Hi all!

I have a new account but have visited this forum a few times over the years. Usually these visits coincide with a flare up and I'm coming back here to, well, I guess I just want to know I'm not alone in all of this!

This time it's different.

3 weeks ago I had a flare up, not the worst kind but bad enough. These flare ups usually take me 5-6 weeks to recover from. Recover actually is not the right word, "being less bad" would be a more accurate description. So today I would not be able to eat very much, be sore, have no energy, sleep most of the time and feel more or less depressed. My poop would be loose and not formed in any way.

But this is not the case. Today I feel fine and I have solid beautiful poop!

2 weeks ago I found a Swedish Facebook group for people with Crohns and a hand full of people there where trying a new supplement. One girl who has been taking this for about 6 months says she feels better than ever and have, after 18 years of Crohns, no more symptoms of the disease. The others have felt a radical improvement in just days or weeks.

1 week ago I got the supplement and started taking it. After three days I started feeling better, my poop was getting more solid by the day and my mood shifted and I just felt better.

It has been seven days since I started taking it and I feel great! The last three days I have had regular morning poop that just felt fantastic.

So what is this supplement?

Since I don't want to break any rules I don't think I can mention the name of this product and I leave it up to the moderators to decide if I can. What I can tell you is that this product is for sale in the Scandinavian countries (+Finland) and perhaps Germany. I have no idea if there are any problems ordering this to North America or any other country.

One last thing, this supplement is not intended for humans, hence my username. It's a supplement for horses that need "Normalization of gastrointestinal function".

Any questions?

I really don't have any idea about research on human consumption, but looking at the ingredients I can not see anything that would be unfit for human use. The company making this also presses on using only natural ingredients.

These are some of the ingredients:
...yeast extract (PSB®-complex and ß-glucans), cold pressed linseed oil, wheat bran, grape seed extract, whey powder, malt extract, herbs...
It also contains some probiotics.

The company is actually german and this product is available all around Europe.

I did take a look and did not find anything that specifically stated it had or had not been used on humans, or whether there were any precautions with human consumption.

That being said, the product being discussed is designed for equine use, any human use would be at the discretion and risk of the user and not endorsed by the Forum.

Horse - have you considered contacting the manufacturer to see if there are any specific cautions on dosage if a human were to take the product?

Hi Lisa,

I understand the caution about naming this product since it is NOT sold for human use, although it's not forbidden either. :)

I have been in contact with the company regarding clarification about some of the ingredients and the representative told me that the product contain no ingredients that are harmful to humans. But dosage is important and I will contact them again to see what they have to say about it.
