I'm still smiling although I'm sore and tired. Did my humira last night. But it's weird taking it and the azathioprine when they're not working properly anymore. I planted lots of seeds for the garden today [emoji263][emoji272][emoji258][emoji255][emoji257]

What does the doctor say about the medicines not working?

My GP is waiting on my gastro. They want to shift me on to allopurinol, azathioprine and humira. I will get in touch this week to find out process and timeline

Kirsty it must seem weird still taking them. Hopefuly you will be on the new meds too and things will improve hun 💕

Sandy sorry the bathroom trips have re occured. It may take a little time to kick in properly and relieve the issue. Heres hoping it doesnt take to long. 💕

I hope so too, Mandy, Allie is getting tired from following me to the bathroom and back.

Sandy, I'm here, still busy sewing. Just finishing up the baby quilt! Also have to take care of some chores, dishes need to be washed and dog needs to be walked, and I really should vacuum. This afternoon I'm going to settle in and watch the Packer game.

Go Packers! I have always appreciated Green Bay because they are owned by the fans.

My Utah Utes won again yesterday. Beat the Oregon State Beavers. We are now 6-1. Go UTES!

As promised, some photos. I'll split these up into a few posts. First our basement clean-out from the other weekend! Here's the area under our stairs, where the bathroom is going to go. It was full of junk before, now most of the junk is gone and the remainder is organized on a shelf (that toilet isn't hooked up to anything just yet!).

IMG_3932.jpg

My laundry/pantry area actually has space now, with everything stacked neatly in totes.

IMG_3933.jpg

Our bikes are hung up and out of the way, and hubby's indoor plants (he's growing dragonfruit) have a shelf by the window now - that's a $5 shower caddy that we used to hang the plants, it works perfectly.

IMG_3934.jpg

Hubby's tool area could still use some work but things are temporarily on hold in here, just because we filled up our big outside garbage can. A lot of this (the boxes, etc) is trash, so we're just waiting for trash day so that we can empty the can and fill it again with this stuff.

IMG_3935.jpg

My sewing and crochet projects! Here's what I've been working on most of the weekend, and I finished it this morning. This is the quilt for my cousin's baby boy. It's super warm and cozy, baby boy will be about 6 months old at xmas time so he'll still get a lot of use out of this.

IMG_3937.jpg

My niece's black study pillow. She only likes black now so this is what she's getting.

IMG_3941.jpg

I started running out of steam so I haven't started the pillow for my other niece just yet. But I did pick out the fabric. The raspberry pink will be the main color, the big pocket will be the paisley, and the polka dots will be the smaller pocket.

IMG_3942.jpg

A little blurry, but this is one of the blankets that I made recently. This one is 3 different shades of grey. It's a bit blurry but I think you guys can see that I've gotten better at stripes, ha ha.

IMG_3939.jpg

And for good measure, here's my dog. :) She didn't want to look at the camera today, apparently she's feeling a bit pensive, so I got this profile shot of her where she seems to be in deep thought (probably thinking about treats).

Beautiful dog

That was strange! Your post with your pic of Jammer, Kirsty, and Ron's "how sweet" wasn't showing when I submitted my pic of Allie, even tho I had pressed the "refresh" button. Even when I posted and saw my post, yours weren't showing until a few hours after. It's strange and a mystery.
Jammer looks just like a soft Teddy bear. So adorable! Allie said she would like meet her some day for a play date. 🐕🐶
Today, amongst other things, I might work on my scrapbook and some genealogy. I'm able to trace my ancestry back several generations in some places. It is interesting to see where one comes from. I hope you enjoy your game, Cat. Our Utes won their game last night. :)
One last thing, CAROL, WE NEED YOU BACK HERE! We miss your wit and wisdom.
Time to take a nap before I get busy. :rof:

P.S. I hope the rest of you are hanging in there.

:ybatty:It just happened again! I hadnt seen from Doug's post down, but at least these posts didn't take hours to show up.

Cat, do you and your hubby want to come clean out our basement, lol? Your sewing and craft projects are great too!

Wow Cat lovely work on the quilts bags etc. You are so clever. The basement is looking smart too..💕👍

Glad everyones teams have won :dusty:

I took my son, partner and baba to pick up 2 adorable 9week old kittens up today. Mel missed her other cat who got run over the other week so much. So 2 more additions to the family...🐱
Lots of love n best wishes to all 💝💞
Carol hope you are ok hun 💕💕

Thanks Ron! The Packer game just kicked off a little while ago so too early to say yet whether they'll win. Hopefully!

They will win Cat as i said in my predictive previous post (glad everyones teams won ☺).
A bit of positive thinking goes a long way.. hope im not wrong!!!. 💞

They're currently down, Packers have 3 points and the Cowboys have 7. But it's still the first half of the game, and they can easily make up that difference. Now they just have to start playing a bit better... :p

Ew, now it's halftime and the score is Cowboys 17, Packers 6. That's not very good. My team has not been playing very well lately. :( I have tickets to go to a game in 3 weeks so I need them to start playing better by then!

How come their team colors are different, Cat?

Ron, it's retro week, so they're wearing colors/outfits reminiscent of what the team would have worn in the 1930's. I'm not a fan of these outfits, I like their normal green & gold much better!

And the Packers have lost, final score was 30-16. Ugh. Glad everybody else's teams won - can't win them all I guess.

Oh no...guess il have to keep my gob shut as my predictions were some what off 😕.
Hope everyone has a good day/night.💕💜💝

Just saying hello to you all.Feeling somewhat better today so may be back later.
Cat..... I feel soooo much better about our attic,my hubs will not throw ANYTHING out.
He even goes through my donations to charity in case his stuffs in the bag.I do manage to sneak his clothes out and take them with me when I go into town.He never misses anything.

Scottsma, I grew up with a hoarder (my dad) and when I was a child/teen, he'd literally go through my garbage can in my room before I was allowed to throw things away! I also got good at sneaking things out of the house to toss them. It's sort of sad, in hindsight! Now that his hoarding has gotten worse and is starting to take over the entire house, my mother has threatened to hire a dumpster and just start tossing stuff. I sort of hope she does! Although I know he'd be climbing into the dumpster to rescue stuff...

We watch American Pickers regularly and Les is always amazed at the amount of stuff people accumulate.....I think he's envious really.I just roll my eyes because if we had the outdoor space, he would be twice as bad.:ybatty:

Trysha,how you doin' ? :ghug:

Never thought I'd say this. I can't wait until tomorrow when I can get back on my Humira!

I'm sooooo PO'd at the pharmacy for doing what they did to Doug, as my mother would say, I could spit nails. It also doesn't help that it isn't available in normal pharmacies around here and has to be shipped from out-of-state.
Today I went to the dentist for my broken tooth (needs to be capped) and my mouth is so dry he gave me a prescription toothpaste, of all things (no cavities, as usual, tho!) Today I don't feel well at all, hopefully tomorrow is better.
Carol, so very glad you are back. Hopefully you improve drastically every day as well.
Hugs to all.

I thought about posting a pic of my shed, but after looking at it, it would be too inbarracing. Wow have i got some junk. Debs is off overseas for a holiday tomorrow, so it will be nice and peaceful with me and 2 cats.

Hi Trev nice to see you☺.clearing the shed while Debs away might keep you outa trouble...just a thought 😃💕

Hi Doug hope the humira has you feeling good again 💕

Hi Sandy ye deleting would be handy, i cant do it either. Hope you feel better soon hun. 💕💖

Hi to all n hope your all well. Big hugs 💖💝💞

Apologise if you're eating....My spots are drying out and scabbing over nicely but I still have nerve pain which hasn't improved much.I get tired quickly but am pottering on when I can.I count myself as lucky and hope I never get shingles again.Still having G.I. probs. but it will come right eventually.I think a lot of it could be an age thing too.Hope to get out for a short cycle on Thursday,no hills yet though so will have to plan a route.
Back later,enjoy your day everyone.

I have magic Moderator powers so I've deleted the duplicate post. :)

Trev, I agree with Mandy - clean your shed while you're alone! I loooove cleaning when my hubby is away (conversely, I sort of hate when he cleans when I'm away, because he puts everything in the wrong places and I can't find anything!).

Sandy, I hope today is a better day. Hopefully today is a good day for both you and Doug.

Scottsma, I was eating while reading your post and I'm still eating, you've failed to gross me out. :p Glad to hear things are starting to heal somewhat, I hope things continue to improve.

As for me, I've been feeling fat and gross from the pred. I am only on 10 mg but I still have chipmunk cheeks. I almost never wear makeup, but I decided to try wearing eyeliner today to hopefully distract attention away from my cheeks. I think it's helping? I feel slightly cuter/less ugly. I'm planning to get a haircut soon too, which will hopefully also make me slightly less ugly.

Cat,I'm not vain but I like to look nice.I don't possess a skirt or a dress although I have done in the past.I remember my wedding dress hahaha. But I NEVER ever leave the house without smudged liner and pale matt lippy.Blusher during the winter.Stud ear-rings and perfume.I'm a cross between Jason Statham and Dolly Parton.I've got the muscles but not the voice or the wig.hahaha. And please,it's Carol.

LOL Carol, I'm trying to picture a cross between Jason Statham and Dolly Parton, but all I'm coming up with is Jason Statham in a wig and a dress with fake boobs. :p :D I'm guessing that wasn't quite the image you were going for! :p

And hah, it's a good day if I leave the house having combed my hair recently. I do like clothes very much and try to dress fashionably (I sew or tailor many of my clothes myself), and I like accessories like costume jewelry and watches (you remember my story about buying 10 watches!), but makeup is usually not my thing, and if I "do my hair" it means I put it in a ponytail, hah. With some effort I can be cute, but I'm usually not fancy and I usually don't put in much of any effort.

Good morning you awesome people. Interesting reading, [emoji120] I'm such a visual person. I'm just lying in bed wishing I didn't just walk in to the laundry hamper on my way to the loo. I'm going to have a lovely bruise and graze on my thigh from the bamboo handle.

Hi all.. just because i work with the public n dont want to scare the customers..i wear eyeliner mascara n a skin tone evening powder each day. Halloween here i come make up free 😨 lol.

I went to the dermatologist today. The psoriasis had formed a horn. She did a biopsy and wants me to alternate between two different shampoos.

I did get a haircut today, which is a good thing. :) I had been in panic mode about my hair for months - even as far back as when I went to Japan, in the spring, my hair had been really brittle and breaking a fair bit. So I thought, I'll just leave it alone for awhile. Didn't color it, didn't cut it, didn't use any heat/hair dryer on it, nothing. So it grew long but also sort of scraggly, and was still brittle. I went into total panic mode when this flare started, because then my hair started falling out a fair bit, and it's quite fine & thin to begin with. So I freaked out. My thought was, maybe if I just don't do anything to my hair then it'll stop falling out!

Well, it's still been falling out, I think because of the pred. And it also looked pretty bad. It was more than halfway down my back but in desperate need of at least a trim. So today I got brave and went to a salon and had it cut to shoulder length with some texture on the ends and a small bit of layering. It's cute! I think I actually look 10 years younger, ha ha. It will take some getting used to, as I had at least 6 or 8 inches chopped off, but so far I really like it. And I feel like this is progress, mentally this is me saying "F you" to the flare and the side effects and all that. I'm no longer in panic mode about my hair, letting it grow indefinitely isn't going to stop it from falling out and neither is cutting it, so I may as well have a cute haircut.

My goodness, between wearing eyeliner and getting a haircut, to look at me you might think I actually care about my appearance! :p This is the most effort I've put into my looks all year, hah!

Mandy & Cat, I wont be cleaning my shed anytime soon, too much else to do and not enough energy, tomorrows job is to fix the central locking on Debs car, the car is never home long enough to fix anything.

Ok, today we have movement and not the bowel kind. I sent an email to dietian, endocrinologist, gastroenterologist and my GP on Sunday night. Today my day started with a phone call from IBD nurse who said my gastro had been in touch and I am seeing a gastro at the clinic tomorrow at 3 pm at hospital. I have GP apt tomorrow at 10:45 and then my endocrinologist phoned and suggested meds or insulin to get control of my diabetes, especially on a low residue diet. So we have movement and that is good.

Good news Kirsty,it's the waiting and wondering that drags us down.

Cat,I keep my hair very short/cropped.But I blow dry every morning, even if I'm staying in.Sometimes I get the urge to grow it longer like it used to be,but I can't cope with the in-between stage. So I have an appointment for next Tuesday.I thought I might have more energy by then. The same guy has cut my hair for 31yrs and we often have arguments about my hair.I always win.

Had a drive into town earlier. It's only a 10-15min.walk,but I was worried it would be too much for me as I had a few shops to visit.Anyway, why I'm mentioning it is the Christmas decs are up on the lamp-posts and in the town square.Hells Bells !!! :ybatty:
.Also have just seen on the web that the UK has had it's first snow fall, just a covering on the tops, but still snow.....

And so it begins...

Well, there are just over 2 months to go until xmas, so when you think of it that way... nope, still too early. :p Too early for both snow and decorations! I haven't even carved my Halloween pumpkin yet!

Aw glad you like like your new hair cut Cat☺.. i admit i feel better for a cut myself. You are cute regardless tho hun. 💕

Carol why would we think anyone would win against you hun , we know how tough you are.

Good news Kirsty heres hoping things improve quickly for you hun 💖

Ron you will have the cleanest hair on thr forum ☺ hope it helps mate 💕

Oh Trev i know the no energy feeling well... but il let you off not doing the shed if your doing Debs car...just this once mind

Thanks for your magical powers, Cat!
Lol, I fell asleep in the middle of writing a post yesterday. I was going to say (I guess I still am) that I love the visuals myself. Also that I was having a better day physically, not perfect, but at least could eat normally again and was more of "my normal."
My hair is the longest it has been in ages (which at this point is just past my shoulders) but I think I'm going to go get a cut myself as it grows out so unevenly. And slowly. Then I'll have to go through that awful stage again but I still want to grow my hair out. (By the way Ron, I alternate between two shampoos myself as my thin, weak hair stays stronger that way!)
Then I'll put out my fake already carved jack-o-lantern and string a fall leaf garland around the front door and call it good for decorating for the fall season. Then at the start of December (last year I put up Christmas decorations about a week before Christmas so didn't enjoy it long, and I do love Christmas, in December at least), I think I'll just put clear lights on an artificial ficus tree we have in our livingroom and put out a few nick nacks and call it good. I'm liking simple these days, so maybe I can do some other things for a change, like focus on people I care about. Speaking of which you're all invited to a Christmas party here again on Christmas eve, after we run the marathon in Carol's neck of the woods. I hope everyone is still working on getting in shape . It's okay you took a few days off, Carol, we all have to sometimes, and Trysha, we'll let you ride along in a motorized cart until your knee heals. No, Mandy, you can't drive your new car in the race. But you can drive it to the starting line. Trev, you better show up, we like your smiling face around here. Same with you Dave. And Shanen. And all!
I have to brag here, I've increased my walking distance just a tad by walking several times a week for the past few weeks.
Winning!

Sandy, my hair is thin and weak as well - can I ask more about you alternating between two different shampoos? Are they special shampoos, medicated or anything like that? And do you do any sort of deep conditioning? At this point my hair needs all the help it can get so I'm trying to work out what would be best for it.

I haven't carved my (real, not fake) pumpkin yet - but I did put orange Halloween lights out and some plastic skeletons in my front hedges. I really like Halloween. On years that I feel well, the hubby and I go all out with making really cool costumes, but the last few years we haven't done much because of my health. This year I'm just going to wear one of my kimonos that I got in Japan to hand out candy on Halloween.

I hope this link works, it's not displaying properly on my work computer but I know it works on my home computer. Anyway, this is a website my hubby had set up awhile back with photos of all our Halloween costumes, thought I'd share it with you guys. Click the links on the left to see more photos from any given year.

That's a hard one, isn't it Ron? Still, I have to hold to my principles that all adults, barring convicted felons, should have an equal vote, regardless of education or IQ or handicap in elections. Hopefully we keep our population educated as much as possible, and thus the majority of people vote for the most favorable person. This is a simplistic view and has much more involved than can be said here, but the best way I know to say it.
Cat, I'll answer your questions tomorrow as I developed (~sigh~) another migraine right after I posted last and just can't respond to more intelligently right now. I love the pics though. Very creative.

Thank you for the long distance wake up call Carol.....glad to see you making a big effort...it's good to hear the rash is improving,it's so debilitating but I think it must go with the unmentionable condition we all have.
Cat,Ron,Mandy hope you are all improving
Sandy I'm quite looking forward to the party...what shall I bring....
It has been a difficult time for me trying to be strong and healthy enough for the surgery on Tuesday...which I am not happy about but is necessary so I'm being told.
I have had so many appointments these last ten days..had to attend a knee replacement class given by Pt,Ot,Orthopedic RN and coordinating RN.,took three hours+
An appointment with an internist /infectious disease specialist...and yesterday the Preop
session...another four hours....I'm sure you all know the drill.
We were all told the surgery is two days in hospital then home.......
The whole thing makes me quite depressed...especially the bit about bring your own soap...
nor very sound microbiologically speaking with shared accommodation...many bacteria grow on soap.
They are keeping me in isolation on account of the MRSA they gave me last time.I don't have it right now so they better not do a repeat this time.
My case is packed and ready for Tuesday morning..scheduled for 9.30am.
If what they say is true I will be up and walking in the afternoon of the surgery....hope so.
I like to get home to my own bed as soon as possible.
Cheers Everybody!
Winning........

Goes for me too,I now have two speeds...go slow and stop!
Better improve after Tuesday...
Enjoy your walk with your dog...
Winning.

Hey Trysha, best wishes for op and recovery. We're here for you to help you through. I have made some progress today. Firstly I will be injecting weekly for a short time, I am shunting all my meds. I will start allopurinol soon after my sugars are under control. On Tuesday I learn how to use insulin to control my diabetes to help me through this crohns flare, who knows I may need to be on prednisone and that plays havoc with blood sugars. My gastro comes back from Europe end of next week and I'm sure he'll be I. Touch with any scoping or pill cams required. I know need to take 8 lax sachets to move my bowels as they've seized up since Saturday. I'm not blocked as I can still fart, so can little Jammer, phewy, totally hold your nose doggy farts.

Trysha best of luck for your op on tues..hope all goes smoothly hun and it really helps you get back on your feet. Big hugs 💕

Hope everyone elses issues resolve quickly .
We have a marathon to run soon and a christmas eve party to attend so heres hoping we can cause havoc at both events...😃 :ghug:

Trysha I can't begin to imagine how you feel.I remember how tough things were for you last time. But the London Marathon is not until April so you've got loads of time (all of you) to get fit.If you're still struggling a bit,we could do the three legged race, but I'm sure you'll be fine. When life kicks you in the face, get up and kick it right back.
As for the rest of you.....training will commence in the New Year.No excuses.

hi every one hope everyone is doing ok, a quick question , has anyone any alternatives to fresubin (protein drink ) they are trying to get my weight up and I just cant drink the fresubin , I have tried and it just makes me nauseous .

Tony , when I had my first flare, they had me on Ensure but check the ingredients for carregeenan. There is also Boost but again check the ingredients.

I'm having a good few days. Yesterday hubby took me out for sushi, yum! I stuffed my face, it was wonderful. Today I won a silent auction at work - got my dog a new brush and a bunch of dog treats, she'll be quite happy about that. And my scarves that I had donated, they netted $20 for charity.

Today is also one of my favorite days - it's $2 pants day! :D There's a local thrift store that puts something different on sale every Thursday, and rarely (like every 2 or 3 months) they'll do a $2 pants day where all pants (jeans, business trousers, workout pants, even skirts) are $2. I've found pants that are designer brand, even some that are brand new with tags still on, for $2. I absolutely love $2 pants day! :) So I'm heading over there soon to go bargain hunting. Wish me luck!

And, my Green Bay Packers play again tonight, and we're taking on our #1 rivals - the Chicago Bears! We must win this game, we just have to, we cannot lose to the Bears. So, Mandy, I need your predictive luck to work in my favor this time! Maybe your luck was just delayed last time? ;) I'm sure it'll work this time though!

Tomorrow there's a sale at the fabric store, a certain brand of sewing pattern is going to be on sale for only $2 apiece (I'm finding a lot of $2 sales lately!). So I'm going to go buy some patterns, there's one in particular I really want - it's a pattern for really cute pajamas, and I'm going to use my new cute fabric and make myself some pajamas. :)

So, if all goes well with getting my sewing patterns, I'm going to settle in and do some more sewing this weekend. I still need to make niece #2's pillow, and my pajamas, and I also have some fabric that I'm going to make a poncho/cape/coat out of. And, it's supposed to be a really nice weekend (60s F and sunny), and I'm actually not feeling awful, so I may also take my dog out for a hike. It's really gorgeous here right now, with the leaves all changing color, so I think my dog and I need to get out in nature for a bit.

So yeah, sales and bargains and hiking and sewing and football and sushi and dog treats! :D All good things!

I'm happy to hear you're having a blast Cat.I especially love the $2 pants idea.Who doesn't love a bargain ? I'm going to try to get motivated tomorrow.I don't much like who I am lately.I'm putting it down to the shingles and a mild flare combined. But tomorrow is another day Toto.

You can do it, Carol! Any particular thing you're trying to get motivated to do? Even if it's something small, any accomplishment can make you feel a lot better. The other day, I went through my nail polish collection and cleaned out anything that was old, dried out, almost empty, icky, just not a good color on me, etc. I got rid of half my nail polish! I had about 2 shoe boxes full and I got it down to one shoebox. That felt like a great accomplishment even though it was something small and silly. And now I know that I have a good assortment of cute, not dried out nail polish. I picked one out that I'm going to paint my nails this weekend (it's sparkly - the sparkly ones are my favorite, so pretty). So even if it's just a little thing like that, it can make you feel really good. I got rid of some junk and I can now better access my pretty sparklies. :D Win-win!

Hey cat please get me some pants... wish we had that near me...
Bargins galore in your neck of the woods girl. 💕

Carol ye any thing accomplished is good no matter how small . You go girl 👍💕

Love to all. :ghug:

I agree Carol, focus on the things you can accomplish rather than the things you're not up to at the moment. You are one tough cookie, although you also have a gentle side for others and obviously know how to take care of yourself, so apply both to yourself.
Tony, I really feel for you. I have a high tolerance for pain (with limits, of course), but one thing I can't stand is nausea. I think there is not much worse, but I can't offer any intelligent suggestions as I'm not underweight. And with the nature of the beast, what brings most of us here, we've pretty much all dealt with nausea (tho I joined this forum because hubby has crohn's, me other med problems, but since have had my own share of GI problems).
Cat, regarding shampoo, because I seem to get psoriatic like patches if not actual psoriasis (never officially diagnosed so don't know), I alternate between "Head and Shoulders" and "Selsum Blue," and deep condition occasionally. I like the SB by far, though, but more expensive. I also find the medicated shampoo leaves my hair less damaged than other shampoos. For awhile, I tried a craze that was going around social media and used a "no poo" method (no shampoo, that is, lol). I just used apple cider vinegar mixed with water (1/3 vinegar) with a few drops of essential oil in it to make it smell better, and no shampoo at all. The smell is not so pleasant when applying it and hair still wet, and you have to be careful to rinse completely out and not get in your eyes, but I know my hair and scalp were in better condition when I did that. It is much more Ph balanced than most hair products. The problem with it is, like I said, the smell when applying it, tho surprisenly doesn't smell at all when dry, and the hair feels rough and tangled while drying out, takes longer to comb out and feels like it would be weaker, but it's actually in better shape once it is dry, smooth, shinny and strong. I think I'm going to go back to using that, it just takes more work.
Kirsty, I hope your meds get straightened out without too much problem and you start feeling better soon. It sounds like you might have a partial obstruction, and I hope that gets better soon also.
Trysha, I will also keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you get through this surgery. Won't it be nice to have a knee that doesn't ache so much? Everyone, keep sending Trysha positive thoughts and vibes!
As for the marathon, of course, we have until April so I guess the Christmas Eve party is first. What would everyone like to do this year? I was thinking of taking us all to Canyonlands and Arches National Park, one of my favorite spots. Madhu made it semi close, but not quite there, recently. It should be beautiful in winter, maybe a light dusting of snow, so bring your jackets.

Im in for that trip Sandy sounds beautiful hun ☺
My left knee caved in on me at work today 😯 ouch!!. Sharp pain on putting pressure on it when climbing the ladder....mmmm maybe im getting old !!
Ssh tho dont tell anyone im getting old 👌😃💕

Sandy, thanks for the info! I have heard of going no 'poo but I haven't been brave enough to try it. I might have to look into that further! Do you still use conditioner when doing no 'poo? And those parks sound beautiful! I would love to come but it's a bit far for me, plus I apparently am training for a marathon so I'm sure that'll keep me busy. ;)

I made out like a bandit at $2 pants day! (Sorry Mandy, I bought all the good pants for myself, ha ha!) I got 7 pairs of pants and 1 skirt. The skirt fits wonderfully - sometimes skirts seem to sort of pinch in the wrong area of my belly when they have a zipper, but this one doesn't pinch at all, it's very comfy - and it has pockets! It's also very cute, I love it. It's floofy! :p As for pants, I got 2 pairs of name-brand jeans, 1 pair of corduroy pants for winter, 1 pair of yoga pants, and 3 pairs of sweatpants (one of which is green fleece and so fuzzy and comfy, also with pockets!). Major score! My size has fluctuated a bit, and is currently up thanks to pred, so to get a bunch of nice pants that fit really well and are flattering on me, that was a really nice self-esteem boost.

Aw cool glad you got some great pants at a great price hun.
Must keep aan eye out for some myself im i need of some that fit as most of mine are to big now 😕. Oh to gain some weight.. 💕

Mandy, I hope you can gain some weight healthily soon! It's not easy, I know. I've lost and then gained and my whole body composition has changed, it's been an interesting time. Between July and August, I lost 17 lbs due to a flare. I had been fairly muscular/athletic before the flare, so I think a lot of what I lost was muscle mass. Then I was put on IV steroids and then pred, so I gained a lot of weight back quickly, but of course it all came back as fat. So my weight in numbers on the scale is now the same as what it was before the flare, but my belly and face seem so chubby now and I can tell I've lost a lot of muscle mass and my body is comprised of much more fat and less muscle now, and clothes fit me very differently than they did before. Sooo, I'd currently like to lose some flab and get my muscle back. I need to get back into remission and start lifting weights again! But in the meantime, at least I have pants that fit my current body.

Ta hun, i do struggle to gain or keep weight on since i had reversal of ileostomy. Even when i had that i was a stone underweight but a stone n half heavier than now.. oh battles ☺

Did someone mention a party? Much preferred to the premature holiday atmosphere in the stores lately.

Yep, party. And Cat, it's a party that everyone comes to whether they really make it here or not (shhh! Nobody does) so you're coming whether you like it or not. :rof:
Shanen, you can forget all about work for awhile. And nobody will have to worry about bringing food (unless you want to), making beds or doing housework because I just decided we need a week to enjoy the splendors of the red rock wilderness, so we'll be staying in some luxory accommodation with maid service, cooks, chauffers, etc. Most likely some guest ranch outside of the centrally located small town of Moab. We'll have to save the white water rafting for another time because it will be too cold. Of course, we'll have a nurse and a world renowned doc on standby, only a stone's throw away (but nobody's going to need them). In the evenings, star gazing is a must from there, so far from city lights.
Well, gotta go for now.
But Kirsty, you must bring Jammer. And of course your corgi, Cat. And Allie will be on her best behavior with all the dogs, though she isn't now. (She's good with kids and wants to play with cats, they just don't want to play with her. :( )
This time I'm really going, the bathroom is calling and so are my eyelids. 'Bye!

Sandy, I will bring my corgi, Lily, but she is also going to want to play with the cats. :p My cat is lukewarm at best with the dog, but Lily looooves her kitty. Sometimes, Lily will try to engage the cat in play, and the cat is just not having it. But I want to encourage them to play so I'll yell, "Best Friends!" at them. Then the cat will run to another room and Lily will give me a big smile. She knows they're best friends, ha ha.

I want to go hiking in red rock country! I just got myself new hiking shoes on sale and hubby gave me a new walking stick, so I'm all set. Where are we hiking, Sandy? I need to see some pretty photos of the red rocks. :)

Absolutely, Ron, bring yours too! I was going to say for everyone who wants to being their furry friends, bring them, but I forgot. All cats and dogs invited. We might as well add a cat and dog day care for while we are hiking, etc. Pics coming tomorrow.

P.S. It's just before 11pm here on Thursday, but for Doug Thursday is like Friday, he has Fridays off. Happy weekend!
