CYY, thank you for all the support you give everyone even though I know you are not feeling well yourself. I've had enough GI problems that I can't imagine having to be on modulen for my diet, or even LOFFLEX.
That was very interesting about you hearing there might be a connection between CD and SVT (I have SVT and some GI problems, thus far only diagnosed as GERD, IBS and gastroparesis, with at least one good case of gastritis in the past. And, of course, I am married to Doug who does have Crohn's.) I did some Googling and think you are wise to just not worry about about that connection unless there is proof to be a direct link. It does appear a lot of people think there is a connection, but after everything I read, I suspect the link is superficial as your doctor suggested. But also keep in mind that doctors do not know all the connections of everything ... Practicing medicine is still just that, practicing. For myself, it is a balancing act of listening to my body, and listening to and following directions of those who have had years of schooling that I haven't. I also think there is a big body/mind connection so meditation can't hurt.

That said I'm not as grouchy today, but still on the grouchy side. Yesterday I was extremely grouchy until "date night" which consisted of Doug driving me to the cardio office before they closed to drop off an overnight home oxygen level test I did Friday night, then to a movie which I enjoyed immensely ("Hidden Numbers"), then to pick up more compression stockings, then to pick up meds at the pharmacy, then home to a packaged, not so good for us frozen dinner. Whew! I'm glad we were able to get at least one fun thing in there.
Almost first thing this morning I got a call from the cardio office telling me that even with my C-PAP, my oxygen levels were below what they wanted 9% of the time, so now I have to go in for another sleep study (in a clinic this time) to adjust my C-PAP level and/or see if I need oxygen in addition. Oh joy!
( Does anyone feel like at least half your tests lead to more tests?)
I will also "ditto" what Mandy and others have said. Those who are not doing well get better, and those who are doing well, keep it up.

Hope you guys feel better soon. IBD sucks! We are still waiting on MRI results for S, so we can proceed further

Do you guys ever find it ridiculous when a supposed medical professional can't pronounce things that they really should know how to pronounce? I just went to the vet to pick up a refill of pred for my cat. I asked the lady at the desk for my cat's refill and gave her my cat's name. She was like, "Oh yes, you're picking up the... pred... nul... soh?" Um, yes, I'm picking up the PREDNISONE. She went back and got the bottle and came back and said, "Okay, here's your cat's prednal... zone." Um, seriously? It is not that hard of a word AND you work in a vet's office! I'm not just being picky, right? Someone who works in any type of medical office, be it animal or human, should really know how to pronounce the medication that they're dispensing? That's just, like, a bare minimum, right?

I get to see my G.I. tomorrow. Just a followup. My flare is doing much better now that I am on weekly Humira. I think I will talk to the G.I. about going off of Budesonide now.

Doug so glad your doing much better now ☺💕

Cat yes in they should....but to be fair some people just have trouble with saying certain words . I know i do,on a few words,i know how it should be pronounced it just comes out wrong 😃😃💕

Hi Today marks six months without drinking a drop of alcohol or any kind of wine! six months of eating seven fruit and veg a day, drinking 10 glasses of water, no carbs and no red meat, with lots of 8 hr sleeps. The change in my body has been fantastic! I feel great, I lost weight and my way of thinking is very positive! I'm looking to keep this up because I choose to! No alcohol, eat only healthy foods, get lots of sleep and above all, an hour of exercise every day!
I don't know whose status this is, but I was so happy for them, I copied and pasted it !!

Trev.I've just won the National Lottery and I've made the finals of Miss World and Britains got talent.......I know you're not surprised one bit.

I haven't won anything. :p Okay, once when I was like 5 years old, I came in second place in a drawing contest (I drew Captain Hook stabbing a giraffe in the neck with his sword - how did that fine art not win first place??).

I went to the G.I. today. I was told that the Humira rep. has decided not to provide the samples to keep me on weekly Humira. I am back in remission. I am going back to Humira every other week. If that doesn't work, then I will have to start another treatment.

I am sick of everything being decided by money.

The good news is that I am going off budesonide as of today.

Doug, it just never ends, does it! That sucks, I'm sorry, and I hope you stay in remission after all this. I'm pretty lucky, being on LDN - it's not covered by my insurance, but it's only about $40 for a month's supply. Insurance can't yank it away from me though since I'm paying out of pocket for it. And I think I'm getting back into remission, too. Hopefully we both have nice long remissions!

It is an appalling state of affairs that drug companies are allowed to control sick peoples lives so that they make more profits.
Fortunately that is not the case here in Ontario.
Sorry to hear you are having that struggle Doug andhope your remission lasts forever
In the continuing story of me...Today I met with the orthopaedic surgeon and had X-rays done
He is very pleased with the pictures...they did look good and he said the pain has to be managed with narcotics and gaveme the prescription.
He half killed me with the examinations he did...making me straighten my leg completely..painful...
And then palpating the knee ..painful...then pushing my leg backwards,carefully...very painful...then he said it's alll normal just takes more time and it's early days yet
That's the good news...bad that I have to tolerate it all for maybe a few more months...he said some people find the pain leaves abruptly. I am looking forward to that happening as soon as possible.
Meantime I have to take the narcotics.....not doing that during the day but I will at night since I need the sleep and that's when it's worst.
Hope everyone here is feeling better
Trysha

Congratulations on your big wins Carol....as if.....

Hi all.

Oh Doug what a shame...im sorry that its been reduced to bi weekly . Its about time your health care was better. Were it was at least free for chronic illness or at the very least very cheap.Hope and pray you stay in remission for a long time...💖💖

Trysha ouch that must have been a very painful visit. I do hope the pain goes abruptly and does so soon. Hang in there hun 💕💕

Necessities are unpacked. Decorations are on the walls, spare bedrooms are functional and the shed is full waiting for springtime to arrive before I tackle that stuff. It's time to clean bathrooms and wash floors so I must be settling in.

Saw the orthopaedic surgeon yesterday and had the required X-rays which looked really good....everything in its place....boggles the mind to reflect on this replacement surgery....an entire joint removed and then replaced with high class metal, titanium, and plastic.
I
Hope God won't mind his handiwork being reassigned but the He has given the gifts to these dedicated doctors to enable them to perform these surgeries and allow us to keep living a somewhat normal life.
It was good to hear from the surgeon that it is still early days for the recovery I am seeking but that some people do make sudden recoveries unexplainable but it happens
He said I was recovering well but must take narcotics to ease the pain and especially to provide a good night's sleep.
Something I haven't had since the surgery.
So last night was better with the morphine ...looking forward to better days as soon as possible.
He made no mention of the Bakers cyst so hopefully that is not the problem...time will tell
There were about 40 patients ahead of me but I had been warned it would be a long wait...
I had my trusty iPad with me.this hospital is the only one that allows free internet connections......really nice of them....everywhere else it's at a premium
It was a two hour wait but worth it and the doctors personality is so bubbly as well as professional...no sign of fatigue at all...and he alone is seeing all these patients...now that is a special gift...he also is very good looking it all helps to inspire confidence...especially when he half kills you with all the manipulation he does for the evaluation
Shanen you must be very weary with all that work but it sure is worth it when the dust settles....make sure you have adequate rest breaks.
Hope all of you are feeling better today and with nicer weather
News here of a skater who has discovered a beautiful ice forest for a good skate
I would sooner sit by the fireside with a roaring chimney and a really good book...
day dreaming again...forgot I live in an apartment no fires or smoking allowed
Nearly time for physiotherapy again...moans and groans...but then where would we be without these accomplished professionals...up the creek without a paddle
Have a good day Everyone
Cheers!
Trysha

Trysha, ice skating in a forest sounds right up my alley! I love forests and I love ice skating (although I'm not very good at it - when I was a teenager I used to be able to skate backwards and do front & back crossovers and a little bit of a spin, but nowadays I can basically just skate forward and mostly not fall over, ha ha). I would love to go ice skating in a forest!

I'm going to be offline completely tomorrow. It's inauguration day for that horrible man so I'm avoiding all TV and internet tomorrow. I don't want to pay any attention to that nonsense. I'm hoping to escape to the woods for some hiking with my dog. I hope everyone else can have a nice & peaceful day tomorrow as well.

Shanen, I am glad you are settling in. Trysha, that does boggle the mind about what can be done medically to fix our bodies doesn't it? I am so glad you are getting relief from the pain at night now. I start my own therapy tomorrow, cardio therapy. Basically, "snoopervised" cardio workouts so I don't overdo or under do, both of which are bad for my condition. Trev, congrats on your sobriety, all 16 years worth:ysmile:. Madhu, glad you and hubby are doing well. Mandy, when you come to Utah, should either one of us fall down which results in one of us grabbing onto the other person and thus knocking us both down, we can enjoy the treats together. :hug:I Loved your lollipop analogy by the way. Speaking of falling, I hope you are less achy and healing fast Kirst. Ron, I hope your back is doing better today. It makes it hard to do anything when your back is acting up. Carol, I hope you don't forget your LOW friends now that you have won the national lottery. I hope you use your winnings to fund a research group that finds a cure for Crohn's and Colitis. And that will probably leave you undiagnosed forever Cat. How are you and your grandmother doing? Tony and CYY, how are each of you doing? And anyone else that I left out? (Dave, are you lurking?)
Hugs to all. :ghug::heart::heart::heart:

Aww, Allie looks sleepy and cozy. I forget, how old is Allie? She's a bit grey in the face, she looks like she's a bit older? My Lily is 8, going to be 9 in September, so she's getting a bit grey in the face too. But still runs around like a crazy puppy. :)

My grandma hasn't had any further "incidents" so far (knock on wood). I saw her this past Saturday and she seemed okay - well, her version of okay. Her dementia is getting worse all the time, and she wasn't in the best mood, but I brought her a scarf as a present and ended up giving her my scarf too, so she was happy to get presents. She really wanted a pashmina scarf because she kept admiring the one I had. I thought pink was her favorite color, so I got her a pink scarf and I wore my blue one - then she told me that she likes blue best and that gee my blue scarf sure was pretty. :p So I just gave her both. Whatever makes her happy! And they weren't expensive.

Sandy, what kind of cardio do they have you doing? I like exercise but I'm definitely more of a weightlifting fan than cardio. Although I do like getting outdoors on my bicycle, or hiking in the woods, but indoor cardio just isn't my thing. I have a treadmill and a stationary bike, but I find it gets boring fast walking/cycling to nowhere. Hopefully you can stay entertained while doing your cardio. And that must be tricky to do just the right amount (length of time, intensity?) of cardio! How do they gauge that - heart rate monitor?

Looks delicious Sandy...think I'll come over to your house and play hunt the candies....
Sorry I bored everyone with a repeat...well partial... regarding my encounter with the orthopedist. That's the problem with taking hard drugs and that's only one dose!!!
Will be very careful in the future.I am sure it's not my age!!
Physiotherapy was really tough today and he gave me the three warning signs of blood clots.....really appreciated that ..(not)
It is bliss now...sitting with my feet up and no pain.....well not till I stand anyway.... not doing that any time soon.
The weather has warmed up and it's a balmy 2degrees...amazing for this time of year...I almost put on springtime lighter clothes....thought better on it though.....don't want any colds or flu..

She is 13 going on 14. Allie definitely is slowing down and cannot jump like she use to. But she still enjoys walks. She has some joint pain and of course is fighting her colitis. She is lucky that way. No biologics for her, only specialized food.

Trycia, make sure that while you are sitting for extended periods of time you move your legs as much as possible. This will help prevent blood clots as they tend to form more by those who are sedentary. Even just wiggling the legs helps, or even having your feet do circular motions from the ankle will get the blood moving. Cat, to answer your question I don't know exactly what kind of cardio they are going to have me do yet as tomorrow is my first time, but since I've been to that rehab facility for other things, I know they have things like stationary bikes and they have equipment for monitoring the heart. I suspect they will add some strength training (weights or exercise bands) to keep the ability there to do the cardio. The ironic thing is that the PT who is in charge of the cardiac unit (and will be my main therapist) is the same therapist I had last time I did any PT (that time to try to help alleviate my migraines). And this is a large facility. I also know that it is all supervised by a cardiologist who is actually there on site. It will be interesting to see what they do.

Hi Sandy....
Thank you for the information....I am a very active individual and used to walking six miles plus daily since I live in a scenic area this is not hard to do .....I have been a very athletic person until recent years with illnesss that has slowed things down.
Since I am improving ...even though it's a way to go yet...I still go out for daily walks regardless of pain and discomfort and tailor the length of time I am walking...with a walker of course.i can always sit down for a rest
I cannot negotiate ice and snow though...but currently the snow has disappeared...not for long I'm sure.
The previous post does not reflect the activity badly written.
I have five pages of exercises to complete at least once daily more as tolerated...I usually manage once a day plus twice a week I have sessions with the physiotherapist which is quite intense.
There is always the fear of blood clots though and I had a bad episode just before Christmas
Blood clots were ruled out at that time.
It will be interesting to see what they get you doing in the gym...maybe nothing tooo strenuous to start.
Do you still have lots of snow banks to negotiate...
Cat..that was so lovely of you to give those two scarves to your grandmother...she will treasure them even though she may not be able to communicate this to you.
Morpheus now beckons me ...sleepy...and so to bed.
Trysha

Aw Sandy Allie is so cute ☺
Hope the cardio goes well hun. 💕💖

Trysha hope your soon buzzing about pain free. Things take time to get right...frustrating waiting tho i know. 💖💖
Hope everyone has a good day . Much love n hugs 💝💞💕

Hey Sandy (and everyone else), the past few days have been an emotional roller-coaster for me, but I'm doing fine today. Thanks for all of your concern, and here's a hug of encouragement for everyone. Get well soon, guys!
(づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

Things got a bit rough between my dad and I a couple of days ago, and the main issue was about my CD diagnosis and money for treatment. But no worries, I've tried my best to resolve that already. Suffice to say that my dad hasn't really come to terms about me having Crohn's, he feels stressed and sad that I'm sick, but doesn't really know how to express it, and thus responded by shouting at me. Anyways, all that is behind us now, I've forgiven him and let bygones be bygones.

On another note, my form teacher read a memo from my dietician, which I had submitted some 3 weeks ago, and was wondering what's up with my constant medical appointments. Basically, the memo briefly explained what Crohn's was all about, why I was on EEN, and the reader is told to keep this information confidential. Apparently, she felt that the explanation did not enlighten her in any way, so she approached me personally, and asked me to specifically describe what I was going through. Well, I did, and the first thing she asked me was, "Is this disease contagious?" Frankly speaking, I thought that was a little insensitive of her, but I tried to answer with a nonchalant "no".

Although both anecdotes may seem to be unrelated, but upon reflection, I've learnt that life goes on as usual with Crohn's, and that the sooner we learn to deal with it, the better it will be for all of us. People may have our welfare at heart and would like to show concern, but sometimes, things just go south and end up backfiring on them. I guess if we could scratch past the surface meaning of things and try to put ourselves into other people's shoes, the world would be a much more understanding place.

Just my two cents about the weird and chaotic world around me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tony and CYY, how are each of you doing? And anyone else that I left out? (Dave, are you lurking?)
Hugs to all. :ghug::heart::heart::heart:

Hey Sandy I'm not too bad . waiting for biopsy results and should have them next week , hope everyone else is feeling better .

That was insensitive of her, CYY. Sending good wishes your way. I hope your dad comes to terms with it too!

Hi everyone. Is anyone watching the orange inauguration? I'm intrigued to see what kind of legacy he is going to set!

CYY, I agree, that was insensitive of your teacher, and must have been a very hard situation to deal with your dad, but also agree that you handled it beautifully. It is interesting to watch how others deal with IBDs, I find it usually is with a complete lack of understanding. I remember when a couple of years ago or some of my family asked Doug at a family reunion/camping trip how he was doing with it, but then didn't want to hear his answer. :(
Tony, I'm glad you're "not to bad." I hope the biopsy results turn out well for you.
Trysha, I knew that you had always kept as active as you could (and good for you!), I was just worried you weren't able to move so well at present. You are quite the gal to go walking (weather permitting) even with a walker!
I had my therapy this morning, and it went well but I'm exhausted, but that's also due to lack of sleep as I keep late hours generally. (After explaining the program which is called a "stage 2 cardio rehab program," usually used for those just out of a hospital who have had a heart attack, etc.) they took my vitals, hooked me up to a portable EKG, had me do some stretching then exercised large muscle groups (bike, treadmill, etc.) all while trying to keep my comfort level (from chart they use) at "fairly light to somewhat hard" range, and heart rate at not more than 110 per minute. (They do give a break between each exercise.)
I thought that keeping my heart rate under 110 was going to be a challenge as it hoovers around 90 by just getting up and walking a few steps (like into the building from the car) but it was doable by going slow (which I have to somewhat because of mobility and balance issues anyway.) But I feel like I had a workout. Then they printed out my heart readings, took other vitals, and gave me instructions to walk 7 minutes per day in addition to therapy three times a week, increasing by one minute every 2-3 days, up to 20 minutes, keeping heart rate down under 110 and comfort level moderate. As you can see, I can't do much for now but I'm excited to see where this can get me.
In the meantime, a shipment from amazon just got here with two pair of new Dansko shoes, a pair of boots (I need orthopeadic shoes) and much cuter compression socks than you can get in the stores around here. Happy retail therapy to me also!
Hugs to all.
Oh, and Madhu, I listened to the swearing in of the new VP and Pres on the way home, and part of Trump's speech on radio then telly at home, listened to the music and pomp and circumstance in there somewhere, then watched the Obamas take off in the helicopter after. It will be interesting to see where this country goes with the new changes. Interesting times is all I can say.

Sandy I like your posts...
Good that you have had the first cardio session....now you know what is expected of you.Hope they don't overdo it though.
Such a wet day here today...have been waiting for it to dry up....no such luck....have to wait till tomorrow for my fresh air walking exercise.
Winning.....

Glad the therapy went well Sandy , my heart rate is always around the high 80's ,low 90's and that's standing still as well ,
Hey Trysha , great to see you are doing a bit better , getting out in the fresh air really helps with body and even more importantly the mind ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It's Jammer time! We are home again. Great to be back in ones own bed. It's raining here too.

We have had snow all day here. About 6-8 inches. I just blew the snow off our driveway and sidewalks. Fun.

What a lovely picture of Jammer....he's obviously waiting for peace and quiet and a good snooze...Kirsty
Nothing like being home after a long journey.
Doug we have had fog all day, cold and damp...odd weather for us this time of year....gets better on Monday bday...snow forecast...
Glad I don't have to clear the snow anymore....
Tony is it the forum makes your heart pit a pat....just kidding....do you have to take medication for it?---
Busy day ....shopping and looking for a new iPad cover...too many cheap ones out there...came back empty handed...oh well!..always another day
Trysha

Jammer is getting bigger, but maintaining every ounce of cuteness he has. Lately, I'm ready to give Allie away as she has developed a fetish for jumping on my chest which makes me want to cough more (still have cough from lung function study), and sits and stares at me and whines for 10-30 minutes at a time several times a day. And this has been going on for days. I can't for the life of me figure out what she wants. She's doing it right now. :(
Hey, Tony, does your heart rate go up proportionately when you exercise? Aren't doctors concerned about your higher than normal rate? Do they attribute it to your IBD? I'm glad my heart rate slowed down from what it was a month and a half ago (resting rate, it was over 100). I was totally wiped out. And then some. Now I'm just wiped out. My norm seems to have stabilized, but gone up about 15 bpm overall from a few months ago. At least it doesn't bother me at rest any more.
Gripe over.
Carol, how are you doing?

Sandy...I think Allie is trying to let you know she needs some attention.
Maybe she is not feeling well...perhaps a pain somewhere....or
Maybe she wants a treat.
She could also be worried about you...poor girl....give her a cuddle from me...
Hope you are feeling better
Just can't sleep tonight and I had plenty of exercise today....it's very foggy out there tonight...no star gazing possible..

We have wild wind tonight 140 kmph gusts. The sea is pounding. I'm tired I'll try and shut my eyes [emoji102]

nope Trysha no medication , I'm just an excitable person in general , lots of energy to burn off but my body won't co-operate , hopefully now that I'm able to get out and about a lot more I will get fitter , I will start swimming in the sea in the early summer (or what passes for a summer here ) and that helps a lot ,
have you tried the Australian company STM , I got a nice case for my laptop from them and they do some nice covers for iPads,

hey Sandy , doctors never seemed bothered by it , I just seem to have a high resting rate , it does spike whenever I see WHITE coat approaching though , I wonder why ? I never had it checked when I exercise so I don't know
Glad your resting rate had lowered Sandy .

Just can't sleep tonight and I had plenty of exercise today....it's very foggy out there tonight...no star gazing possible..

Gave her extra cuddles. I have considered all of the above and just can't figure it out. I've tried extra play time, treats, and tried to figure out if she hurts somewhere, but she is so stoic she won't show what hurts until she literally can't move that body part anymore. I do know when I was having seizures she would often alert beforehand, but I'm not having seizures anymore. I do wonder if she can tell something else is amiss with me. I just know she is trying to tell me something and when this happens at first I feel bad for her as I can't figure out what she wants, but it gets wearing as it goes on and on and I can't do anything. But I still feel bad (except when she is most obnoxious, which seems to happen too often.) She is just settling down from an episode now, and this part I like as right now she is half sitting on the couch, and half laying across my lap, extra cuddly.

Thank you for the info Tony...
Is that the Irish Sea behind you....it's very scenic ...and very handy for you to go paddling....or fishing...you could have a whale of a time...
Sandy...dogs are very sensitive and astute....when is your next cardio session...
Have you thought of telling her that you are ok ....maybe she needs a checkup....could have toothache..or earache. Must be frustrating for her that you don't get her messages.

Hi peeps...iv been awol a little lately. Been a mad day or so. Keep well everyone who is and hope those not to well feel much better very soon. 💕💕💕💕
BIG HUGS

My background colour just became a nice shade of green......is it a psychic message from the Emerald Isle?
Did the webmaster change the site colour?
What happened.?

My background color is the same. Can settings of background be changed according to a person's wants? I'll have to check on that if nobody else knows off the top of their heads and answers quickly.
Dogs are indeed sensitive and astute, you are correct, Trysha. Also, I think I will bring Allie in for a checkup, although a little early. Every vet check she has had since we got her, the vet has always commented on a loose tooth, but said her teeth look otherwise healthy. About three months ago she lost that tooth and seemed to perk up for awhile, but I think her teeth need a good cleaning (her breath is bad), and now I'm starting to wonder if it's connected to something else. I'm also starting to wonder if she is diabetic as she has been quite thirsty lately. Poor old gal. I told her today to speak human so I could understand, but she just said "wuf, I can't. You speak dog," with those big brown eyes. Maybe it's her tummy, I just don't know. She is getting quite deaf now, and doesn't see very well (cataracts). She always follows me from room to room if she is awake, but when asleep if she wakes up and tries to find me, sometimes she walks right past me, even when I call out "I'm here Allie." She just keeps searching until either I call out louder or make large movements so she can see where I am. It sure is hard to stay mad at someone (dogs are people too) who loves you so much, even when she gets obnoxious.
Mandy, nice to see you. Hope things are settling down and you are well.
I don't think I can go walking today for my paltry few minutes as it's snowing quite heavily right now. We ended up with a couple more inches after Doug cleared the driveway yesterday too. I'm ready for spring.

Thank you for the info Tony...

.

Hey Trysha I dont think I would be doing much paddling there ,wouldn't mind doing some fishing there though,
Its the Atlantic ocean viewed from the cliffs of Moher in County Clare on the west coast of Ireland , its one of the most beautiful spots in the country if not the world ,

Regarding the forum changing color: Trysha, scroll down and look at the bottom left corner of the screen. Do you see a drop-down menu? It might say "Green_theme". Click that drop-down and select "Crohn's Default" and that should fix it. There are a few different "skins" for the forum and it looks like one is green (I only ever use the default skin). I just tried it myself, and sure enough, it turned everything green.

Thanks Cat....the green was driving me insane
Tony..that was a surprise answer...I sailed the Atlantic to get to Canada..Quebec City where we were delayed because of a hole in the side of the ship..the Carinthia,Cunard line.
It hit an iceberg as we were entering the seaway.
We were safe but delayed.cant think why I did not recognise it in your picture,,?.
Sandy...Allie could have a toothache poor little one....sounds as if your weather will keep you indoors for a while
We have thick fog still....snow in the forecast for tomorrow...then we'll be slip sliding in the fog....sooner be singing in the rain.......
Trysha

Tony...thank you for the pictures...very nice
Sandy...if you follow the advice Cat sent to me you can change the colour by clicking on crohns default at the bottom left corner of the page.

Absolutely loved the pics Tony. Beyond beautiful. I wouldn't mind visiting there some day. Trysha, that cruise sounds terrifying to me, but I know that there are a lot of safeguards in place that didn't used to be there. I've only been on one cruise, went to Catalina Island then down to Baja Mexico with a couple of my sisters. Absolutely loved it! I need to get Doug on one with me, he's never been, and it's on my bucket list to take an Alaskan cruise with him. Some day!
Stay safe, Ron.

Wow, great pictures Tony! The scenery is really beautiful and I felt a sense of serenity just by looking at them. It is pictures like these that make me appreciate the wonders of the physical environment, taking away all my worries, troubles and stress from Crohn's and school. Really want to thank you for that! (•‿•)

Since we're on the subject of beautiful pictures, I just thought it'd be nice to share with everyone here a picture of a sunset taken from a plane 4 years ago. Hopefully you all will be able to experience the sense of calmness and peacefulness that I did, and be awed by the works of nature. Enjoy! ^^

You guys make me want to travel more! Tony, Ireland is definitely on my bucket list, it looks like a gorgeous place from your photos. Sandy, I've been to Utah but your photos are always so beautiful that it makes me want to go back - I love the Southwestern US in general, it's so pretty and so different from my area of the US. CYY, is Singapore beautiful as well? I have traveled to Japan and absolutely loved it, and that made me want to explore other parts of Asia as well. I think South Korea is first on my Asia travel wish list just because I speak a few words in Korean and can read it as well, but I'd also like to go to Singapore. Now that I'm finally (hopefully) getting back into remission, I've got the travel bug! LDN is doing good things for me. :) Now I just need to scrape together the money for traveling, easier said than done...

Oh i would love to visit so many places ...but you are right Cat its a costly hobby. Anyone up for doing a bank raid ?? 😆😆😆

Not sure if I have a cold or allergies. Winning.

I'm glad you're still winning, Ron. I think I will just hop on a plane and come visit every one of you and all of your areas, whether you like it or not.
Now I am winning!

Ron, there's been a nasty cold going around here lately, take care! I can always tell if it's a cold vs allergies, because when my immune system turns on to fight a cold, it also attacks my guts a little bit too. I always get an increase in gut symptoms when I have a cold, but not with allergies.

Mandy, I'm fascinated by 1930's bank robbers like John Dillinger and Baby Face Nelson, but being fascinated by them and being one is a big difference! I don't think I'm cut out for a life of crime. I even feel bad when I end up accidentally stealing someone else's pen! :p

The spare bed is made up n awaiting your arrival Sandy.. if you are lucky il go all out and put the kettle on too 😆😆😆

Sandy, you're free to come here and visit, but we're not very scenic right now. It's been day after day of fog and overcast skies and some rain. All our snow melted and everything is just muddy and icky right now. I want to go ice skating but all the ice melted! :(

Just an interesting bit of information, Doug used to have horrible allergies that lasted most of the year long. Once he had part of his intestines removed because of his Crohn's, his allergies disappeared.

Thanks, Cat.

Wisconsin is still one of my favorite vacation memories, and I have always wanted to see England. Especially the area my ancestors are from.
