Glad to hear you are getting back to normal trysha. Good news..
Love to all my friends hereπŸ’•

Baby Jaxon got to stay in hospital for 5/7days. Tried to get a lumber puncture of him but they couldnt get any fluid out. So he has to stay abit longer 😦.The good news is he is feeding a bit better today so fingers crossed its a good sign ☺

Toodles for now πŸ™‹πŸ’•

I'm amazed you're getting 30c over (up) there Trysha.Far too warm for me.It's been very disappointing weather wise in this part of the UK.We've hardly seen the sun in over a week.Sounds promising for Sunday though.I haven't begun to wear my summer clothes yet, although I have shed my vests and thick tights.hahaha.
As I cycled under a low hanging chestnut tree today,I noticed baby chestnuts sprouting forth.I thought,"hang on you lot,we've not had any summer yet"....Maybe they're usually starting at this time of year and I haven't noticed.I'm seeing things through different eyes from the bike.
It's nice you were taken care of by the gentle man.It makes such a difference doesn't it.And it's also nice that you shared it with us.
Have a good day all, don't overdo things.Give a smile to the next stranger you pass.It can make a big difference to some ones day.Even if others will think you're a looney.

Hi . Update on baby is he is feeding better and more alert, so he seems to be improving now...πŸ˜†
Im ok just want baby declared well n il be buzzin ☺

Love n best wishes to all πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Glad to hear our baby is improving Mandy
To our ailing LOW friends be well soon ......and happy
It is a bright sunny day here with pleasant breezes and temp 26C. So a bit cooler in the shade.
Sorry you have such a damper on summer over there Carol...the family said its cold and miserable..I will have to acquire my sparkly summer wings and fly over to England to redistribute the sun....
I am relaxing in my cool apartment with the TV set on the live aquarium channel...very tranquil..beautiful red, gold and blue fish among the corals..but steeling myself to go out to do necessary shopping etc.
Winning....

Is it catkins you are seeing Carol...or real nut formation...be careful not to get too close,
You might transform to one!!
By the way if you would like a warm up come over to my place awhile...
Lovely to have updates on the babe Mandy good news....make sure to get your rest though.
I am feeling better today...always happens before a GI appointment....this Wednesday...

Saw a friend today that I hadn't seen in about thirty years. That was good. Winning.

Don't you just love when that happens out of the blue
Bet you did a lot of catching up Ron...
Winning.....

I'm back in Taranaki for a couple of days working again [emoji3]
I sent an email to a NZ expert in Wilson's disease and gave home my results and asked him some questions. I wasn't really expecting him to reply but he did. He asked me for my latest results and I said that I havent had any since March. But I Could. Ask my GP to send me for some more. I think I may have progress from a man who knows a thing or two in Wilson's in NZ

That could be good news Kirsty.Fingers x'd.
It's a nice day today.Got the washing dried and put away, which is always a bonus.Went cycling with "bare arms" but there was a chill breeze off the sea.It didn't take long to acclimatise though.Hubby is having trouble keeping up with me now,but I have "gears" hahaha.Don't have a clue what to do with them mind you,it's all trial and error,as is everything,I'm sure you'll agree......Hope our Jaxon is much improved.I bet you can't wait to baby-sit Mandy.

Sounds like everyone is keeping busy. Happy to hear Jaxon is improving.

Hi everyone, we are back in the US :D Heavily jetlagged, falling asleep at random places [emoji14]

Hope everyone is doing good. Special congratulations on becoming granny, Mandy :)

Glad you are both safely home Madhu.I hope you had the best time ever, and that you were both fit and well.

Welcome back Madhu...you will be so jet lagged this week...good to hear from you..
Kirsty...hope you are feeling ok after work
Sounds as if you have found the right specialist for you and hope you will get the help you need very soon.
Good to see you gearing up well Carol...it will be easier negotiating steep hills with the right gear.
Winning.........

Hahaha, you'd laugh at what passes as a steep hill for me.But I'm not averse the pushing the bike uphill if I need to.I'm ok if I know it's coming though.Hubs says I went up one at 10mph the other day......ahead of him I might add.
It's a cool grey day here,so we're going to a Car boot sale (Garage type sale, not car parts though) in the country. It's warm and sunny inland, allegedly.Taking a pic-nic too.
Enjoy your day or what's left of it.

Sandy & Doug,where are you ???:confused2:

Mandy, happy to hear the newcomer is home and doing well.:ghug:

Hi Carol,
Sounds like a fun day for you with all that lovely exercise followed by a picnic...wish I was there.
The temperature has dropped here...going down to 7C tonight ...cool breezes today
Mandy...lovely to hear the babe is now home....he will thrive better there than hospital
like we all do
Had a disracting message from the GP office yesterday and could not understand it...something about the ENT specialist report on my hearing...I know it's deteriorating already....not surprising with all the rotten Meds we have and have had to take...
Now the line is busy all the time so can't resolve any issues till after my GI appointment
this morning...about to leave now.
Life would be dull without these little incidents...after all, what else have we to think about!!!
Have a good day all my friends on LOW
Winning......

Sandy & Doug,where are you ???:confused2:

Sandy has been fighting a major migraine the last couple of days. We have been busy the last while trying to chase back an invasion of small little rodents who have been stealing Allie's expensive specialized dog food. And we have been spending time with good fishing. I also have been busy with work.

Glad to hear Mandy's grand baby is home! And that Kirsty seems to have found the specialist she needs! Hope everyone is doing better.

Sorry to hear Sandy is not so good and hope she is better soon
Have you tried scattering mothballs around...supposed to repel rodents and others.
Good luck with that
Winning....

Thanks Trysha, I'm feeling much, much better tonight than even a few hours ago.
My, a lot has happened since I checked in last!
I just have to say I'm glad all of you are there, you are some of the best people I know! I just wish the common denominator wasn't something like health problems. :(
BTW Kirsty and Trev, my neighbors that live across the street from us are going to have house guests for about three months --- a couple from New Zealand! (The dry air from Utah helps him with a health condition of his own apparently.)
Hugzzz and best wishes to all. Fair warning tho, I'll be back tomorrow!

I thought you had abandoned us Mr.& Mrs. L., I've never had a migraine so can't imagine how bad they are.I'm just glad you're recovering somewhat. Is there nothing you can take that will help ?
We had a nice day in the countryside yesterday but I'm a wee bit tired today.I'm going to walk into town for an hour or two, then if I feel refreshed, will go for a cycle this afternoon.
It's a nice day,but rain is forecast for the weekend.Got to make the most of it folks.

Hey Sandy, find out where they come from and who they are. Wouldn't be surprised if between our families we knew them. They always say we have six degrees of separation. Maybe we could put that to the test? Glad to see you both back online. I could send you Wolf or Teesha to help with the invasion.

Facing Facts.....The loss of elasticity in ageing skin.
If I frown now,I can still be frowning 20 minutes later, while discussing something utterly
delightful........come on now,own up you lot !!!

Hey Carol, 2:30 am here. I got to sleep at midnight. Not sleeping is so frustrating at times.

You still awake K.,?.....It's horrible lying awake in the wee small hours eh ?
All sorts of stupid, unimportant things go through your mind, then is shrugged off in the morning light.I was a really light/bad sleeper for years until the doc 'scribed me Amitryptilyne to work with Tramadol. If he ever took me off them I'm afraid I might have to kill him !!! (joking in case I get investigated ) I hope I've been talking to myself and you are snuggled down all cosy.Sweet dreams x

Hi Dave, nice to see you! How are the dogs? How's the wife? (Not in that order. )
There must be a trend going, it's about 2:30 am here and I can't sleep either. My heart keeps racing and even tho the heart doc says it's a rather benign condition my heart has (for this aspect of my heart). I can't imagine that an often tachycardic heart (over 100 bpm) lasts as long as other slower hearts over a lifetime tho. I KNOW it wears me out when it happens at the moment. Or wakes me up, or keeps me awake as the case may be here. And I know this never happened before I had a "patch" put on my heart thru a catheter for an atrial septal defect (born with a hole on the heart that didn't close as it was supposed to after birth). I feel like I ran a marathon without any of the benefit, but like after an intense workout when heart beating fast, the ol body just doesn't want to sleep either. :( 😨
A different subject, does anyone know anything about whether magnetic therapy really works for aches and pains, etc.? I saw a sales presentation on some magnetic mattress pads, and I'm almost convinced, tho most western medicine claims it's a bunch of hogwash. Still, I don't trust western medicine entirely, and especially in the US think "big pharma" plays too much of a role in our healthcare.
To answer your question partially, K, I still don't know the names of our soon to be temporary NZ neighbors (the homeowners that will be hosting are temporarily out of town themselves) but know they are from Auckland from our previous discussion. I will let you know when I know. It is a rather small world, isn't it?
Well, off to watch some TV to get my mind distracted from wild thumping in my chest while Doug and Allie Zzzzzzzzzzz ...
G'night y'all!

Hi you all . Aye baby doing ok at mo . Came home tues tea time ended up bk at half 12 was stopping n starting breathing. Docs said some babies have irregular breathing now n then 😨. Scared us mind. Seems to have been ok since tho .

Lots of love to my crohnie my family. Our new baby says 'hi' πŸ‘Ά..big hugs  πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Oh Mandy, that is scary! I'm glad the little fella is ok now. It must be very hard to want to come into this big, strange world of ours, so I don't blame him for taking a few gasps. At the same time, I'm glad you and yours have him. β€πŸ’›β€

Hey Sandy oh ye abit hair raising. Fingers crossed he is fine at mo. Thanks for your kind words hun.
Hope those migraines give you a miss for a while my darlin . You sure deserve a break πŸ’–πŸ’œπŸ’›

Hi Everybody on a lovely sunny day
Glad you are feeling better Sandy...migraines are the absolute end..I get them frequently
and was referred by the family doc for an MRI last week
Yesterday I received a somewhat ominous report...a fluid collection on the right side of the brain behind the right ear and now have to go for a CAT scan and back to the ENT specialist.
Can't help thinking of my mum who used to say when I was younger that I need my head
examined!!!
The GI also checked me out very thoroughly, half killed me doing this and then ordered an
abdominal ultrasound....I hate those things ....the pain is usually unbearable...and having to
drink one and a half litres of water an hour before is not my idea of fun.
I am sure most of you have been through all this but it does not get easier.
It's good that spring is sprung though and the weather so nice for walking it all off.
My friend drove me yesterday to the shores of Lake Ontario and it was so peaceful and soothing to hear the lake water lapping and delivering balmy, soothing messages...didn't see any enclosed in bottles though. Safe for a paddle...no sharks visible......
It was just idyllic to leave the world behind for a few short hours....perfect for meditation.
Today it's down to earth with a Big Bang...
Love to our baby Mandy...hope he is well and thriving ...
Winning.....

Oh Trysha, you deserve a break too! Keep us informed on findings of CT scan, etc. And my mother used to say about the same thing, now I've had my head examined more times than I can count. :p
The ultrasound will be here and gone before you know it too. Hang in there! I'm glad you got to spend some time by the shores of Lake Ontario. Your description in itself was calming. You wax poetic even when not writing poems. :)
Mandy, is baby back home again, or did they keep him?
How is everyone else? Ron, I hope you are okay.
P.S. Carol, a "little birdie" flew clear from England to here and told me what a great friend you really are.

Hi Trysha oh the walk by the lake sounds the ideal tonic after a rough time with docs. Hope all goes well for you hun :hug:πŸ’•

Sandy ye baby Jaxon is home infact he was only at the hospital for around an hour !!. Which i found a bit strange but they seemed to think it ok to send him home. Apperently a lot of babies do that, periodic breathing thing. He does seem to be ok tho n mum n dad havent noticed another episode so far. So fingers crossed.

Love n hugs to you all πŸ’•πŸ’•

Oh Trysha, sorry to hear your latest news, keep us posted. I'm thinking of you.

Hi everyone, we are back in the US :D Heavily jetlagged, falling asleep at random places [emoji14]

Hope everyone is doing good. Special congratulations on becoming granny, Mandy :)

Hi thanks hun. Glad your back safe n sound. Hope you had a brillient time in India ☺. When the jet lag settles maybe you could tell us some of the highlights of your trip . β˜ΊπŸ’•πŸ’•

Thought I'd better make the effort before this thread gets deleted as surplus to requirements ...... Winning worryingly !!!!

Warm but cloudy today. Not doing much for my motivation. Maybe I'll just fill the washing machine (I will feel as if I'm actually accomplishing something) and see if there's a movie worth watching on the television.

Ahoy there me maties .. i just thought id got no updates again seems that the ship has been abandoned bar a couple😨
Come back all.. all is forgiven lol πŸ˜ƒ

You're my kind of gal!

Madhu, have you had any rest since coming back? How are you doing? How was it seeing your family? Is it good to be back, or do you want to go right back to India? I'll bet you feel a little torn between both places. I'm glad you're back here, tho.

Hope you are doing well these days,Sandy

Another absolutely dismal day weatherwise. The fog horns at the mouth of the river (TYNE) have been going all night. Not that we have as many ships in the river as the old days. But we still have a small fishing fleet and we get ferries to and fro daily from Holland and Denmark. Also an occasional Royal Navy and Cruise ship calls in........

Winning informatively (is that a word ?)

Hey Sandy! We just got back to normal schedule. I had to battle jetlag so much, I kept all house cleaning work when the whole town sleeps :) And the past week was so busy, we had to catch up with his dr appointments and infusion schedule. It was great seeing our family, but being here for 2 years in the US, I had forgotten how indisciplined and polluted India is. Was terrified to be on the road in the fear of getting killed :D I was looking fwd to getting back to the US and I am so glad to be back. This trip put both of us in a dilemma, because we were so sure earlier that we want to go back to India for good at some point. But now, we want to think ;)

Hi again Madhu. I think you will just have to realize that there are two countries where there are people that love you and that you love. I'm terrified to travel almost anywhere these days, but it appears the good ol' US is just a scary at the moment. :( 😨 Still, I feel relatively safe in my neck of the woods.
And yeah, Mandy, how is the little fellow? I hope that there weren't any more incidents.
Well I'm of to take care of some errands and chores, but I'm thinking of all you lovely people. Allie is trying to knock the phone out of my hand at the moment also, trying to get some of my attention. Ta ta for now!

Hope you are doing well these days,Sandy

Ron, you still make me smile. :) You are so very thoughtful. At the moment I'm ok, just hoping the migraines stay away. I hope you are well. Just know you are cared about. πŸ˜Šβ˜ΊπŸ˜€πŸ˜ƒ

I hate ironing sooo much, but I hate cleaning the oven, windows, blinds, and cooking etc. etc.
I just wish I didn't take my job so seriously. I wouldn't care but the pay's rubbish, for the hours I put in.And sick pay is non exsistant.....There are some perks with the job though.
I have FULL control of the remote.Hahaha.......Off to the shops.Behave yourselves.

Phew! I'm tired just reading about your "job." Well, off to do mine (which I do half heartedly). Allie said woof.

E-e-ek! Please don't shout so loud Carol....but thank you for asking...
Too many appointments and too many pains...I know you have all been there.
It has been a difficult time with so much going on.
Tomorrow the ultrasound ordered by the GI.
The following week a brain CAT scan to complement the MRI...apparently it shows details
not seen on an MRI....didn't know that.
Then it will be back to the neuro-ENT specialist to determine what if anything needs to be done.
Sometimes I think they forget the frail human being enduring all the pokes probes and
tests....and all the waiting for appointments and results.
Actually I don't feel frail although the GI insists that I am but I always argue the toss with him about this.i actually feel strong just sometimes a bit weak in the head !!!
Others on this forum have had it a lot worse than I have.
What can't be cured must be endured....etc...etc...
Wednesday's child is full of woe......sooner be a Sunday child...
Thanks to all you good friends on LOW.....your caring is touching...
It is lovely sunny weather though but a bit cool today at 18C...".nice for walking ......
Time to be .....
Winning...........

Labs tomorrow and antibodies testing to check levels before Thursday's infusion. Been worse. Glad to "see" everyone up and about.

Hi all.. for those in need of good luck i wish it you, for those in need of support i send it you, for those in need of love i send it you in barrow loads.πŸ’•πŸ’–πŸ’—πŸ’πŸ’ž

Our baby is doing ok so far no more issues. Feeding better too now ☺
Thanks for all your concern it is very much appreciated πŸ’•

Love n hugs to you all n keep as well as you can πŸ’•πŸ’•

Trysha,I'm a Sunday's Child,but of course I wouldn't be anything else would I, hahaha???

Except modest of course.....Winning modestly.

Went to doc today. Got test papers to get fresh copper tests done for doc in Auckland. Liver functions are still abnormal. They get higher as every month passes. I had a bad day tomorrow, people I care about let me down today. Tomorrow will be better, having breakfast with Steve. That will be a good start to the day.

According to the "experts",coffee's bad for us,dairy's bad for us,sugar's bad for us,stodge is bad for us,smoking's bad for us,alcohol is bad for us etc,etc,........

But don't worry, that's bad for us too.

The air that we breathe is bad for us.

Yes. He wants me to stay on Humira and start weaning off of Entocort. He wants me to use Preparation H. If I still have pain/irritation they want to scope me for fissure.

Wishing you the best Ron. Hope things get better soon mate πŸ’•

Carol cant wait for your other virtures to surface β˜ΊπŸ’•

Kirsty sorry you were let down hun. Hope you get the help you need. Sending hugs :hug:πŸ’•

Hanging around the infusion center today. Hope all is well with everyone. Lots of things bad in life. What they say may be good for you seems to have no pleasure. Life can be such a crap game. :rof:

Thank Ron. Pre-medicating with Benadryl makes me sleepy but today I could use the quiet. Brought some work with me but not sure I will get to it.

Hi Shanen....I feel for you it's no fun but if it works for you then worth it in the long run.
Do they give you a device to watch movies ? I. Used to avail myself of this because they made you pay for Internet connection on your own computer device.
Maybe you can do this with your laptop if you take it in with you....paying for the privilege is another thing altogether.
You could always try sleeping.if you are given Benadryl....they never gave that to me.
However everywhere is different.
Hopefully by the time you read this the infusion will be over and you will be relaxing at home.
Feel better soon
Hugs
Trysha

Thanks guys. Benadryl is to help prevent all allergic reaction. It's really not so bad. 3 1/2 hours and there wasn't a lot of patients today so it was quiet. Brought my tablet to pass time but for some reason the Benadryl won today and I slept quite a bit. B12 is 391/1000 so that's probably got a lot to do with it.

Good that it's over Shanen....hope you will feel better.
Are you getting B12 injections.?
Winning.....

Doing them myself every 2 weeks. Not a favorite activity of mine but Humira never got easier for me either.

You are very brave.....it's not something I would like to do.
Feel better...
Trysha
