Hi Guys, its been awhile since I been on here.Just wanted to let u guys kno that I have been adjusting to my bag quite well! I've had a couple leaks. Mainly bc of how my stoma shrunk. There was a crevice between the stoma and the bag and output kept creeping out of it. Thank God for nurse she helped me solve that problem. At first I thought it was me putting it on wrong. Lol. So its been the full 6 weeks and found another job just in time Dr cleared me to work. I spoke w the SV there and explained to her bout my bag. But only her just in case any er leaks or something. She was very accepting and thanked me for being open bout it. She knew that couldn't have been easy! So Monday I start!! I'm so excited. I have never felt so normal. I mean besides the bag, I can eat whatever I want, actually stay and listen to my friends full conversations, and making plans and sticking to them! Best decision I made by far!!! Feeling blessed! :)

Congratulations to you. Take it slow and easy. 6 weeks is short, but you are young. And obviously strong.

If you have not do so already, create yourself some kits with your supplies and have a change of clothes just in case. I've unfortunately had to use them, but glad I was prepared.

Enjoy.

Thank you. I feel like this disease has made me strong. As I had bad active crohns befre, I always had a change of clothes. But I was only gonna bring extra bags. I should have a full kit w scissors, mirror n all for the office. I didn't think of that. Thanks for the tip! :)

I'm glad to see you are going well and that you get to enjoy your life :)
Good luck with the job!

Each of my kits contain a bag, flange, Eakin ring, tongue depressor to wipe off wax, multiple wipes and a plastic bag. I precut the flanges.

YaY!! How exciting!!!!!! I'm so very happy that things have worked out so well for you! I love my stoma--it has changed everything for me. I love to hear when someone else has a similar positive result. You go, Crohnzie Girl!

Thank You! Yes I love what its done to me. It has given me my life back!! The only thing now is to see if a man would accept it or not. Not that I'm in any need or rush to be in a relationship but if I can find a good man acceptable of all of me then my life is set! :) lol
