I'm okay Teresa, and wish I could put on the game! This seizure was very strange, it was like a grand mal, (I think), but I can remember all of it. I remember not feeling well (like a seizure coming on), telling Doug (he said he could tell), kept having those myoclonic jerks I told you about, them getting worse and worse, then my eyes rolling back into my head and eyes moving back and forth rapidly but not able to stop it, all while my back arched back and then everything spasming. I tried and tried to get control, eventually everything slowed and eventually stopped. It took quite a while and a nap to get back to feeling normal.

Oh, the Steelers game? I think it was pre-empted by our local LDS (Mormon) conference that happens twice a year. Keep me apprised, would you? We are just about to go to my Mom's house because she needs extra help, but at least put the final scre on would ya? I might not have a chance to open it until abt. Midnight your time, but I can at least check the final score. Thanks.:Karl::Karl::Karl:

Sandy,
Hope you are feeling much better now! I prayed for you. I hope you had a great time at Mom's. What did you have for dinner? How was Mom?
Steelers won by one point (A field goal ) no lie, in the last second of the game. It was something like 18-17. I can't remember exactly. Mike is matting down there again. I guess I have to wait to make the labels so he can give me prices, etc... How do you feel now? Hopefully much better.
My back has been bad all day. Woke up and could barely move and had bad dreams all night and pain. I hope I sleep better tonight. Mike said I was yelling at my grandson not to do it, it's illegal! HAHA. Don't know what though. I love him too much. Guess you can't huh? Well, let us know how you are sweet lady!!!:heart::heart::heart:

WHAT?????????? Do you mean flashbacks or repercussions from doingit ? Sandy probably never did!:lol2::sign0085:

Nope. Never did. I spelled LDS LDS and had to fix it. I did "inhale" (to use Clinton'sphrase) though, more than once, but never liked it. Stupid me.

Sorry to wake you. gotta go now anyway, if I can wake hubby from nap. Have a great night!

Doing better since I switched back to my original omeprazole medication.

Have you ever tried Cholestyramine? Or brand name questran???It comes in powder form and pill. It helps if you have too much bile acid or diarrhea. It has been a lifesaver for me. It was created for high cholesteral originally, but they found out how much it helped crohn's patients. There are some threads about it on this forum.

morning if you're up,nite nite if bedtimes close, and to the rest of you, what are you doin' on here, have you no work to do ?Just having 5mins 'til hubby's back then going to the shops and for a walk. It's another nice day.Done some ironing, made a meat and potato pie, walked the dog and juiced carrot, kale beet, celery and apple and washed up and done the floors,so I'm finished for the day.I know......BORING,I can hear you all yawning.

Well I have been to Norwich and back today - my son has been at university for two weeks now - he called last night to say his laptop adaptor has broken. I bought one this morning (£50!!!) and drove up to give it to him. My - does he look bad! He has had some sort of flu bug for two weeks - clearly has been out on the lash every night and has not been eating. I spoke to a girl in the shared kitchen who said he had been living on pasta. He is still going to all the sports trials, etc. Kids eh!

You can only lead by example, but life is about trial and error and It's early days yet. He'll be ok. I must say though, that if I had known our son was going to meet his future wife on the night that he did, I would have nailed his bedroom door shut before he had a chance to get out.Talk about trial and error.........

Robert, I would make sure the young lad eats healthier. With all the strange bugs going around, have a good talk with him about eating better...Just concerned for him!

I know we don't eat very because we are so tired, wiped out, etc., both of us at the same time. We've got to learn to make ahead on good days or we both will die young(ish). The juicing has been helping, however. I know you have been a good example Robert, and your son will be okay.
Carol, just hop across (even though long distance) to where son lives, nail d-i-l by her ears and nose to her door, then take son home for adult lessons. He needs a few even if with good parents. Love (or being blind sided) can work like that. If only it worked that easy ...

P.S. I had bad dream about Ashley sleeping with some scum balls.

Why'd you take those pretty blue eyes away!? I will request them in my inbox soon young lady! Now back to bed with my bad self. This is my punishment for that naughty lumerick yesterday Mike told me to put on for Robert!:ywow:

I believe you about the limerick. and Doug really does have to stop me from posting some things. It is terrible when he sees everything I post!

I took the pic away because I was trying to put a better one on, phone had a glitch, and this is what I ended up with.

Doug is so opposite of Mike. It really is funny at times when I try to embarrass him. I have to play a fine line, though.:ycool:

I ate and so far praise God only went once. Took my cholesterymine first.
I'll keep you posted tomorrow.

Hope you are on the mend T.Fingers crossed instead of legs. It's very quiet on here again, but hopefully all you who are sick are resting.:kiss:Not much to talk about today.Been to town for a wander,2 dog walks, shepherds pie for lunch (sorry Robert) Lovely sunny day.Going to visit old friends tomorrow.Only see them 5 or 6 times a year.Been pals for 35yrs and are close but their lives are complicated. We have a good laugh, and may have a walk with the dogs.I'll be back soonish though, just in case Robert writes me off AGAIN.Still nothing from Cheryl.Where are you CHERYL???

Can I change mine? I like yours better.
Except the prayer part. I'll change that to me and so many need it.
I think we should add humor to that list also!
:ylol:
But I'm sticking to my allergies about doctors and ER rooms.

Can't help noticing my list was all about selfish things - you all put me to shame (nothing new there)

In my case,if I'm not selfish people walk all over me.I'm very kind and caring, but I've had to learn to say NO.......You don't actually hurt any body by being selfish. You just p*ss them off.

I've learned it's ok to say no because most of the time, I say yes if I can. But no more guilt over "NO!". we are not doormat:thumleft:s!

In spite of all the goings on on this forum thread, I'm still addicted. Carol, you are a smart lady. My house is a mess again.

and Sandy It'll still be a mess tomorrow if you do it today.Get your book out,put your feet up and blow a raspberry to the mess.

Don't listen to him Sandy he's just trying the caveman act.Us girls know how to respond to that don't we? We say yes master, then ignore him.

You see,men can only do one thing at a time and think of the other continuously.Where as women multi task and say "yes dear" because they were going to do it anyway. Therefore men are of the misconceptionthat they are superior and in charge.Which is why we love you all, you're such pushovers.

Mine could care less if we were knee deep in clothes on the floor (because he puts them there), or sink full of dirty dishes, or garbage cans overflowing!!!'
Just so he has coffee in the morning, dinner when he gets home and cake in the evening! To him, that is bliss!!!

:thumright:Men may be the head of the household, but women are the necks and can turn the head any direction we want. Besides that, the ecclesiastic leader where we used to go to church taught the men (in front of the ladies for reinforcement) that when a lady says something, the men are supposed to say "yes, dear.":heart::heart:

OK. peeps. what has been or is your worst or best fashion statement? My worst(but not at the time) was a shell suit in the early 90s.There'll be more, but you can 'fess up first

Teenager in 1970's - nuff said

Me too, long flannel shirts, torn up old jeans and boys tennis shoes, why????
COMFORT and we walked aroung stoned all the time.(Now you know why my brain doesn't function). So we couldn't care less about fashion! That's the problem with brats these days, no pot to keep them useless and not caring about having every new game or gadget that comes out!!!:ylol::ylol::ylol: Couldn't resist. Being poor kept us honest and we had great manners, believe me or you paid for it!!!!:ymad::ymad::sign0085:

no,we need descriptions, thats a cop out (again) I also had black satin hot-pants which I wore with fishnet tights (70s) and platform shoes:cool2:

Now that sounds sexy! I forgot about the fishnets when I was a kid! Just loved them till they got a hole in them and we tried to mend it HAHA!!!:lol2:

My blue and white stained house coat that wouldn't stay done up, with my purple slipper socks that I was wearing the other night while Teresa and I were private messaging each other, hair sticking every which way. Poor Doug.

we're all guilty of tatty housecoat syndrome.I keep my best one in case of emergencies.:lol2:

I'm back. Where is everyone? Not as addicted a me, I see. I'm sure Teresa is off making zillions of dollars Mike's art showing.

I wish we made zillions of dollars. He did do better today than any other day. He got tons of leads and people that said they were redoing their house and took a card so they could order off him . So much great exposure and recognition.Good day but not great. I won't complain though... Miss you all. Today is Mike's birthday so I have to hurry up and bake his cake. Talk to you tomorrow...:hug:Loves ya!!!

went through a dippy-hippy phase.Long frocks, plaited hair etc.but as I've said before I'm a jeans girl,so couldn't keep it up.I can dress up and look smart when I have to,but I mostly dress for comfort. We had a white wedding with all the trimmings, but I wore jeans and mens shirts on my honeymoon. My mother used to despair of me.But the shell suit was definately the worst.:eek2:

well my jeans are bigger than they were when I was a girl Sandy.Have just been reading in the daily newspaper that if you have a chronic illness you're better off being a bit overweight.Normal or underweight is not good or your body suffers malnutrician. So lets look on the brightside eh.

They told me after my kidney surgery that the reason I recovered so fast was because I had good nutrition and wasn't real thin. She is right on!!!

hi all.can I just mention that when I put my PJs on I'm not actually going to bed as it's usually about 6pm.I just love to be comfy.Hubby takes dog for his last walk at bedtime,so I don't have to go out again.I also like to log-off about then or he feels neglected. He's never said though. It's a shame, because things start to get busy on here about then, but that's life.Full of disappointments.

Don't worry about missing the good timing of being on the forum, Carol. I just wrote an email/essay to Teresa about why I never get anything done. Shall I say, forum?

P.S. Shall I say I wrote this when I'm supposed to be busy?

Carol, you are being a good wife and God bless you for it! I get off to when hubs comes home. I come back to check and then get off again till he's asleep. Tonight I'm watching the presidential debate though. So may not be back tonight... But, will be thinking of you all and praying for each one coz I really do loves ya!!!

Sandy, check the email and you too Carol I just sent you about balloons.
It is one to live by!!!:ghug:

Yep,I'm the best wife he's ever had or is ever gonna have.I have to keep beating it into him but he's getting the idea.He still has trouble saying "yes dear" but I'll settle for a nod.(and if he reads this I'll be out the door and my PJs will be thrown after me hee hee)

How your poor husband has suffered down the years.

TRUST ME.........he doesn't know what suffering is.He gets tea in bed EVERY morning,no matter what time it is.5am in the summer 7am winter.I fill his bath.put his clean clothes out and do ALL the cooking, cleaning and shopping.I used to stir his tea when he took sugar. He doesn't know how to use the washer or drier or cooker and doesn't know where the vac.is kept. Now I bet you're sorry you said that aren't you.......But I do it 'cos I love him.Oh yes, because he's always been self employed I've always done the books(for the accountant)and told him where he has to go and put his bait and flask of tea up.:eek2::eek::rof:

Raising children and keeping a house in order is one of the hardest, most thankless and underpaid jobs one can ever have. When my aunt went out of town, for the first time in a many year marriage, my uncle was objecting because he wouldn't know how much milk to put on his cereal. This man is a highly educated man with an engineering degree and has also been a circuit court judge.

well I was thinking about putting MY photo on my avatar, but you would be shouting "bring back Alfie" even louder, just to be mean.

Well I think David might have something to say, because it would definately get out of hand if you were involved.Probably be Barred.

I choose this one for Carol/Alfie
