My son was prescribed the dreaded Flagyl after his MRE yesterday. He hates how it tastes. And its 3x a day.
So today I searched some tips and I found this. I had to post this:

To wrap the pill in a piece of Fruit by the Foot or a piece of a Fruit Rollup. We just did it. It worked so GREAT that I had to post it.

Ok...just told my husband and he wants me to ask if you all think this coating wouldn't dissolve in stomach. I think it would...

A nurse actually told us to do it that way, so I'm guessing it's ok? My daughter hated the taste of Flagyl too.
I hope it works for Brian soon!

great tip:thumleft:
Can you or we put it in the sticky tread Tips and Tricks 101?
Unless its already been said.

Farmwife, I'm not sure if its already been said in there. I was thinking today... after all the years we've suffered thru prednisone/flagyl... why didn't i ever think to google this before. Or why didn't I think of it?!

I wish I had thought of this when I had to take flagyl! I ended up taking it with chocolate almond milk. I would get some milk in my mouth first, the take the pill, and swallow it with more chocolate milk. It tastes terrible. I think it would dissolve fine, since it is a food.
