Currently looking for ways to entertain myself on the internet so my computer will get warm and function as a heating pad for my stomach ( :( ) so...

This is me. My pictures are all sideways because I think they look weird when I turn them right-side-up.

This is me on Prednisone three years ago. I made a great chipmunk / beaver thing (I actually kind of liked the puffy face). I'm the one in the middle, by the way.

Very pretty, Sarahbear! :) (BTW I've had moonface too, and looked more like a chipmunk lol.)

Thank you!! Haha, most of the time I looked like a chipmunk too, but I tend to make this weird too-much-smile face for pictures that makes me look somewhat like a beaver... so in most of the pictures from that time period, I look like a chipmunk / beaver crossbreed thing.

and SarahBear I do the same thing with my laptop. Just watch youtube videos and it gets hot real quick lol

I'll try that! I don't know why I don't just go buy a heating pad, lol.

SarahBear, Has anybody ever told you that you look a little like Miley Cyrus. Before the blonde mess she is now sporting. Maybe it's just cause the photo is sideways. Anyway I think your chip monk cheeks are adorable!

Actually, yes. I've gotten that one a few times, but I'm usually compared to the Olsen twins, Amanda Bynes, or Fiona Apple. I am okay with all of those.

And thank you! Haha.

IN ALASKA :) ! I'm in the red beanie cap

I still affirm that this thread is proof that all forms of IBD do indeed have a genetic component that includes expression of a, "Cute" gene.

When they finally find a cure, all of you are going to have to make the choice between a cure and looking like you were hit repeatedly by a brick in the face when you were young.

just took this one, didn't realize I was being photo bombed, but thats Andrew behind me

I only have one before shot of me before IBD. Scanner isn't working so here's a picture of a picture. :p

I guess I never put any photos of me on here except for me in Halloween costumes. :p Here's what I look like, before and after IBD.

This one was taken in about 2007, back before I became ill.

And here's one of me last xmas. I had IBD for just over 3 years at this point but was (and still am) in remission.

No, that's just the lighting/hair dye. I have naturally light brown hair although it's been going gray ever since IBD came along, hence the hair dye.

I was just curious because it looked so natural on you. But, I like the brown better anyway! The gray, well what can you do? Thank goodness for haircolor is all I can say! FOR ME!:lol2:

It's cool I've got a wide screen monitor so no side scrolling, yay! Hey there purdy ladeh! ;)

Here I am before my IBD diagnosis. I can't find any in my teens (which is probably for the best, as those 80s styles were hideous!). I'm with my older sister at summer camp here.

This is me, it was not long before I got sick, I haven't had any photos taken since then, I do my best to refuse being in front of cameras lol

This is me on holiday a few weeks ago holding a Harris Hawk. Its the first picture of me for over a year where I look properly healthy :).

I turned 70 recently and a friend of mine made me a card from a photograph she had taken of her grandson and me. It's called "You're never too old to climb a tree".

I went to a wildlife centre in south England (I'm usually in Wales) and they let you hold some of the birds of prey :) . Most wildlife or bird of prey centres here have displays or talks where they let you hold the birds, as long as you keep still and don't panic if the bird flaps . I also held an eagle owl when I was younger.

Harris hawks are pretty light, and that one was trying to stare me out, it likes people with long hair and furry hoods.

If you wanted to do it then im pretty sure it would be pretty easy to find somewhere that will let you :) .

I apparently deleted the source my pictures came from in my previous post, so I guess I'll post again. These are old; I apparently only take pictures of dogs now, but I pretty much look the same.

this is fun. it's so wonderful to see everyone's lovely face! we're a pretty good looking lot, I must say, haha!

here's me and my mom, who has been the best advocate ever when it comes to getting me decent GI care and support. when I'm in the hospital, she's like a very displeased mama bear, viciously protecting her "cub" from medical incompetence and scary hospital food, hahaha...
dugamuqy.jpg

...and here is my husband, who is the most wonderful partner and best friend I could ever possibly imagine.
not only does this guy follow my (often ridiculously restrictive) medically-prescribed diet in solidarity, but he refuses to leave my side in the ER - even during the fun part where the doctor has to check my, um, back door for bleeding - because he wants to be there with me. oh, and we started dating only a couple months before my first real flare and subsequent diagnosis. I lost more than a few "friends" by being suddenly hospitalized for a couple weeks and then coming out looking like a malnourished ghost. what fun-loving twentysomething wants to spend their free time sitting on an uncomfortable pleather chair in a sterile, freezing, depressing room with someone who is totally gorked out on pain meds? THE KIND YOU STICK WITH FOR LIFE BECAUSE HOLY CRAP IS THIS GUY AWESOME!
ype4e5y6.jpg

...and um, for no apparent reason, here's a selfie I took with a penguin. who is named Bubba. and I love him and wish I could take him home to live with me because he is awesome and fuzzy and adorable.

I would just like to say that I'm super jealous of Valleysangel and Optimusmog, specifically the photos of you next to awesome birds! I can't even decide if I'm more jealous of the hawk or the penguin. I need to like, ride an ostrich or something and have my photo taken. :p

Leo looks like a great horse; great colors and I love the feathers on his legs (I think that's what they are called - sorry, not a horse person).

@ The Real MC - Like your neck warmer.

@ The Real MC - Like your neck warmer.

He's been my buddy since he was three months old. The first time I held him he climbed inside my winter coat, curled up, and went to sleep. There is no better way to say "take me home". Great mouser too. He's 16, still healthy, still runs and plays with the younger cat.

I'm from MN, but this is my wife and I at the top of "the incline" at Pikes Peak in CO.
