Hi Dave, nice to see you! How are the dogs? How's the wife? (Not in that order. )
There must be a trend going, it's about 2:30 am here and I can't sleep either. My heart keeps racing and even tho the heart doc says it's a rather benign condition my heart has (for this aspect of my heart). I can't imagine that an often tachycardic heart (over 100 bpm) lasts as long as other slower hearts over a lifetime tho. I KNOW it wears me out when it happens at the moment. Or wakes me up, or keeps me awake as the case may be here. And I know this never happened before I had a "patch" put on my heart thru a catheter for an atrial septal defect (born with a hole on the heart that didn't close as it was supposed to after birth). I feel like I ran a marathon without any of the benefit, but like after an intense workout when heart beating fast, the ol body just doesn't want to sleep either.
A different subject, does anyone know anything about whether magnetic therapy really works for aches and pains, etc.? I saw a sales presentation on some magnetic mattress pads, and I'm almost convinced, tho most western medicine claims it's a bunch of hogwash. Still, I don't trust western medicine entirely, and especially in the US think "big pharma" plays too much of a role in our healthcare.
To answer your question partially, K, I still don't know the names of our soon to be temporary NZ neighbors (the homeowners that will be hosting are temporarily out of town themselves) but know they are from Auckland from our previous discussion. I will let you know when I know. It is a rather small world, isn't it?
Well, off to watch some TV to get my mind distracted from wild thumping in my chest while Doug and Allie Zzzzzzzzzzz ...
G'night y'all!
