ones to take care of so that means no taking care of myself! The night's early so we'll see how it rolls along. Happy New Year!

To have a drink or to not have a drink?

Yup, it's New Years Eve. I'm just home with the hubby (which never happen on NYE for us, he usually works) and thought I might have a drink. I haven't has one in forever but was thinking gin and seirra mist! I'm not in full remission but haven't had D in weeks and am eating pretty normal with...

    A natropath

I see a naturopath and have for years. Even for my kids. She's been most helpful but like any other doctor take in what YOU think is right. Some will just try to rip you off, others actually care. I got lucky and she's like a mother to me. Until recently I've been able to be med free for 3 years...

    So Whatd You Get?

I got a food processer, new sneakers (those toning ones), a rice cooker and food steamer and a juicer for my bday (the 23rd)! I was spoiled this year, lol. Think they're trying to get me to eat? :ylol2:

    Headaches and backaches

I was wondering of anyone gets headaches from their meds? I'm on prednisone (only 10..almost done!) and Lialda. I get banging headaches..really bad! I actually have to take a 1/2 oxycodone just to make it go away and sometimes that doesn't even work. I don't want to come dependent on the pain...

    When food isn't a trigger

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate your feedback. I agree that food is more of an intolerance then anything else. As the villa gets destroyed in our intestines it leaves it with little ability to break down certain foods. I know I have a problem with proteins (gluten and casein for sure). I've...

Transitioning from flare diet to post-flare diet

I was also in the hospital for the 1st time back in June. However, I was only in there for 4 days. I managed to take care of myself a bit with natural remedies so I didn't have to stay long (prob the fact that I didn't have insurance helped boot me out too, lol). Anyway, I'm not sure what you're...

    When food isn't a trigger

It's so hard for me NOT to stress out. I guess it's just my personality? I worry way too much..a little OCD sometimes. Sometimes maintaining a household (in a very small house!) of 3 kiddos can be nerve twitching :rof: I mean, I love being with them and would never have it another way but where...

    Marijuana and Crohn's Disease

I'm right there with you on this matter. I have a friend who swears by it to treat his Crohns. I, myself, haven't tried it for such (in HS though, well that's another story :ycool: ) but our state did just pass it for medical use. However, my Dr. would prob be against it. Trouble is finding a...

Does a cold makes symptoms worse?

    When food isn't a trigger

Yeah, stopping my meds last time is what brought on this flare. NEVER will I stop cold turkey again. Lesson learned. I can see how antibiotics would do damage for sure. I'm pretty safe there though as I don't ever take them. Thanks guys :thumleft:
