Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

Haven't read that thread yet but will do.I'm not a crohnie though I'm a U.C.er so It might not apply.Beetroot is extremely good for you though.

Off to football soon to see my team - Gillingham v Southend - will check in later - bit like a security guard really.

The sky. I've got to go feed my dog and get my (very) late breakfast also. Probably a smoothy. With celery. It just tastes best.

Thank you everyone for your concern - well for a man of my age it cannot be good to get too excited - so I shall try to keep a lid on it - although ..............Sandy - we do have cheerleaders at Gillingham - but I am thinking not as classy as your teams.

I probably shouldn't tell him that the youth football league that Jacob is playing in has little cheerleaders too, lol!

The attorney I worked for the longest is a coach for little league football, but played for the Utes in the early sixties. Yikes!

no,but we had a great walk in the woods and a picnic (fresh crab sandwiches and cherry cake and coffee) the weather was perfect and views of the hills were wonderful.:thumleft:

Well it sounds a perfect day.

You are taking a chance coming on here though - someone might be mean and ruin the Karma.

Now Robert, we would not do that to Carol, we love her! And I am here for my friends to make me smile, make me forget my bad mood! You all do it so well!

Well I really would be worried about him if he was nice BUT.......I know that it's all a front because he sent me the most beautiful bouquet. There was no card but you can't kid a kidder choochee face

You are lying! You gave me a flower just this morning....and we do like something more "practical", but pretty sure a 4 pack of beer isn't it....lol!

One of the forums I liked going to just had the owner rage quit on it so the forum is completely gone as of today. So lame. Who does that?

Well that wouldn't happen here Crabby - although I try to annoy as many people as possible - How are you - are you married yet?

Yes Crabby - many congratulations and I hope it is a fantastic day.

Mrs Crabby - hmm....got a good ring to it.

Well, then don't give one person presents, then another, then another ..
I should be the one who is hurt...

I noticed that. How are you today Carol?

They are just gorgeous flowers, Robert, thank you! And Carol, sometimes we have to have a little bit of being girly, lol!

[QUOTERobert747;502771]Carol - I am speechless - someone who understands!!!!!!!![/QUOTE

Doesn't mean my loyalty doesn't belong with the ladies though.

:ybiggrin:Do you find yourself getting up in the middle of the night to check your forum to see whose on or to say hi to someone you know, or can't go a day without reading it; you may have a problem. This is the place you need to be. We share our stories of addiction and don't have to worry about anyone judging us, because we all have the same problems. Last One Wins! Can't even make it more than a few hours without using it to share my thoughts with a friend or if I'm having a bad day.:rosette1:

Just had to butt in here & say that I have to try & limit myself to forum activity these days! When I was planning my destination wedding, I was a member of a forum & became so addicted that I got called out by my boss a few times! But, I don't regret it for a second. I actually met some of my now closest friends on that forum! It's something about planning a wedding, or living with a common disease (or anything that people have in common) that brings them together!

Enjoy your new (and probably forever!) friends!!

Welcome Manders, you'll think we are all a bit strange on this forum, especially us on the humor and adult threads. And you'll be right,we are.but stick with us and you'll soon get the hang of it.just don't take us seriously.

Carol, (and Robert, etc.) I was thinking about that very thing when I had to leave for an appointment, before I even saw my lovely diamond. The boys are kind of out numbered here. I do believe boys and girls are different, but I do think we should be treated with equal respect. you can take my lovely diamond back Robert, it is kind of overkill.

H owever, it is kind of fun to have a little torture on this forum now and then
...

Yes, sendin a hug out to you! Group was fun as ysual. Went to get some groceries, not a whole lot. Beautiful day. 72 and sunny and a nice breeze. Makes me feel whimsical as Trysha would say...:rosette2:

Yeah, sauce gave me heartburn those two days I ate meatballs and spaghetti. Even on zantac! Why are you nervous about seeing your neuoro?

I was afraid you would be gone. I know it's late there. My tremor is making it hard to post. Do you get that?

Not really when I've taken my meds. Evry once in awhile it makes me hit the wrong buttons. Yours are alot smaller on a phone! I have huge hands too so I do screw up texting!

You asked if mike does shows too. He has Ligonier days coming up Oct12th-14th. That is a huge festival from his home town. It is so popular. Thousands come for it every year. I hope he does well! He has had 2 other shows before this

Some things she doesn't take serious, but she is the best neuro I have found. One neuro told me, after my stroke but before they knew there was a problem, that testing would be "feeding my neurosis." Good ones are hard to find around here

Sounds like it. Why do so many Dr.s think we would want to have these crazy illnesses? Someone on the forum was told their crohn's was all in their head. I will flip if they said that to me!

Isn't it funny keeping a conversation one post behind/ahead? I wish I could go to one of his shows. I love good photography.

They basically told Doug that at first, even when he had a mass that you could feel in his stomach that wasn't normal.

I wish you could too. Just to see them live. They look so much better than on the computer!
No Robert tonight on forum?LOL or maybe you telling him to take back his diamond, LOL!

When I tried using a keyboard on a computer the other day, I couldn't even use that properly. I think I was about one third speed I used to be. I was a legal secretary and could type, before computers came out, around 90 WPM. It is really aggravating. Part of that is my myoclonic jerk I told you about. (by the way, food did fly across the room today. And my cereal bowl flew up and almost hut me in my face. I didn't know if I should be mad or laugh.)

It was his intestines constricted. Major pain and told it was nothing, then later told IBS, even after testing which did show problems. Four years later and many trips to ER later, finally diagnosed on fathers day. ER diagnosed it. Stupid GI

Yeah, I know a girl who her's just kept cutting away her intestine and she's only 40 something and he wanted her to wear a bag. She said no. She has 6 in of intestine left. But he was able to reconstruct something for her. Poor girl. She's on Humera now and doing better.

When finally had surgery, doc told me he must have had "one hell of a pain threshold," and basically that he really should have been dead by then.

He must be really a strong man! I bet you are so glad they finally found out what was wrong!!! I'm glad the humira is working for him too.

Thank God they didn't have to cut more than about 2-3 feet, he thinks. It just was so constricted it was like an accordion coming out after they cut the constricted part out. Even though Doug had lost a lot of weight, he looked like he had a beer belly. After surgery he was flat as a pancake.

I sure am! I hope I'm not keeping you up? I was slow to get on because I'm a nervous Nelly when I think about doctors. Too many bad experiences.

That's how my brother was too. His intestine burst and he lost like 30 lbs in the hosp. He had diverticulitis though and when the pain hit, he just thought he had a bad flu. But, when it blew he knew something was really wrong and he had to have bile pumped out of him for weeks.

I am getting sleepy now Sandy, so am going to bed. Can we continue tomorrow. I'll be on in the morning. Or just email me and I'll get back to you. I should be home all day. I know you have appt. So anytime,ok?

You know we're addicted to forums when we wait to have conversations on then, lol. And you must have been right about Robert, he must have a friend over, or his feelings hurt over returning his gift. I think he really liked giving all those lovely gifts to so many ladies.
